I love the idea of Maxwell just recounting Constant stories to fill time. There's a 50% it's about one of the other survivors, and a 100% he's being a showman about it.
This is some shakespeare's level tragedy. Two people who first hate each other find love in a tough situation but in the end still die due to that. I love this animation, it has become one of my favourites ❤
Great animation! I was quite surprised by the end, nowadays these animations are a lot more lighthearted than the older ones, but this one managed to remind me of the darker tone of the game. Happy valentine's day!
Damn, that was great! I assumed Klei would only make animated Don't Starve shorts that were character intros or update trailers. I didn't expected them to make a small story about Don't Starve creatures but I'm happy I saw it and I'm glad there are gonna be more shorts on the way

It would also be cool if there was mud in the swamps in dsts that merms and pigs will fight over, that would be an awesome mechanic to explain their rivalry! Also, nice violin at the end.
Had the same idea, but honestly a story about a pig and merm being star cross lovers, and eventually having Wurt could make sense if Wurt was orphaned because her parents died or something. Then Wurt gets adopted by a merm tribe and she grows up not knowing her true origins. This leading to her growing up hating pigs.
Oh that mud pit where the pigs were bathing could be a cool idea for a new area or perhaps a new hazard for endgame swamp/something a boss creates like big mud pools that slow you down during spring and winter but dry up in summer and autumn Also is it me or do those beefalo look very weird Oh and great job with the animation as always klei

Well that’s a very bitter sweet animation but it does reveal that there could one day be piece between pigs and merms but due to the fact that those two just most likely friggin died that means it probably won’t happen
What a nice animation, and i believe its one of the first to take a more mature approach to the don't starve universe, honestly wouldn’t mind seeing more of these serious themes taken into account given how dangerous the constant truly is compared to gameplay

It started because the pigs betrayed everyone in the gorge, which lead to their downfall, and the goat's (merms) downfall.

They just angy beefaloo's, they look like there bellow animation when they in heat just with a couple teeth added haha. (I had to check!)
those 2 found more in common in the end. if only it wasnt a spider nest they would have made their 2 tribes find common ground, or mud i guess.
