It's crazy.
Just a few years ago I was on the lowest point of my life. Listened to bootleg nearly the whole time I was awake, felt the music hitting right into my heart. Overwhelming.
Now.. a couple years later.. I'm no longer in that deep dark hole, I am better. But the Feelings are completely gone. No sadness, no anger, hate, love or whatever else - yet these type of mixes - the ones similar to the ones I've heard on long night drives - they open up my heart just a tiny bit to let some light in... Life is better, but sometimes I do miss the emotions.. or feeling free again.
Be more attentive of what is happening, really try and concentrate on what you are doing, what you are feeling, what you are seeing. Taste the coffee, taste the cig, and pay attention to reality. only then will you feel something again

That's what happened to me too. Life is stable now, but it lacks all the feelings.
I actually decided to challenge myself about this problem and bought a skateboard. Skated today a few hours and tried to learn ollie. Felt emotionally much better after. Maybe I just try to learn new things now on and lets see if it brings something back.

It's been 5 years since I finished high school and now I'm almost done with college. Despite this, I still haven't learned to deal with the pain of goodbyes and this ends up limiting me in how much I engage with people. I always end up holding myself back, after all, creating friendships involves time, dedication and money, and losing that to the normal cycle of life discourages me from trying again.
It's not like I won't see the person anymore, but it will never be the same, because even if you insist on maintaining the friendship, you lose it by no longer sharing the same environment, time and goals as people.
Sometimes I want to go and meet old friends and say all this, how I miss those times, their company and that I want to get that back. I know the response will be warm, but it will only serve to vent me. The past cannot be resumed and that person no longer exists and conforming to that is what I should have already done, but I have relapses
This way, life follows the cycle of meeting and losing people, of course this is good on the one hand, however it ends up being monotonous having to always make new friends, which are often so superficial. And a friendship lasting 5-10 years is totally different from one lasting a few months.
At least I learned to appreciate every moment, whether bad or good, because in the end you remember the good things and the bad things remind you that life is full of things we don't like and dealing with them is a necessary evil.
Even so, I'm sadly resigned to these walks that always lead to loneliness, so I begin to understand why people get married.
When you cross the 3am mark:
"should I go to sleep? Nah, I just have 3 hours of sleep left anyway"
