The song of Bustered titled “Lost Child” seems soft when you only see its title, but shows strong charms of new metal style combining the unique original sounds and good characteristics of Bustered by starting the song with powerful shouts. The song has some senses that would appeal to fans of Pantera or the Korean band, Pia, but also shows the right hand playing style (tapping with both hands) which was popular in 80's and 90's for the guitar playin in the middle of the song at the same time so that the song is transcending the era. Escaping from the reality under the pressure and full of contradictios, the song is sending a message to leave to the free world with you.

Korea needs more bands like this!
Im a bit too late but if you're into rock you should try Korean rock bands like guckkasten. Korea's rock industry is very small since its not a popular genre but there are very talented singers and musicians in the small industry. Plus Korean rock suprisingly has a long history and i sometimes find old korean rock songs better than the present ones.
Apparently the reason they dont have many as of now is because there was this one band and one of the members flashed everyone at a concert so koreans despise the genre because of him
@@Dicezai what does "flashed everyone" means btw?
@@jrmy__ it can either mean they 'mooned' them aka showing your butt or they all got a dick in their face
@@jrmy__ they showed their d to the audience

Wow!! First time seeing Korean metal and I am loving it!! XD
Well the genre is not "Korean" and it is not "metal" ... is "post hardcore" and exists in every country of the world... but people only expect dance-pop music from Korea. hahaha
+Roy Sevilla post hardcore ? lel some hardcore metal are way deep then that !
They killed it so hard !!!!!!
+NStarlight the music form and structure composition on the song is of post-hardcore. Genres are not what you listen but what they music is composed of....
Roy Sevilla Ah.. I mean.. This song doesn't sound post-hardcore, for me this song is like Suicide Silence.. What is the different between post-hardcore and hardcore ?
+NStarlight it depends of the fusion genre you are use it with, it can be dance hardcore, electro hardcore, rock hardcore, jazzcore, metalcore, etcetera... the "hardcore" per se is for a kind of aggressive and anger sound, normally expressed by the vocals and the main bass's punch and hard drumming.
If these guys were Japanese, making music in Japan, they would be superstars.
Crystal Lonnen Well I don’t think they have to be Japanese but if they were making music in Japan they’d be a big hit
nah.. that's exactly what I wouldn't say even if they were Japanese..
Ive heard that market demanding metal is way more bigger than korea.
Agree
@@wowersdh1 u mean in japan right
I've just typed 'K Metal' because I wanted to know if this kind of thing could exist. You can't imagine how surprised but hyped I was :D
Same here 😁, I thought korean is non metal country, glad I'm wrong
you know what
Surprisingly we have black metal bands and death metal bands but it is not many
Jrock and K rock actually paced at same speed till 90s and even some time later you could see the similar improvements, but Japan got to see more on that side. I think metal was banned or something in Korea, but anyway Korea had like shit ton of bands and kpop basically started with rock-pop bands.
I just realized I'm replying to an 2 year old comment.

Wait what?! Korea's still got a rock scene?!!?!?! I thought Seo Taiji's nu-metal phase was all they had for that short period of time in the early 2000's XD
err there are plenty of Korean rock bands (different sub-genres of it), you just have to look them up
Tsunade1stSannin if it's not too much trouble can you suggest some Korean rock bands to begin with? After finding this song I am feeling interested to explore the Korean rock scene further😄.
fragile hope ftisland
Actually Korean rock scene have been suffering on the bottom from 70's, the dictatorial military government era. Rock music especially kind of extreme metal was denounce that it's a symbol of satanism and anti-socialism in my childhood. There are not enough consumer layer in Korean market to support band culture except the idol bands which sing just love songs composed by others. Some producers of TV shows were interested the indie rock bands and tried to introduce them to the public consumer, but this chance was gone and have not been come for a long time because some stupid punk douchebags showed their dingdongs on live. Many Korean indie bands are still trying to make their own music nowadays, so please give attentions and cheers for K-rock, not only K-pop.
옥동스타일 ah I see. I love K-Pop and all, but I would love to explore more of the rock scene. This one song is the only one I like by Bursters, and everything else I've found is good too like Drug Restaurant, but I just haven't found something that hits me as hard as Seo Taiji's nu-metal phase.

still good, glad bands like these are getting more recognition slowly but surely, japanese rock and korean rock are great, I encourage people to look at every language of music plus different genres within them. You can find gems

There's way more genres you guys are too lazy to look for. It may not be mainstream but Korea has some pretty good music.
Jenny Zhang I know that there are many brilliant artists in Korea but most people seems not tobe interested in them
Damn this is so good. IMO it's up to par with UK's hardcore scene. They're the ones really owning this sound right now, and I'm glad South Korea's glamming on to it doing it their way too! That damn breakdown and outro goddamn!
Loonatic!!
I’m not trying to start anything I just genuinely would like to know what bands from the UK you are talking about. I’ve been in the Boston hardcore scene since 99’ and the only bands I’ve seen really make an impact in the hardcore community and are not from the US are from Japan, S. America, and Germany. The only heavy UK bands I’ve seen really make an impact in the scene have been Gallows and Cancer Bats. But I also would not consider bursters Hardcore. Don’t get me wrong I’m totally into them but if you want Korean hardcore you should be checking out PIA (shoegaze heavy smashing pumpkins style from the 90s) and The Geeks (Korea’s first hardcore band and first introduction into youth crew and straight edge. They tour stateside more than Asian I think and have been making waves over here since the early 2000’s)
they really reminded me of an old style of bring me the horizon which is hella great
@@lucylumi you can try ftisland united shadows ,its like alternate rock more than hard rock .

As a kpop fan and a fan of this type of music, I have searched for a Korean band like this for so long now. K-metal is like almost non existent along with k-rock. There’re k-rock bands that I listen to sometimes, but their music is softer than what I’m used to in terms of rock. Not saying it’s bad at all, I’ve been listening to Western rock music since I was 12 so I’m used to it being quite loud.

WTF finally a legit korean rock band. Korea revolves around so much Pop that it's so hard to find rock music like this lo. Probably because there wasnt any until now XD
There aren't many good screamo/heavy in korea these guys are exceptional but if you don't know much about Korean rock try guckkasten thorn apple YB or crying nut
KillerDCInstinct Most country's music revolves around pop but that's what makes Koreans so sick of it. Most Koreans prefer indie or hip hop, just look around man.
sorry guys but when you look into musical history of Korea you'll see that in '80s only metal and rock bands were rulling the scene. kpop was born mostly on the ground of krock and visual kei from Japan. only later kpop became popular and rulls Korean ground until now, but still rock and metal are somehow growing again :) from bands I'll recommend: N.E.X.T., Crash, Yellow Monsters, Diablo, Galaxy Express, Seo Taiji first era, RUX, Crying Nut, Cherry Filter, Yoon Do Hyun, Kim Kyung-ho..

If you wanted to recommend us other groups we wanted to listen to them too if u said it in a friendly way
Jeon Wonwoop woop Nope, you idiotic Koreaboos need a wake up call.
Sung Joon - 성준 It's getting a trend, a lot of people start talking abt kpop bc of Bts etc. Not a lot of people start talking about korean metal bands. kpop is kinda like the beginning to those koreaboos. I even know a lot of people who say they find korean metal better than kpop.. I started to like kpop a year ago just bc of my neighbor who listened to those 'chinese guys in sparkling costumes' and I'm happy I discovered it, you should be happy that those kboos like korean metal/rock too instead of only pop songs. And yes, I think kpop fans should think more out of the box and go listening to those bands you said etc. but not everyone is a metalfan
Jeon Wonwoop woop This isn't metal though, anyone that likes rock would easily notice that. This is generic, non-innovative and overall... Pretty bland. X JAPAN and Dir En Grey are two bands that literally invented the metal scene in Asia and are praised by many westerns as metal legends. As an Asian, its offensive that westerns are seeing and flocking to this stuff first because honestly, it's insulting. I'd rather people see good Asian bands rather than this shit which will just give the stereotype that Asian music is generic and poppy more truth.

While listening to this I whipped my hair back and forth, played on invisible drums, played an invisible electric guitar and had a rock sign up to an invisible crowd. I guess its safe to say this has successfully managed to unleash my inner emo 13 years old teenage self that was long gone forgotten.
I'm pretty happy to be a curious person XD
If I wasn't ...
Aaah ... I've never been able to discover that ( seriously it's amazing \o/)
I have never heard of korean heavymetal... looks like I found my new music taste
Why not more popular?
:’(
Because this --> K-pop
@@Randolph287 lmao, i agree kpop is literally overshadowing every other genres in korea that r much better
Because people like more kpop than rock band
I think it's also, because k-pop has sometimes also rock-vibes and elements from other genres
Omg i didn't know groups like this exist in kpop we need more korean bands like this !!!
I get goosebumps every time I hear this song.
Its odd for me to hear this music on a channel like 1thek, at least people will get more exposed to the other genres of Korean music this way besides just kpop ~ ^^
This music video is from over 9 years ago… 🥲 barely anything on Spotify, not even verified there and struggling to tell if they’re still active.
I stan a k-band group called Xdinary Heroes. As a rock and metal fan, I appreciate the music they make and experiment with, especially as a group under a major entertainment company (JYP). I was hoping to try to find some other bands that are similar to them but I’m struggling 🫠
I like this song tho ^^
unfortunately.... this band is not active anymore.
NO PUEDO CREER QUE HAYA ENCONTRADO UNA BANDA ASÍ, LLEGUÉ TRES AÑOS TARDE :(
Espero que no se hayan disuelto.
Others great bands!
