Em qual vídeo foi isso?
This video is so good! Hahahahaha the screaming part got me laughing so hard 😂
I also loved how you gave the example of how crazy it would be to have a taco on the “Brazil in box”, I totally get it! Thank you for educating us!
Flavia Calina aint Acarajé a form of taco?
I wouldn't mind having a taco at a brazilian food chain. :P
Diego Liberal Well, heck no
They're very different things and in Brazil it's quite difficult to find tacos, i, for example have never seen tacos out of mexican food restaurants
sorry for my bad English
Flavinha s2
What makes it more funny is that tacos (at least the ones we know today) are actually a Tex-mex food than actually mexican foods. If there's anything to correct, just tell me. :)
Meus sobrinhos te amam
yakisoba o maior inimigo do jeff
I like that you put the subtitles in Portuguese, now it's very easier to understand. Thank you from Brazil! :)
Edit: I love the way you rage when you see Yakissoba 😂
Luiz Felipe Man much easier

Explanation to Jeff Feng:
Any Asian cooked food in Brazil IS chinese
Any Asian raw food in Brazil IS japanese
o miserável é um gênio kkk
Wait! You're a Chinese speaking in English about a Chinese restaurant created by a Japanese in Brazil, which in fact the food is Japanese and not Chinese... (?) 🤔😲😵
Espera! (?) 🤔😲😵
Anne Victório you forgot to mention he lives in Canada ahahah
Pretty much nailed it, lol.
this is globalization dear
Okay so I am confused
Jeff Feng I am not 100% sure but I think that the "Yakisoba" sold in Brazil is in fact Chow Mein, Chow Mein is a Chinese food brought to Brazil by Japanese immigrants and they called it Yakisoba for some reason. Look this video about a Japanese eating the Brazilian "Yakisoba", he liked it but said that its not the Yakisoba that he knows in Japan:
ruclips.net/video/h7b5bjKnr1o/видео.htmlm40s
DEEM LIKE PRA ELE LER ISSO POR FAVOR.
up
Chow mein was brought to Brazil by Japanese immigrants and is thus referred as yakisoba. It fits Brazilian tastes rather than Japanese ones though, and is thus more similar to the North American versions of chow mein.
Pastelarias and Asian restaurants serve it in the entire country. They generally are presented in chicken (the most common), beef, shrimp and pork versions, with vegetarian and egg versions being much rarer. Brazilian yakisoba is typically served much more al dente than the Japanese, being also heavy in soy sauce, sesame oil, and vegetables, almost always including at least carrot, cabbage, onion and at least one dark green species (usually other than kale, collard, spinach, chicory or mustard) such as Chinese cabbage, and less often either bean sprouts, broccoli/broccolini, zucchini, shiitake, bell pepper and/or cucumber.
Also popular is yakibifum, its equivalent that uses rice vermicelli instead of wheat noodles. Brazilian spring rolls' (rolinhos-primavera or harumakis) fillings generally use the same ingredients of the stir-fried noodles in the restaurants or fast-food chains they are found, though spring rolls may have cheese, usually white (such as catupiry or other kinds of requeijão, or queijo minas), or tofu instead of meat, uncommon for the noodles. All of them, but most often and especially spring rolls, may be served with bright red molho agridoce (sweet-sour sauce), that combines ketchup, vinegar, sugar, star anise and other spices.
lol
Damianizando Não sabia q vcs eram amigos, fiquei super bugada pensando "Caraca eles se conhecem desde quando?? É ele mesmo??"
Rumor has it that pastéis were invented by Japanese migrants who adapted the Chinese recipe for spring rolls, I guess we'll never know the truth.
Pasteis were in portugal before I think.
vc é o cara di desce a letra kkk
Well, don't feel so bad about yakisoba in the menu. Sadly the most contact and reference we normally have with chinese culture is through Jack Chan movies. It means our average population don't know even the name of the majority of the >real chinese< menu. The China in Box guys would be broke by now. In contrast, anime made japanese food quite popular, so it's like kinda representation of the whole orient to us. And it maybe kills your spirit a little more, but yaksoba is the most popular order in China in Box, it's fucking good =)
i don't particularly like china in box but there was always this restaurant called just "china" in my city that i loved. loved their chop suey
Jeff is such a baby. The restaurant is just making some money, and you can't even see a guy hugging a girl that u go crazy because it's not u. Gezz man, stop being such a progressive loser pretending u care when uare just jealous. All men that are feminists are like that
I know the feeling, I'm a cook too(besides asian), Brazil and tacos is the best comparison. Hey Jeff, would u be surprised if I tell u that in the Beijing olympics the brazillian mcdonalds(I believe this was worldwide) did a "China burger"? And guess what?? THEY JUST PUT A YAKISOBA ON IT! You can still find it in google.
Kioshi seriously?
I wish it wasn't. Just google it, haha.
www.goodiesfirst.com/images/6a00d83451b77469e20120a52b25bf970b.jpg
Kioshi entendi nada brother
E adivinha ?? ELES APENAS COLOCAM UM YAKISOBA NELA! Você ainda pode encontrá-lo no google.
Rodrigo de Oliveira Ramos MUUUUUITO OBRIGADA
Sorry dude, but in Brazil, that "they all look alike" is applied to food too.
You probably do not know Brazil. "They all look alike," are you serious?
Seriously man, Brazil is one of the most ethnical diverse countries in the world. Every one has a different face there. They have the second biggest population of Libanese, Japanese and Italian descendants of the world (after the countries themselves), just to give you some idea.
This is officialy the best channel ever.
Not only are you talking about Brazil and China in Box, but you're REALLY funny!
Loved your "yaki- yaki- Y A K I S O B A" and the "B O L O D E C E N O U R A". Both are comedy gold!
Also, the subtitles are really good! I can watch English videos without subtitles and understand them, so I was seeing if the translation to portuguese was good, and it was!
Hi, Jeff. About Yakisoba and fried Sushi: Brazil is the country with the largest number of Japanese outside of Japan. Japanese culture is fully integrated in Brazil. We have many restaurants from all over the world. Believe it: The famous Arabian food restaurant here also sells Japanese food in its menu. The owner of China in Box, also owns the Gendai (famous Japanese restaurant). When he comes to Brazil he will notice that there is China in Box and Gendai everywhere. Brazilians consume a lot of Japanese food, you will find it in restaurants of Italian food, arabaes, Chinese, pizzerias, steak house, everywhere. Here near the house has an ice cream shop that on the milder days, also sells sushi. And the "Fried Sushi" here we call Hot Roll. Yes we took a fried Asian food we put a name in English and despite the "hot" we served cold. This is the Brazil
There is sushi in the churrascarias and pizzerias all over my city xD
Litteraly this.. Sushis in pizzerias, churrasco in chinese restaurants, etc.. They all got the same menu pretty much :\

A última propaganda feita por Jeff e Damiani ficou melhor :3
This video was quite fun to watch. Thank you!
In Brazil people eat chinese and japonese food together, so they used that for MONEY
And China sounded better, but I think is Asian food hehehe
Amanda Matos i like so much my dog , excuse me china
Eric Avila oh baby
Not every Chinese eat dog! Hehehehehhe
japonese
Exactly! I think he was expecting to find just chinese food, which explain his frustration when he saw yakisoba. Actually, Brazil has a huge japanese community and I believe majority of us know Yakisoba isn't from China. Wrong or not (I respect both of these cultures), I love this Crossover hehe
Amanda Matos asia in box
I'm Brazilian and I can explain the yakisoba thing! Well, we know that the yakisoba is Japanese but, it got in Japan from China. The recipe is a little different, but is still similar. Japanese immigration is far far stronger in Brazil than from any other Asian country. So, almost everything Asiatic that we know here in Brazil, is Japanese (specially in the states of São Paulo and Paraná). Calling it yakisoba is easier for us, because that sounds more familiar. When in Brazil people that doesnt know you will probably call you "the Japanese guy", because that almost the only kind of Asian people that we see around, please don't be mad at us for that 😂. Plus, when he said "call China " the commercial was talking about the China in box, not the country 😂
I keep returning to watch this video from time to time. It's so good
I loved the video!! I'm totally subscribing. Love from Brazil!! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
The worst thing is that I thought yakisoba was chinese. I'm sorry, I can feel your pain :(

congratulations jeff, amazing content! Keep it coming
Cheff we loe you, you do our days really better you is a awesome guy, pls never stop to do this videos.
That ad showing 3 hamburguers, a bunch of pankakes and slices of pizza is just like China In Box telling you their box is small, but can fit a lot of food, and they even tell that it is real food. They say that it's real food to try to stand away from fast food. China in box invests a lot of money in research to know who are the biggest players, and who would be the biggest "threat", and probably the conclude that people who intent to by their product would also consider fast foods like pizza, which is extremely popular in Brazil, and hamburguers, like Mc Donalds. I dont have a single ideia where the pancakes came from on that concept. The guy in a panda hat is kind of a persona. People who tend to like asian culture, tends likes ansian food, so a that guy with a panda hat would be a message like "we are asian, you like asian, lets fall in love with this (not) chinese yakisoba"... That's why they ~~force~~ a lot of chinese/asian stuff, like Jenga...
ow, and by the way, dont take it like it was personal, we ~~messed up~~ italian, japanese, portuguese, french, and a lot of other cuisines. Brazil is a little bit like Canada, we have the biggest japanese population out of japan, probabily italian too... a lot of imigrants... we tend to mix up the stuffs...
wasnt pancakes, that food was esfiha, its like a thin pie from Syria and around brought to Brazil by immigrants, that commercial was about China in box against McDonald Habbib's and probably domino's pizza
Jeff, your videos are really really really funny, please don't stop make them
I can't stop laughing since the first Yakisoba.
My sides hurt and my bellybutton popped.
Subbed!
*CHINAAAA IIIIIIIIN BOX*
he is so funny :D
MUITO MUITO MUITO BOM
Chinaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in box!
Yakisoba, is a dish of Chinese origin, which became popular in Japan.
According to Google
FΣΛЯ and “ramen” (lamen) is not a japanese food comes by China..this is not amazing!?
ye
Yakisoba is a name in japanese of a japanese dish. If there was a dish before Yakisoba but similar to it in China why wouldn't they just sell it instead of Yakisoba lol japanese (as the language) in a Chinese restaurant makes me cringe
SO GLAD this was the first video I saw from your channel hahahahhahaha You are great Jeffy! Made me laugh HARD on a difficult day! Ps: Didn’t know about yakisoba 😂
AHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAA i rarely laugh at a video unless it's a meme thing, but THIS ONE gave me some pretty good laughs
IT'S AWESOME JEFF!!!!
I think the restaurant uses the name "China in Box" because it is much more showy, but they serve "Asian food" in general (Chinese and Japanese).
Eles também servem esfihas, pizzas e hambúrgueres.
Asia In Box também funciona
Jeff obrigada pela legenda. Jeff ficou muito pistola com o Yakisoba. Hahahahahah
Claro! Colocamos cream cheese no sushi e é um prato brasileiro agora. Chama-se Hot Filadelfia.
never heard of you before but this video earned a sub not even knowing what kind of content you have
The best part was damiani voicing the end of the video lmao
Also yeah, I came from his channel
Chinadá
Kkkkk
Franklin Souza xiiiiiii, não dá
I'm pretty sure that I saw a video about a brazillian girl eating chinese food with chinese people and she ate yakisoba because is a current dish in china. Later I discovered that yakisoba is originally from China, but popularized on Japan.
Exactly, yakisoba is actually an chinese dish, but it got popular in japan, but how and when I don't know. I don't even like japanese food.
Ok I need to say that.
You are a funny guy who say cool stuff about a thing we make here in Brasil. I realy liked your approach.
Subscribed!
I wish success to you and to your time in here when you come.
^^
Thanks bro, it was a really funny video! The ending was awesome hahaha
Censurado por: bolo de cenoura!
O JEFF É MUITO BOM! ASHUSAHSUAH Precisa fazer mais vlogs.
Greetings from Brazil,i always wanted to see videos like these ((where people from other countries take a look at this type of stuff)).
((Nice Pachimarry btw :3))
That was amazing!! I totally agreed with you. Great video Jeff
TACOS AHAHAHAHAHAHAH.
Dude, I enjoyed this video a LOT. LOL! Jeff is so pissed!
The thing is that the only Brazilian Portuguese term for that dish is "yakisoba", because Japanese immigration is older, bigger and more formative to Brazilian culture than Chinese immigration, so Chinese restaurants refer to chopsticks as "hashi" and never "kuaizi", so most Asian terms in Brazil are Japanese, and we consider these words Brazilian already, so there is no mistake in calling the chowmein by its "Japanese" name, because it's its Brazilian name already.
Nopes... They are really the japanese yakisoba.
The point is that it's nothing like real yakisoba... So it's weird 😭
Kiki The Cat yep, but it's a Brazillian try to make the yakisoba overall. But some of them are really delicious whenever they are not really yakisoba they taste good xD
Jeff, the king of carrot cake!!!
LOL....Yep, it is weird to see a Chinese fast food offering Japanese food...but that happens because those dishes are very, very popular in Brazil. You can even buy yakisoba from street vendors in the city of São Paulo.
I see that this can be potentially offensive for Chinese people but, as a Brazilian, if I found a Braizilian restaurant abroad selling tacos, I'd find it just cute. I don't think many Brazilians would be offended, as long as the place make it clear for its clienta that this particular item is not Brazilian.
As a side note, São Paulo has a lot of Chinese immigrants and some good Chinese restaurants too, but don't expect traditional Chinese food. Most places here make Chinese food adapted to the taste of Brazilians.
That was really funny, great video!
Jeff, good evening and I HOPE YOU READ THIS!!!
I just LOVED your review, since it was so honest and, also, direct.
It's true, indeed that there are many dishes in the menu which are Japanese, such as those pointed here.
CHINA IN BOX brand was invented in the 90s based on Chinese restaurants in USA. It all started when one student (from a Japanese family) went to USA do do a post-graduation course in Dentistry and got in touch with the concept of Chinese food. He got fascinated and bring it to Brazil.
The Japanese food in the 90s was not well received here because it wasn´t considered "food" because in that it time thing NEEDED to be not raw but, besides that, he noticed it could sell the Yakisoba since it caught the attention. In Brazil most part of people KNOW that it is a Japanese food, as well as those hot rolls, pointed by you.
Another thing, about eating tacos as Brazilian food, you made me laugh a LOT!!! It actually happened to me when I went to USA! My first meal was tacos since they taught it was a "Latin American" food.
China in box was kinda going under and almost at the point of bankruptcy, so they had to diversify including yakisoba and sushi on their menu... btw, their yakisoba kinda tastes good.
Are you SURE that yakisoba is not chinese?? My entire life I thought yakisoba was originally from China, but it was more famous in Japan. All the chinese restaurants in Brazil say this...I also did a little research on internet (only in brazilian websites) and that's the "correct" information. Omg my life was a lie D:

We are good at blaspheming countries cultures.
Hey Jeff, Yakisoba Jr for R$10 was a long time ago, now is about 8USD minimum, but 1USD is R$4.... Here they put creamcheese and mango (the fruit) or strawberry in Sushi, then when you land here, do not strange anything....
Adilio Santos And it's good to remember that there are many Brazilians who receive R$900 per month (more or less U$225)
saudades quando china in box era affordable :(
Sushi parace disgustante asim
Kkkkkkk cara ri muito nesse video! Parabéns pelo canal e sucesso!
so glad to have opened this video! hope you get to know northeastern part of the country, in case you need to know what it looks like just watch it here ! cya man

Jeff a Chine in Box deveria patrocinar você kkkk. Vídeo muito bom, parabéns.
(Just a note) Jeff, C$ 3.40 (or $ 2.60) is really cheap if you consider the Canadian minimum wage, but here in Brazil this value is about C$ 324.40 (or $ 246.30). Basically one "Chinese Yakisoba Junior" (haha) costs 1% of total monthly expense, which is very expensive if you consider another monthly costs.
True! The brazilians pockets got really less money than they realise.
By the way I'm Braziliam. :/

i miss the beautiful days when yakisoba were only R$ 10,00. I never understood why they serve yakisoba in a Chinese restaurant aaaaaa
Muito bom essas legendas

Hilarious video, loved it!
* You don't have idea how many times I've been bullied with that (not only as a child)... 😬
Omggg, I absolutely laughed my ass out. I just loved you, you're so absolutely fun.
I can't talk for others, but I always knew China in box sold Japanese food too, and I think it is a way to expand its range for potencial costumers, since Japanese food is ridiculously famous around here.
Anyway, I am the biggest fun of Chinese food and now I just really REALLY want to go to China so I can experience real Chinese food.
Oh, and sadly, China in box is not that cheap anymore, not in São Paulo al least :(
China in box is sooo good. Yakisoba os my favoritos chinese food, lol
*DAMIANI?*
"Oh you can't just touch a girl like that"
Well said!
hahahahahaha eu ri demais no fim do video, continue sendo espontâneo assim que voce vai longe. Seu chinês canadense fofinho haha
They wanna sell..and as a bunch of people dont know the difference between chinese and japanese cuisines, it's just better to sell everything thats asian in order not to lose clients. Its so common to find yakisoba in chinese restaurants in here, that when I went to a japanese restaurant and saw yakisoba on the menu, I thought they were wrong
Jeff thank you to respekt wamen 👏👏👏👏

Jeff, your channel is being really cool, send it on.
Hey. I liked your video. Congrats. Very good content. I am Brazilian. I am just here to say nd explain the reason that name of the company is China in box even though it sells Asian , Japanese and Americanized Chinese food is simply because it sounds better than just Japan in box or anything else. So that is why but it is a better of fast food mainly of Chinese, Japanese and Asian food. They even explained that in their our advertisements at the beginning. It is on the lady ad you put in this video but in Portuguese so you wouldn't understand.
Hugs.
