    I've had three teachers. None adequately explained a good method to practice. It was simple practise hands separately. Greg you are a wonderful teacher.

    Just by watching your first 3 videos and the introduction video on practicing, I have made great progress in the quality of my practicing. I have started learning easier pieces and can play them much more beautifully and precisely in record time 🤩. Again, I learned something new in this video. Thank you so much for this great series!!! 🙏💖
    I am looking forward to Op 10 No 4 as I have tried to play that in the past. I'm sure I would approach it differently now than I have in the past because of your great explanations and your methods. 👍😊

    Thank you so much for this! I love your tutorials. I like to imagine that Chopin was actually as motivating as you are when teaching!
    Well, I only started with this Etude and managed to learn the first 4 bars so far. :D Getting to the lunatic middle section is still a distant dream (mostly self-taught here). But one can dream and this video will for sure be of great help! Thanks once again!

    Great. I really love the way you teach. I wish you were my teacher when I was young. But still couldn't afford to go to a piano lesson let alone buy a piano. But now I can afford to go to piano lesson but we have youtube, so it's great.

    Thank you for another great video . I am using your advice on the pieces I am currently practicing, including the Nocturne in E minor. It is helping me a lot. Your staccato technique and checking your finger placement before pressing the keys are both very useful.

    Thank you for this great tutorial, Greg. I had a question, in the tritone section, would it be incorrect to play it in groups of 2 instead of playing all legato? Asking since I feel my hands are quite small to try to connect all the tritones (especially right hand)

    so far i had no opportunity to perform this etudre But on the coming sunday i am going to perform thalberget etude op. 26 no 12 and henselt op 2 no 2. I thought it was more suitable for pentecost, e.g. occasion, the thalberg etude could symbolize the blowing wind of the holy spirit. In the broader context of poetic etudes it could be interesting.

    Look I just actually don’t know how to use the pedal I can play everything perfectly at 14! BUT I CANT USE THE PEDAL

    • @gregniemczuk
      @gregniemczuk  Год назад

      What's exactly the problem?
      First: you have to know how the pedal works, what is exactly happening inside the piano when you press it.
      And one general rule: always lift your leg when your fingers are going down. Finger down, feet up and down, finger down, feet up and down. Never do it simultaneously together on the same direction.

    To be honest if you need a teacher to explain all of this - this piece is too difficult for you 😂

    • @gregniemczuk
      @gregniemczuk  Год назад +1

      Do you think so? Maybe it depends on the age. I think you can learn a lot on this piece.

    • @codfather9926
      @codfather9926 Год назад

      I absolutely think so. If you’ve gone through Czerny, Hanon etc and all the necessary ground work, fingering and practice comes naturally. If you still need this level of guidance you’re NOT ready for this piece. Age irrelevant.

    • @gregniemczuk
      @gregniemczuk  Год назад

      @@codfather9926 it makes sense.
