    I think alot of the pickups from that era had the 3 on tree transmission. 4 on the floor in the bigger trucks.

    I still have the manual for my Grandpa's 1951 3100... there was no chrome except for the hubcaps, because of the Korean war!

    I was on Google street view in the hills of Hollywood when I saw a straight but original 54 Chevy truck, I out of curiosity moved the date the picture was taken and the range was 2009 to 2017 and to my amazement the truck is in every time nearly the same spot over a 7-8 yr span, the truck is parked by a gate of a very nice home, I just wondered if its original of has a LS 2 or something newer with AC etc or a bone stocker?

    I have a question I just bought a 51 too n i been looking why does the passenger door has the lock key and the driver side doesn’t ???

    • @richdeanwestcoastcollectorcars
      @richdeanwestcoastcollectorcars  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Isaac, as I understand it, you would let your passenger out, lock the truck. then, upon arrival back to the truck, you unlock the passenger side to let your passenger in, and ideally they would unlock the driver's side from the inside for you. Thank you for your question. Rich.

      I've notice If you watch the old 50's show like Andy Griffith show or leave it to beaver the driver always got in on the passenger side and would slide across to driver side.

      Might be a good asking price, perhaps a little high. These particular trucks have become more and more popular.

    • @littlebuddytoo
      @littlebuddytoo 4 года назад

      @@mattberg916 I have a '48 like this unrestored, Dad bought it new. White walls were for high-end cars or pimped out common cars. Look around the internet for vintage photos, you will not find these trucks sporting those tires back in the day.
