    Interesting. There is some NAV depreciation since inception but looking at the weekly distribution it looks good. I've just bought the dip in Amazon stock, aiming to expand my portfolio this year.

    I sold my QDTE and XDTE because the dividends were too inconsistent, I believe QDTE paid like .40 one week and dropped to .09 the next week. It looks like distributions got bigger again so I'll keep an eye on them because weekly payouts are perfect for everyone.

    • @Qpalzmcreehay
      @Qpalzmcreehay 3 месяца назад +10

      In the end how I see it, is that even though they pay every week.... It's best to gauge it every month. So what did you earn for the month would be better in knowing whether it's consistent or not. I personally wouldn't rely on these weekly. But monthly.

    • @RichardAkin-qj6xt
      @RichardAkin-qj6xt 3 месяца назад +3

      @Qpalzmcreehay I only had a few shares and wanted to get rid of something that was paying smaller dividends. I agree with gauging by the month that's a better way. Thanks for the reply

  • @DocFishNStocks
    @DocFishNStocks 3 месяца назад +3

    That was great! Adriano, can you do a video or if you've done one before (an updated video) of how the income generated from covered call ETF can continue for a long time? despite the nav potentially going down ( in certain ETFs) thus causing the fund mangers to call for a reverse split and decreasing potential dividend per share over time? I believe in retiring early and I do believe that this is a good vehicle to do it. However I feel like I am missing something of how the "money will run out".

      @investinggrind we had a bad month in the markets so we down on nav but the whole market was down but we did get some nice weekly income , so far xdte is holding up better and is close to matching qdte on distributions so I'd rather recommend that one for people more concerned with nav . I'll give them a year buying more on ex div day to average down and see how that goes with total return

    Very helpful interview. I plan to start an initial position in XDTE for monitoring and learning purposes. Since inception, there is a slight NAV erosion while the S&P 500 has had a slight NAV increase. On a total return basis it's positive but ~50 basis points lower than the S&P500. 100% of returns are ROC, so tax efficient. All in all, worth evaluating further in my view.

    It will be interesting to see if the lower overall distribution allows for lower Nav reduction. I would say the initial nav reduction is from the downward movement of the underlying. I will own both QQQY and QDTE and compare their performance this year. So far so am enjoying the weekly deposit into my account.

      I think that spooked a lot of people.
      But i would rather have lower
      Maybe 10 to 15 cents
      Then 25 cents but most of it ROC and share price goes lower

    It would be good to do an update video and ask Dave about Roundhill’s filings for the Russell 2000 covered call etf and the managed distribution ETFs. It would be good to ask about the four income ETFs as well that they filed for but I believe withdrew from. The short strangle ones on the Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 sounded pretty good, so it would be good to know why they withdrew from them or if they still plan to do them. Also, a gold covered call etf would be very attractive I think as well since gold has a great track record so far, and I would like to know if they plan to do a gold covered call etf and why or why not.

    I understand the performance can not be guaranteed but I would like to if it’s ratio with qqq or spy can be guaranteed. Since may qqq has increased about 17 percent but Qdte has increased by 10 percent. The payout has reduced the gap but not to a significant. I can do better by buying qqq spend about 2% a month out of it.
