Sims Sijamba - Nasi Lemak Part

Sims came to Malaysia about 3 years ago as an international student from Zambia. At the time, prior to Ameen's Skateshop, I was trying to launch my brand called Lunchbox Skateboards and I was kind of on the look out for fresh talent, I had just came back to Malaysia (my first two years back) after 5 years of studying in the US. Somehow, I bumped into Sims, I believe it was at USJ 1 Skatepark. On first impression, I could see that Sims really loves skating ; passionate, very skillful, and his potential to improve and develop his craft was all there.
Somehow, I kind of saw myself in him, as I was once an international student and passionate young skateboarder in a foreign land myself.
I saw the opportunity to document something special with Sims; His' skating for the next 3 years. I knew we had other commitments apart from skating, but I knew that 3 years was adequate to show something of Sims, his skills, style and progression on a skateboard in Malaysia.
It was a pleasure, and I am happy to finally share this with everyone. Sims Sijamba - Nasi Lemak Part. 2021
