  • When we start woodworking, we dream of our own special worktable.
What the average person uses a lot is just a normal worktable.
I have created my own very special worktable.
It's a kind of automatic table, and it's equipped with a total of four vices using a pneumatic cylinder.
Three vices are moving vertically from the top of the table. It's a new form.
The side vice is a large thing, which can hold very huge boards.
These vices have a special technology, which means they use the cylinder rod itself as a wire. This is a very good idea that you can use it elsewhere.
It is also equipped with three electric lines and three air lines so that almost all work can be done at the table.
The size of the table is also large, 2,000mm x 1,000mm.
You can see various examples of applications.
    I hope you enjoy watching.
    Thank you.

Good job and a nice work table.
But something really triggered me because I classify it as a high risk...
It's a good and practical idea with the power sockets on the workbench, but the plug-in system you're using is pretty dangerous.
I'm assuming this is mains voltage (high AC voltag) and not low DC voltage....?
You have installed the male part of the plug connection on the workbench, which you should never do because you can touch the pins that carry the mains voltage and that could end fatally.
You must always use the female part on the live side of the connector because it is usually protected against contact.
I definitely wouldn't leave it like that.
BTW, what functions do the switches at the bottom of the workbench have (besides the power and compressed air connections)?

    • @Kynosys_
      @Kynosys_  5 месяцев назад +2

I am deeply grateful to you for your keen comments, as they prove that you watched my video carefully.
      I also had concerns.
This terminal called the aviation jack has a strange characteristic. The distinction between male and female differs depending on perspective.
I classified it by the overall shape, and you classified it by the shape of the pin.
Of course, there is a possibility that the pins of the connector I installed on the bottom of the table can be touched. So I usually close the lid with the string attached. The probability of me touching this pin is similar to the probability of you inserting tweezers into the female hole according to your identification method. One reason is the convenience of the installation method. The male connector according to my classification method is not easy to mount on the table. The nut that is connected by turning also has this natural shape. Anyway, to ease your worries, I will use it with utmost care.
Another switch at the bottom of the table is, This is an extra switch. If you look closely, you can see that it is synchronized by color with the basic switch.

Hi and many thank for your explanations.
I stand by my opinion about the connectors ;)
I understand your argument, but I don't think it is justified, since these aviation connectors are also available as a reversed plug connection and it would only be correct and safe that way.
It may be that you are sure that you will never be able to get into it, but then I hope that this will also be the case for everyone else who might be in your workshop and I am thinking especially of small, curious children's fingers..... !! You should never rule out something like that!!
And your example with the tweezers is also quite flawed, because the standard for contact protection has been classified sensibly and is intended to avoid “simple” touching with the fingers and without using any aids (such as tweezers)!
Of course there will always be a way for someone to kill themselves, but you should follow the rules in order to avoid such an accident as much as possible.
As an example, here are the correct installation sockets ;)
      www.ebay.com/itm/275291100399
      www.cnlinko.com/Products/267
Regarding the additional switches under the table...., yes, I recognized that the right switch was connected to the large collet. That means you can also operate the collet on the lower switch?
And the two switches to the left of the power connection sockets are for the other (vertical) collets...?
I'm just surprised that there are a total of 4 collets but only 3 switches under the table...!? Thought that there might be other interesting functions hidden behind these additional switches ;)
Or what is the background for these additional switches? I somehow don't understand the purpose...
Looking back, do these additional switches make sense and are these sometimes used?

    • @Kynosys_
      @Kynosys_  5 месяцев назад +1

Posted to the most logical man I met in RUclips comments.
I 100% agree with you that, even when it comes to personal decisions, it is safer to follow general usage. The fact that you are even concerned about the safety of children shows that you are very considerate. I will seriously think again about whether to make changes.
Your keenness is also evident in your curiosity about the switch at the bottom. Of course, this switch also works, It was also made separately for safety reasons.
The reason the numbers on the top and bottom switches do not match is because it was designed so that the two cylinders at both ends can move together with a single lower switch. This is used to lift and lower long materials all at once. Thank you again.

It is best to find a store nearby that handles pneumatic cylinders. It is convenient to order them all at once from the store. Since various parts such as pneumatic cylinders, nipples, solenoids, and air tubes are used, it is not easy to purchase them from an online store.
For other small parts, I mainly use a Chinese online store called Ali Express.
