Nothing disrespectful in my opinion. She's getting changed into clothing suitable for Rosh HaShana and Yom Kippur. She puts on a white dress and changes from leather shoes to canvas shoes. She then changes the calendar to show the change from Elul to Tishri and the book she takes out says "Open Gate".
