I love your playlists! I must say I really do enjoy the ambient sounds you put in, makes me wonder what you would do with this one. But with our without, they are great!
Oh I like when you add the ambience. It helps me to immerse in the feeling of the playlist. The bright birdsongs in the hobbit and dancing with the fairies videos are why I love listening to those in the morning. And who doesn't love the sound of seagulls and crashing waves? Some of your other 'darker' videos would not be as moodshifting without the ambience. Thank you for making these. I've really enjoyed them.
Idk if its really your type of thing, but could you do a playlist like 'late 1800's archeologist in egypt' or something like that, your playlists are an actual life saver for me during term time
@@sundewbaggins I don't know if there's a lot of Middle Eastern/Egyptian-sounding music outside of films like the Mummy series and the recent Poirot movies (and maybe Theodosia for tv shows?), but you may want to check out the Nancy Drew: Tomb of the Lost Queen game soundtrack. It has some short ambient pieces, which could be interspersed between longer songs. Anyways, I fifth this idea. I actually thought of it while listening to this wonderful Carpe Diem playlist, not knowing there was already a comment about it, lol.
Okay, just the title of this provides an amazing writing prompt! Like, imagine a detective novel (or even a series) titled Carpe Diem. It's set in Victorian London (maybe even Steampunk Victorian London), and features an institution of detectives who possess powers like telepathy, x-ray vision, and invisibility. However, their scientific-minded peers shun them, and the detectives are forced to move underground so they're not discovered. The name of their institution? Carpe Diem--Seize the Day. When the rest of the city is fast asleep, they take to the streets to solve crimes and catch the city's most notorious criminals. How are they so good at this? Their teamwork, their talents, and their powers. OR make the detectives orphans. Street rats who've escaped an orphanage and have to solve a murder. They bond together over the fact that they have powers (which they keep hidden from the rest of the world). Keep the Victorian/Steampunk setting, and you've got a Dark Academia mystery with Gothic vibes (like Jane Eyre, Frankenstein, etc.) Wow. I just came up with two awesome story ideas. XD
Thanks so much! I've changed up the premise a bit. It's now set in Steampunk Victorian London, in the year 1885. Magic has been outlawed. But a few still linger underground. One of them is a young girl named Dorothy "Dolly" Haddon. The only child of Mr. Johnathan Haddon and Mrs. Lucretia Haddon, wealthy aristocrats, she is thrown out of her house at the age of 10, when she blossoms as a Pyrokinetic. Since then, Dolly has been forced to survive on the streets, stealing what she could. She became a master pickpocket and eventually was taken in by The Carpe Diem Detective Agency, an underground detective agency run by magic users. When a prominent supporter of magic users, Lord Thomason, is murdered at his own party, Dolly must take up the case and bring Thomason's murderer to justice.
Mystery await to be told This playlist is fantastic to the bone What mystery await in the unknown Will they stay alone or have grown? Just like a dramatic effect, is the mystery. Does it make you shiver? does it? Fantastic playlist as always! I really love those mystery themed vide
You have no idea how long I've been looking for this playlist! I love the specific style of the music you chose here, I keep looking for it on RUclips and I never find the right playlist or the right keywords to describe this... atmosphere, this... "genre". It's the only type of music that can keep me company while I study :) Thank you so very much, you've done an amazing work! 💜
Hello yes I am eagerly awaiting for if/whenever you release a third one of these 👀👀 I listen to this playlist (and the other mystery one) when I write stories about my fantasy detective trio. Your playlists are IMMACULATE (with or without ambience)
@@bellyherehi! Thank you so much for this, it's really encouraging! Back all these months later just to say I am still working on these stories and I plan to post them somewhere when I'm done. So maybe someday, if you still want to read them, you can ❤
Still here love your work, Sundew Baggins. I hope you remember my comments from before right now my life is turned upside down made a decision that I didn’t want to make, but had to. Is there anyway you can do me a favor I know it takes a while for you to upload a video with a good playlist Can you do me a favor by creating a playlist for a broken heart specifically something dramatic foreboding painful. I have recently left my love and now I am broken mentally physically, and I wish for your talent at finding songs to create a playlist that is fitting of a truly broken heart that was broken by their self because they had too.
This is called: Paul..... Don't ask why, it's an inside joke... PAUL. I’ve already begun to forget the feel of the sun on my face as it came through the cracks in the hay ceiling. The touch of my wife’s hand as she brushed my scruffy, blond hair out of my face. The sound of my children’s laughter as they played in the field. The smell of fresh, homemade bread wafting through the air with a touch of earthy herbs. Now, everything is numb. Everything is dark. I no longer know the touch of the sun's rays peeking over the horizon, only the beckoning of the moon as it creeps behind the clouds. I only hear his voice. I only know his eyes. Yet, I will summon every last memory in me, and try to remember one last time… before it all vanishes and I am finally consumed by the night. So, here, through my broken voice and shattered skin, I will tell the story as best I can and then find life’s final release. P.s. anyone interested in a writing server on discord that isn't overly complicated? Just for sharing and talking? I might make one if anyone wants....

Would you perhaps...consider doing a wild west themed playlist? Based off of something like the 1993 Tombstone movie?

Listening while working on Cain's Jawbone in the hopes that it helps me crack the case
Just solved a mystery listening to this! 🧐

4:39 sounds very much like Dowton Abbey
Hey, Sundew, since you enjoy Dark Academia, would you mind doing a playlist on Wuthering Heights? I think it's right up your alley.
Could you do a space exploration playlist next?
I swear the first track to this always makes me think of Six Feet Under
Do you have spotify list?
