I wish I did! any rare footage I do have is what I've downloaded from other youtube channels and re-uploaded to mine if the original uploader removes it for some reason (I re-uploaded 4 wande when it got deleted) This interview was from rbb's facebook page - not everyone has facebook which is why I uploaded it here. There might be something in my Rio playlist which you haven't seen before if you look through that ;)

After I saw it on your channel, I fell in love with the whole album "Rio Reiser singt Lieder von kleinen und großen Vorstadttigern" which is on youtube as well - truly amazing songs. I'm planning to do a cover version of "Hereinspaziert" in the near future. I've already uploaded a cover version of "Irrlicht" and "Blinder Passagier". Last week I've uploaded a clip about Rio concerning the TV show "Einspruch!" and how he acted like a role model during that discussion. Unfortunately, I don't have any other rare stuff apart from Rio's version of the song "Wenn ich mir was wünschen dürfte" that I converted from an old tape into mp3. And I have a video tape of the Tatort "Im Herzen Eiszeit", but I don't know how to convert that yet... ;-)
@@professorbarsten4943 The only suggestion I can give you to upload to youtube from a video is to perhaps make a dvd copy of the vhs tape first? but that's probably easier said than done - I have a video to dvd recorder but it just won't record anything from any video I've tried to copy! I'm glad you like my translation of 'Schnufflersong' - I didn't have an mp3 copy of this so to get the audio for my video I downloaded ..Singt Leider von kleinen und Grossen Vorstadttigern' as an mp3 and edited it down in movie maker. 'Im Herzen Eiszeit' was on youtube until a few months ago but it wasn't the complete episode - for some reason the upload was hugely edited - I think it's either been removed or made private by the uploader. I do find it strange there isn't more Rio footage on here, but some songs or tv appearances might be blocked by record companies or tv studios - I have three more videos on my channel 'Blinder passagier' 'zauberland' and 'strasse' which are currently blocked - I was able to upload them without getting a copywrite strike - but straight away they were blocked from being viewed globably from youtube so perhaps this is why there is little footage of Rio? also like yourself, people might have footage on a format they can't figure out how to convert to upload? there will be very few video players around these days and even connecting them to something which can make a digital copy? I doubt many video players will even have the compatable connections to connect to dvd recorders or laptops. The only way I can think to record from video tape is to set up a camcorder on a tripod and record directly from the tv screen as the video is playing - but without a good microphone the volume probably wouldn't be very good.

On my channel, I‘m mainly dealing with two artists - Rio and Michael Jackson. Both were having problems with Sony. I‘ve read that Sony wasn‘t interested in promoting Rio‘s last album "Himmel und Hölle". The same happened with Michael Jackson‘s "HIStory" album that included many strong pieces against the abuse of power and political corruption. Sony Pictures Chief Amy Pascal even let her husband, who was a a famous critic for the NY Times back then, eviscerate the album. Unfortunately, the record company is playing games in their own manner and it isn‘t interested in affording an opportunity to discover Rio‘s and Michael‘s amazing uniquity with regards to artistry, to politics and so on. Maybe we even have to be glad that there is at least some rare stuff available to watch and listen to. It seems to be all about "Geld", so the line "Nicht mal Samt und Seide können ihre Pferdefüße tarnen" really fits. ;( Would you like to have "Wenn ich mir was wünschen dürfte" as mp3? The version I have includes the first stanza and is a bit longer than the the short excerpt which appears in "Ich bieg Dir‘n Regenbogen". I could upload it to a cloud and send you the link afterwards. And I could try that as well with my TV version of "Im Herzen Eiszeit" when I‘m finished with the digitalization.
@@professorbarsten4943 I don't have any 'cloud' accounts - unless it's possible to access the mp3s via links - I'm not sure if I've got this account set to receive private messages to be honest I'll have to check. You could also post the cloud link here and give other fans a chance to download it too? What I'd probably do if I had an mp3 copy would be to attempt a translation video because this is what I'm doing with this channel - I'm a British fan and I wanted to bring Rio's music to an audience who might overlook him because of the language barrier. What happened to Michael Jackson was truely horrific! there's very sinister things happening in the 'entertainment industry' it might make some people very rich in this life but there's a bigger price they pay with the 'games they play'
