    You could definitely just raise the coat rail to match the double rail next to it, plus you’d have extra room at the bottom for more shoes. But Anna.. Stunning stunning stunning. So happy for you! I’m envious that I can’t do my wardrobes over again! 🤭

    Honestly Anna, this wardrobe resembles you so much, if I could picture you in a wardrobe, this is it, and I watched you since the beginning. I think this looks so much better than those fancy wardrobes, straight to the point, minimalist yet chic and stylish, just like you. So happy you got to achieve this for yourself. 🫶 much love....

      Watching your beautiful sunset moment, I suddenly wondered how much sun you get in there during the day. If it's significant, I would suggest taking measures to prevent fading. Blackout curtains or shades and/or garment bags would help to a great extent.

    I agree with the boxes at the top making you want to fill them but they’re great for protecting knitwear from moths and clothes generally from dust, especially with vacuum packing

      We have boxes at the top, but I only store things in them that I know I won't be accessing for a while, so mainly out of season stuff.

    I love this palette. Like you I didn’t get it first time around, but the colour story really spoke to me and I adore it. The satins and shimmer are just right the amount of shine and sparkle. In recent years as formulas have improved the shimmers and satins became almost too sparkly and glowy and emphasise texture on my 48 year old lids and these are just the perfect amount of shine without being flat matte. My favourite palette so far.

    Your new wardrobe looks fantastic! I can only dream of having a space like this. I think some woven, lidded storage boxes would look great, and a bench or settee in the middle of the room would be so useful too.

    What an amazing wardrobe! I once saw The Home Edit use those transparent slide-on dividers, which they used to put bags or shoes on a similar top shelf. I think that would look really good, and you could give your sweaters some more room on the left.

  • @hollyellap
    @hollyellap 2 месяца назад +9

    It looks great! Personally, I would probably move some of the bags up to the top shelf, and some decor items like a vase and a lamp, if you don’t need the extra space for more clothes. I think using the shelf will make the ceiling feel even taller - and I think it looks a little empty without anything on the shelf. I might also put in a bigger pendant light… even just a bigger paper lantern. It is so dreamy though already!

    I think boxes will fill in that space beautifully. You don't have to store cloths there, per se. If you get boxes with a lid, you can always store your extra pillows, blanket, and things like that, there :) Just as an idea. But all in all, I feel like the wardrobe will look complete if you can fill that space, and so that it doesn't look like there are random sticks going up to the ceiling :D

    I've had storage bins in the past and I either forgot what was in them, or was too lazy to pull them down. If you decide on bins I'd recommend getting a little step stool to make it easier to get them down, especially if they're heavy.

    Love some organisational content!! About the bins: I think the basic plastic see through ones might kinda ruin the view, because it would become too chaotic. But... I kept thinking how nice some natural material boxes from like straw/wicker/bamboo would look! Als maybe in the little corner between the two wardrobe walls, a round basket would look nice. To fill the whole there, and to hide the plug and just to add some texture. Or like a cozy floorlamp there for like early winter mornings?
    I think the rug and curtains are a really nice touch btw!

    While watching your beautiful sunset, I suddenly wondered if you get a lot of sun in there throughout the day. If so, you might want to add some sort of protection like blackout curtains or shades and garment bags to protect from fading and discoloration.

  • @carmengrauwels
    @carmengrauwels Месяц назад

    I had these IKEA wardrobe storage & after little over a year almost all my clothes had sun damage so I highly recommend a curtain rale bc believe me it was 💯 💔 seeing all those bleached stripes on my clothes
    Even though I had a good & darkening window blinds
    ✌🏻🍀
    Added later: Anna, I find that (for a content creator who does a lot of fashion ) this amount of clothing and accessory and shoes? Not overwhelming lot! And for being it s/s & a/w together! You have the pieces you need/want and you really wear them. Also the positive result is that now you can wear some items that (let's say a black silk summer dress) you normally take out now into autumn and maybe even winter with a thick knit and high boots, etc.... etc.....

    I have 2 rails in my wardrobe. One is for current season clothes (changed every 3 months) and the other rail is for workout and walking clothes. Current shoes live in a cupboard under the stairs and current handbags are in a dresser near the front door. Occasion shoes and handbags live in out of season storage cupboard. I love only seeing what I am using now. Leaving out of season clothes on your rail you will find they will be dusty when you come to use them, especially being near to an open window.

    It looks great Anna. 👏🏻👏🏻 😍 I personally would make the two side sections double hanging and move the long hanging items over to the main wall. Don’t worry too much about seasonal sections because it’s all in one room. I have half our large walk in wardrobe and the wardrobes in our two spare bedrooms for my clothes 😬 …and I live in Australia so I only have one long coat. 😆 Definitely some nice boxes with lids to prevent dust on top. If you want to go all out maybe consider shoe racks at the bottom or clear boxes for your shoes. 💗

    Love the ikea Elvarli system and have one myself for many years and holding up very well . I think if you take that small shelf off at the end the higher rail wouldn't be as noticeable then ? Also room for more shelves below your summer tops and even add a couple more shelves where your bags are . I have the ikea white TJENA boxes above my Elvarli system (i.e your top shelf) though made of cardboard are quite sturdy but look great to x

    Great wardrobe choice! Not just as a way to test how you use the space before going in with high-quality built-ins, but in general. I would actually love to hear a bit more about the flooring in the room. Apologies if this is something normal in the UK but where we live, we have tile flooring, and I always loved wood. For example, is the flooring in the wardrobe original to the house and if so, did it need restoring when moving in? Do you plan to keep it/change it, etc? As you can tell, I do love all the house updates😅 but as always, only share with us what you feel comfortable sharing. XxX
