The song of Bustered titled “Lost Child” seems soft when you only see its title, but shows strong charms of new metal style combining the unique original sounds and good characteristics of Bustered by starting the song with powerful shouts. The song has some senses that would appeal to fans of Pantera or the Korean band, Pia, but also shows the right hand playing style (tapping with both hands) which was popular in 80's and 90's for the guitar playin in the middle of the song at the same time so that the song is transcending the era. Escaping from the reality under the pressure and full of contradictios, the song is sending a message to leave to the free world with you.

Im a bit too late but if you're into rock you should try Korean rock bands like guckkasten. Korea's rock industry is very small since its not a popular genre but there are very talented singers and musicians in the small industry. Plus Korean rock suprisingly has a long history and i sometimes find old korean rock songs better than the present ones.

Apparently the reason they dont have many as of now is because there was this one band and one of the members flashed everyone at a concert so koreans despise the genre because of him

+NStarlight it depends of the fusion genre you are use it with, it can be dance hardcore, electro hardcore, rock hardcore, jazzcore, metalcore, etcetera... the "hardcore" per se is for a kind of aggressive and anger sound, normally expressed by the vocals and the main bass's punch and hard drumming.

Actually Korean rock scene have been suffering on the bottom from 70's, the dictatorial military government era. Rock music especially kind of extreme metal was denounce that it's a symbol of satanism and anti-socialism in my childhood. There are not enough consumer layer in Korean market to support band culture except the idol bands which sing just love songs composed by others. Some producers of TV shows were interested the indie rock bands and tried to introduce them to the public consumer, but this chance was gone and have not been come for a long time because some stupid punk douchebags showed their dingdongs on live. Many Korean indie bands are still trying to make their own music nowadays, so please give attentions and cheers for K-rock, not only K-pop.

I’m not trying to start anything I just genuinely would like to know what bands from the UK you are talking about. I’ve been in the Boston hardcore scene since 99’ and the only bands I’ve seen really make an impact in the hardcore community and are not from the US are from Japan, S. America, and Germany. The only heavy UK bands I’ve seen really make an impact in the scene have been Gallows and Cancer Bats. But I also would not consider bursters Hardcore. Don’t get me wrong I’m totally into them but if you want Korean hardcore you should be checking out PIA (shoegaze heavy smashing pumpkins style from the 90s) and The Geeks (Korea’s first hardcore band and first introduction into youth crew and straight edge. They tour stateside more than Asian I think and have been making waves over here since the early 2000’s)

As a kpop fan and a fan of this type of music, I have searched for a Korean band like this for so long now. K-metal is like almost non existent along with k-rock. There’re k-rock bands that I listen to sometimes, but their music is softer than what I’m used to in terms of rock. Not saying it’s bad at all, I’ve been listening to Western rock music since I was 12 so I’m used to it being quite loud.

sorry guys but when you look into musical history of Korea you'll see that in '80s only metal and rock bands were rulling the scene. kpop was born mostly on the ground of krock and visual kei from Japan. only later kpop became popular and rulls Korean ground until now, but still rock and metal are somehow growing again :) from bands I'll recommend: N.E.X.T., Crash, Yellow Monsters, Diablo, Galaxy Express, Seo Taiji first era, RUX, Crying Nut, Cherry Filter, Yoon Do Hyun, Kim Kyung-ho..

Sung Joon - 성준 It's getting a trend, a lot of people start talking abt kpop bc of Bts etc. Not a lot of people start talking about korean metal bands. kpop is kinda like the beginning to those koreaboos. I even know a lot of people who say they find korean metal better than kpop.. I started to like kpop a year ago just bc of my neighbor who listened to those 'chinese guys in sparkling costumes' and I'm happy I discovered it, you should be happy that those kboos like korean metal/rock too instead of only pop songs. And yes, I think kpop fans should think more out of the box and go listening to those bands you said etc. but not everyone is a metalfan

    • @-sungjoon6649

Jeon Wonwoop woop This isn't metal though, anyone that likes rock would easily notice that. This is generic, non-innovative and overall... Pretty bland. X JAPAN and Dir En Grey are two bands that literally invented the metal scene in Asia and are praised by many westerns as metal legends. As an Asian, its offensive that westerns are seeing and flocking to this stuff first because honestly, it's insulting. I'd rather people see good Asian bands rather than this shit which will just give the stereotype that Asian music is generic and poppy more truth.

Finally a great quality real metal band from Korea. I really love this song it is absolutely amazing. I can feel the japanese influence in their style, which i like. Unfortunately judging from the views, koreans have no taste and appreciation for this music style, which is sad. Anyway fighting guys, your music ROCKS!!!

While listening to this I whipped my hair back and forth, played on invisible drums, played an invisible electric guitar and had a rock sign up to an invisible crowd. I guess its safe to say this has successfully managed to unleash my inner emo 13 years old teenage self that was long gone forgotten.

This music video is from over 9 years ago… 🥲 barely anything on Spotify, not even verified there and struggling to tell if they’re still active.
I stan a k-band group called Xdinary Heroes. As a rock and metal fan, I appreciate the music they make and experiment with, especially as a group under a major entertainment company (JYP). I was hoping to try to find some other bands that are similar to them but I’m struggling 🫠
I like this song tho ^^
