Love this playlist. It's getting me through writing my open memo for my 1L year of law school. When law school gets toxic and stressful, I just shut myself in my room with low lights, and tackle my research with this playlist and let myself imagine I'm doing this research not in my drafty apartment, but rather in some corner of a beautiful antique library.
Wonderful playlist. It pairs well with books like 'Brideshead Revisited' by Evelyn Waugh, 'A Separate Peace' by John Knowles, or even 'Possession' by A.S. Byatt.
i cannot believe this screencap is still making the rounds… i took it and shared it in january of 2017 and here it is on my youtube home page ahahah i'm so glad people still love it but i wish they watched the film it comes from, Mario Martone's Leopardi (2014)

Do you think you would be happy to make a dark academia playlist with some sort of spooky undertone, maybe a vampiric theme to it or something? I love these Playlists
@@salixcinerea Correct, it also reminded me of Gwyn's palace in Anor Londo. The nostalgia is present, that's why I put that image in the first place :)
The picture reminds me of a dream I have since I’m a child (I’m 23) of another boy, in different scenarios each time, he teaching me how to pray with the exact correct posture so I don’t offend mother church, we singing a song in another language, rehearsing it along the organ, we using shorts and red ties, running around the place made mostly of wood, then as adults knowing he’s gay and how he started to destroy himself looking for other gay men in public restrooms till death came sooner than it should, that sorrow with sad organ music on the background, once I let him kiss me, just to see he felt shame cause he felt I wasn't gay, but only loved him back with purity. I believe I’m gay now purely to his honour. The picture doesn’t make me feel like in my dreams, but makes me wonder about how common it has been through centuries this love story at only-boy boarding schools, and the detestable tragedy, the innocence of friendship crossing the limits of what we were supposed to feel for each other. Like running through a forest made of marble, escaping together.
you should definitely write a story about it. It is really touching, and I think a lot of people could relate to it. I would love to read such a story.

@@LaGinestra1798 Thank you so much! I've wanted to know where this is from for ages now. I was confused for a second cause that name sounded familiar and I searched it on google and it directed me to the movie Leopardi, and I got that confused with the movie The Leopard from the 60s 😅 but no The Leopard is one movie and Leopardi is another movie, anyway thanks again.
My mom used to play the third one on the piano, didn’t know it was Bach. Thanks for letting me know, nowadays I’m not able to ask her anymore.
I’m really sorry to hear that and I hope you are doing alright. I’m really glad I helped, thank you for sharing ❤
you should learn and play it on piano so it feels like shes playing it with you :P

Les musiques et la magnifique image sont bien loin de notre triste monde d'animaux humains ; grand merci pour cette beauté !

That’s a beautifully vivid description of your dream! Bear in mind that every person here is welcome despite their sexuality, gender or ethnicity! 😊
Maybe you’ll find each other in the next life

Wow
love the playlist, perfect for fall. Where do you find the songs?

@@Prototype-357 I feel you, it's really frustrating when there isn't a link where the picture it's from.
do anyone have some book or e-book recommendation to read with this playlist maybe?
Read or reread "the picture of Dorian Gray" ;)
Dead poets society.
does anyone know the source image that first appears with the two characters on the stair case? I'm looking for the building that architecture is in.
It's from "Il giovane favoloso", a movie about the life of the italian poet Giacomo Leopardi.
can you list the songs you used?
Since you asked for it the songs will be listed later. Thanks for the feedback ❤️

That is not an issue of mine. Check if your browser is outdated or if you have corrupt cache. The playlist feature works fine for me.
