    Thank you for the review. Is it possible to do a comparation between that one and Klim Marrakesh? and also maybe Revit Nucleus.

      Hi, firstly, thank you for the complement, always appreciated. Unfortunately, this channel isn't large enough for me to get producs from say Klim or Rev-It, so reviews are done on my personal kit alone.

    I have the Knox MK3. It's so comfortable I don't even know I'm wearing it. It IS the Jacket for Protection! It is Perfect.
    I have looked everywhere for pants to match. I have found 2: The Bohn Body armor pants with body armor in the tail, bone, hips, thighs, and knees. They have a Summer cut, a Winter cut ( 8.0 oz. Brushed Lycra) with knee pads extending to the shins, and an Adventure cut, same ( 5.14 oz brushed Lycra), with smaller knee pads, no shin pads for your higher off-road boots. Beautiful! The second pair of pants I found were Pando Moto's skin AAA Armored Leggings with hip and knee pads that have a skin of double-layer armored fabric. Perfect! I have an underlayer of protection now.

      Absolutely, the Knox jacket is an amazing bit of protective clothing. I'm the same, I hardly know I've got it on. For me, personally I still prefer a good pair of leather trousers with knee and hip armour, but thats just a personal choice.
      Thanks for both watching the video review and taking the time to share your thoughts.

    Hey, thanks for this video. Really appreciate it. I just ordered the Honister earlier today. What are your stats if I may ask? I'm 5'9", 41" chest, and about 175 pounds and ordered the large. I'm hoping I ordered the right size as I'm in Canada and don't want to have to exchange it. Size L was sold out in Canada so had to order direct from the UK.

    • @robchisholm72
      @robchisholm72  Год назад

      Hi BronsonDC, thanks for watching and taking time to comment.
      Glad you've ordered it, dependant on where in Canada you live, you'll probably only wear it in the Summer unless you choose to use it as an armoured layer with some warm or waterproof layer over it. I tend to use it as a summer 'jacket'. My stats are 5'6" with a 41" chest and around 154 pounds. So I think the large is the right size, bear in mind it has to be close fitting or figure hugging all over, that way the armour stays where it's meant to. It does feel tight when you first put it on but it's meant to. I hope your's arrives soon.

      How is the fit? I have similar measures and will also order L.

    • @yamahapilot
      @yamahapilot 2 месяца назад

      @@urikuri I ended up returning the size L and sizing down to an M. It cost me a lot to return it to the UK from Canada, and I had to pay tax and duty twice, but I'm glad I did it. The L looked great and fit like a fashionable jacket, but it had too much room inside, and even the elbow part was moving around. The M is nice and snug and fits exactly the way it's supposed to as a riding jacket if I go down.

    Nice review, mate. Did you wear this jacket at all during the cracking heat wave we had not long ago? If so, how did it cope?

    • @robchisholm72
      @robchisholm72  2 года назад +1

      Hi Brenden, thanks for enjoying the video and commenting.
      Yes I did, it was ok while moving but with the optional chect armour I did find it reduced the airflow to the point my t-shirt was abit damp... also the sleaves stuck to my arms so was harder to take off during the heat wave, but felt great on the move.

      @@robchisholm72 Maybe not the best for super hot weather then. Probably doesn't help much that the UK also gets seriously humid during summer. Well, cheers for taking the time to reply!

    Hi, have you wearing this jacket in hot summer let's say 34degrees ish, does the mash in front of jacket flow airs? Thanks

    • @robchisholm72
      @robchisholm72  10 месяцев назад +2

      Hi, I was wearing it in mid 30 degrees during the filming, yes. I would wear it as my warm/hot Summer jacket without question and when moving you do get good airflow across the body, but I found a sweat patch behind the optional D3O chest armour area.
      Thanks for watching and taking time to leave a question.

      Hi Steve, thanks for commenting and watching.
      This jacket is a very close fitting garment. I bought the Medium, as that's my normal 'size' and it fits snuggly. Don't forget the model's will be very trim, both male and female. Below are the size guides;
      S M L XL 2XL 3XL 4XL
      Chest (inches) 35-37 38-40 41-43 44-46 46-48 48-50 50-52
      Waist (inches) 30 32 34 36 38 40 42
      If you buy one from sportsbikeshop.co.uk and the fit isn't right, you can send it back.

    What’s the highest temp you’ve worn it in? Thinking of this vs the Urbane mk3

    • @robchisholm72
      @robchisholm72  6 месяцев назад

      Hi Jay, hottest I've worn this in was around 34c/93f during the 'hot' spell last year here in the UK. To be fair, either will do for those hotter days, the Urbane, does have more pockets while the Honister is more 'close fitting'.

    Why does no one talk about the abrasion testing of this thing??

    • @robchisholm72
      @robchisholm72  2 года назад +2

      Hi Orion, thanks for watching and taking time to leave a comment. Abrasion testing is a subject many motorcycle clothing manufacturers don't mention as they don't actually do very well. Knox on the other hand is very proud of the fact this jacket is a AAA rated, this is reflected by the AAA tag being gold stitched in the upper back on the inside. The problem with abrasion testing is there's two standard tests which focus on different parts aspects of abrasion. I recommend you watch the attached video; ruclips.net/video/n22vtWc8QRw/видео.html

    • @orionnocap
      @orionnocap 2 года назад +2

      @@robchisholm72 hey mate, appreciate the thought out and informative response. I do understand there's a level of abrasion testing needed for the AAA rating, but I feel more technical data about abrasion should be public for those tests and how each armor scores.

    • @henryslager9406

      @@orionnocapI agree, the organization doing the testing could at the minumum publish a list with tested products and their achieved ratings.
