It seemed like Reaves wanted to lay the hit regardless of what's happening with the play. He was dead set on laying out that puck carrier, I don't know if he and Nurse has any bad blood but that man was on a mission to put his lights out.
We can argue the hit on Knies back and forth all day long and both sides would be able to good arguments BUT what had me fuming was that the Leafs ended up being shorthanded at the end of it all and I feel you guys could've gone further with that topic even if you think it was a clean hit. Did the refs expect no push back or brawl because of it? If you appreciate "old time hockey" then the Leafs should've not been on the pk afterwards, i expected a different reaction from both of you and I'm disappointed
Who said that? The guy who's never progressed past house league or high school hockey or the guy who struggled to stay in the line up unless the team wanted a bruiser for that particular game? Let's be real, Robertson is better than anybody who's in the chats or doing the podcast. Treliving gave Demi $4M for essentially the same player as Robertson at this point in the season. I would argue Demi has had a lot more opportunity to get on the score board but has a fat zero.

I’m a Knies Fan and I wish the best on a quick recovery But my take on the hit was a good check , I watched it n over n over and I think it looked worse than it seems. Unfortunately Knies was taken out of the game unfortunately. Knies might want to learn that if ur going 100 mph down the ice n expect not to get hit n not get ur head knocked off given a chance your either still not experienced or think your invincible, either way Surfs Up you big Kahoona in this case Wipe out .
Berube and Tree have done a good improving all the unorthodox mistakes from the Keefe / Dubas. Players are moving with structure. Prospects are given time to find their NHL game. Bench minors are gone. Starting on time. Winning record at home. Ect.

I’ve given Robertson a huge benefit of a doubt but falls short every time he’s on the ice . He tries hard that I can appreciate. Robertson turns over pucks missing grade A chances, can’t hardly forecheck back check or kill penalties he’s to small for hockey to begin with, I know you got great players that are small but they provide other magic on ice n do something that can win u games , But Robertson provides nothing to the game. He’s literally non existent . Free this player Please , He might do something better n provide some sort of magic to another Organization, Maybe he might fit somewhere else but Leaf’s org. Can’t afford to keep him . Please free him of his misery.

Love my Leafs, but I'm more devastated about Ovechkin being out 4-6 weeks. I hope he comes back and picks up right where he left off.
