Saying you work for IT/game companies basically means they assume you're under some contract to not say anything detailed, so you can get away with answering general stuff while video editors should have your work be displayed in the credits somewhere. Friends, especially good friends, will be worried for you if they think your work is not appreciated, and that will open another can of worms that you don't want.

I feel like it's more they don't wanna deal with explaining the whole streaming job than NDA stuff

Huh... did she go to school in Japan and not Korea? Since her classmates use LINE.

Think she just said Line so they wouldn't be confused if she brought up KakaoTalk or whatever they use over there. I think LINE is also becoming a synonym for texting somewhat ("they LINEd me").

when i graduated college, i got a job making ~120,000 USD. i worked remote and lived with my parents, so after 4 years I had saved up around 350K including prior savings. savings accounts pay 5% interest annually, so i get about 15,000 from that. i don't spend much money and don't pay for food or rent at my parents house, so technically i could neet forever if i maintain this lifestyle. it's not too hard if u don't spend much money, savings will last you a while.
