great vid. i was super suspicious at the time of 7tv rise because it was around the same time as chatsen for mobile & there was a lot of talk about the unmoderated emotes on both platforms. kinda proud to see someone take on bttv & then do it better

yo syrmaa i love your vids :) ive had an idea for a video for a long time but i dont think i have enough time or motivation to do it since it would be a big project for me, and i also think itd fit your channel well, so ill just tell it to u here: evolution of the emote meta. the idea was a sort of history/timeline of twitch emotes, the most popular ones and those that stopped being used. i had the idea because every now and then i catch myself trying to google what happened to certain emotes that i never see use anymore whenever im not keeping up with twitch in a while. i thought it was interesting to see emotes that i thought would last in the mainstream forever like PepeLaugh get moreorless replaced by Clueless (only for clueless to lose the spotlight to the "superior" Aware), and im sure there are plenty of emotes that ive forgotten about over the years. i think if theres anyone that could make this video, its you, so i felt like sharing. hope you consider the idea bc i have been wanting the video to exist for a while haha. gauge#1580 if u need anything ❤️

FFZ is still the best option for chatters. The customisation options are just too powerful.
If it’s the best option for streamers I don‘t know and frankly don‘t care.
Oh yeah, I do remember everyone using the Linus variants of OkayChamp & WeirdChamp after FFZ removed almost all the Gootecks emotes. Then everyone went back to the Gootecks ones since BTTV kept them up (PogU, WeirdChamp, OkayChamp, and PagChomp. That being said, I do like the creativity with 7TV & all the options that come with it. Plus, it has the other extensions built in.
