I've been playing for 5 years and I felt like they weren't listening to us, just adding bugs and a bunch of skin to spend money on. But this, this is everything I've wanted to hear. I might actually start spending money on skins if they keep their word on these promises. Really fantastic to hear.

i started in january, as someone who doesn't really play shooters, and my experience so far with the game and devs has been excellent. genuinely so excited to see where they're going with hunt.
Engine upgrades are always interesting when it comes to games that are already released because you have no “early access” to fall back on when theres a lot of bugs, but that being said, they have been done well in the past, and I hope the devs get it right
I've not been around for long, roughly a year, but the hype I'm feeling never went down. Yet this week of annoucements made it go boom. All the best to the devs and to Fifield, and thanks for your content !
I'm so stoked to see this. I just got the game and got a legendary hunter as well and was afraid I'd have like a year of game time with the game. This makes me feel way more chilled and excited.
I finally realized why Mr. Fifield looked and sounded familiar. He worked heavily on Mechwarrior 4 back in the day and I probably watched interviews with him at some point. It makes me feel a lot better about Hunt's future along with this roadmap.
Honestly I'm just glad they are changing them at all. They do no have to by any means and no one expected them too but they reiterated that they will in this last dev roadmap so hopefully sometime this year
Money, changing traits and health bars was very usefull during Devils Moon. You could get 4 small bars and necro from the start. I doubt many people used it, but its just passive income for Crytek.

I watched this Roadmap video (and stream) before your video (also commenting before watching), I was so excited about tutorial finally being added along with roaming boss ("wild boss" or however they called it). I wonder what your thoughts are about those 2 being added? I hope the tutorial will bring more new people to hunt, as first 10h+ I've played I was so overwhelmed by this game I almost quited (and I think a lot of people had the same feeling, including one of my friends who straight up refunded the game after 1.5h), but now that I learned and understand it better, it became my favorite FPS. Also wasn't the roaming boss a'la Gator an idea you discussed about a year ago, or so in one of the "@Home" video?
To hear the General Manager of Hunt say that custom lobbies is near and dear to his heart made me so happy. Finally it's looking like sometime next year my large gaming group can play all together. I have been wanting this for a long long time. Also excited for the engine upgrade. It's going to make the game look even more amazing.
I'm pumped for the wildcard conditions. Night maps are fun when you plan for them but for me if I pick a scope I just know rng is going to put me in night/fog. I just hope they find a way to keep people from using filters to cheat at night.
I also got some REALLY good vibes from watching the full length update video. I just hope the game stays in good hands for some time to come, it's such a beautiful game.
I am so absolutely looking forward to this year. Not only are there a bunch of other good games coming but also just the stuff coming to hunt is glorious. So looking forward to the quest lines
Thanks for the content. It's been rough on console for a while, so looking forward to the engine migration. Might decide on playing this on PC soon. I don't think I can wait a year!!!
For new hunter/weapon bundles, I really hope they go into making it so that all custom skins can be used in one loadout, so you can run a hunter with their bundle weapons all at once for a full thematic loadout
I've been pitching a roaming mini boss in a moving stagecoach/wagon to my play group since I started playing a year ago. SUPER stoked that this is being explored!
I am really hyped up for the wild targets. Custom lobbys would be nice too… I am pretty excited how the wild targets will work/what exactly you will get from them (DS Boost, etc.)
I got this game because I was addicted to the “dark and darker” beta test but was so board when it went away. Then I seen this game on sale and got it. It’s such a fun game but wish my friends played it.I play solo duos.
It will be nice to have host with people in the same region ip address if you are in US then you're connected to us people or hosting not someone in a different country playing on you're region hosting it is always a lagging issue and frustrating after a couple games of that I pose interest and shut down the game. It's crazy when hunt came out there wasn't that much issue with that. The sad part is there is alot of people talking crap and taking to far. I'm not going to give up on hunt been there since the beginning hopefully they keep working on it. Thanks for the update (HR) I enjoy You're videos.
What I realy would love to see is trains, that are running. I mean it would realy fit in the west with its wild train shootouts. Just Imagine for a moment, the train rolls into the station, then you either sneak onto it, finding out other hunters are on and then the shooting starts about who is going to be in time by the boss and who has to run. Or the other way, the trains rolls in and there breaks out a huge fight over every wagon because it carries loot or money or weapons with which you can kill some roaming bosses or anything like that. Of course I can imagine many problems about creating real moving trains, but the dynamic and possebilities it would open up just seem so much fun to me right now.
Its refreshing to see some info about the future of the game and I see a positive trend of rising importance having great community managers in industry as a whole. I hope new additions would be only beneficial to the feel and dynamic of the game, and it is not baseless hope - Hunt dev team delivers that so far. Just wish there weren't so much technical debt from the early days of development (at least, it feels like it). We could avoid all the unpleasant situations with bugs a lot faster and make gameplay additions more firmly.
overall it looks like crytek realy cares about this game, which is great to see. The new map in a different biome sounds great, as well as roaming targets (skinwalkers pls). I wonder what great things will they do with the new engine
A snowmap would be really interesting, it could have snowstorms which limit the vision outside and mask sound. Another thing I would like is progressive time of day, and stuff like rain or fog rolling in midgame. And honestly... gun range should have been on this game since launch. So yeah, better 5 years late then never but man they must allocate like 90% of the dev time to Crysis 4
sounds all great and Im really happy what direction hunt is hitting now. but most of the things are way overdue. its not like the community didnt give feedback the past 5 years. but it needs someone with industry experience I guess to give them the same feedback we gave the devs all the years back. better server, better ui, more variety, shooting range, bugs & glitches. it took them 5 years.. lets see and hope hunt showdown will gain in popularity with better content and better technical backend
This interview was pretty full of amazing stuff. Nice to hear that killtrading is taken seriously. And looking at dev interviews and streams for 5 years, Dennis is the true GOAT. if i were a big studio, i would try to steal Dennis to Crytek😉
I wish they found the middle ground of not all hunters having a dark palette and looking all the same in a sort of way, but I also do not want them to add a shiny fortnite character, the middle ground is just fine.
Took a long break from this game but returning now. Glad they are finally going to be addressing some of these big ticket issues like latency and optimization. For me if those two were minimized, the game would be unstoppable. It'll be nice to not be drip fed new content over a year, everyone loves transparency
Now I'm interested in the topic of the new matchmaking. Especially, I am interested in the criterias that are considered when composing the MMR rate. From what I see, it should include (and not sure if it does) the headshot % out the overall kills number. Because playing on match MMR 4 and match MMR 5 is like playing different games. Match MMR 4 feels fair, you miss your shots, enemies are missing their shots, you are tagging each other, bandaging, you have time to change your position, land a precise headshot, etc. Match MMR 5 is painful to play, because no matter what are you playing with, how are you playing, you are dying from a headshot from a very first bullet shot at you (and it is at least third of these shots you don't believe are possible). And yes, *a replay system is REQUIRED for this game* .
Haven't played hunt in a while, mainly for a stupid reason. I used to play it a lot with my ex-girlfriend and after the breakup, I've been hesitant about returning. But looking back at the wonderful community and these new changes that are coming, im slowly getting back into the hunt. I've experienced nothing but positivity from this game and it's community and it's something im really grateful for
Its good they're finally moving forward.. the game was content starved (aside from great reworks and events). I hope Crytek is going to shine in the coming year!
Soooo excited about the shooting range and 1v1. Finally I can test all the guns because I still hopelessly suck with shotguns and throwing knives at not point blank range
Really hoping we get a British Redcoat that isn't "coolified" with sunglasses or something. Just, some nice "normal" looking Tier-3 adjacent legendaries would be lovely. Beast Hunter is still one of the absolute best hunters to date.

i started in january, as someone who doesn't really play shooters, and my experience so far with the game and devs has been excellent. genuinely so excited to see where they're going with hunt.
The Hunt Showdown just truly awesome.
More maps, more guns, more legendarys, can’t wait.
Engine upgrades are always interesting when it comes to games that are already released because you have no “early access” to fall back on when theres a lot of bugs, but that being said, they have been done well in the past, and I hope the devs get it right
So happy with a clear direction and clear communication coming from Fifield
I just got into this game and I love seeing that the developers are actually trying to make the game better for everyone
The future looks bright. So excited that I played this sleeper when it first hit and now it’s the only MP FPS that keeps my attention.
I'm hyped for all the upcoming content. But especially the (probably) gator boss.
Man the roadmap looks good. Very excited to see how it turns out
Most hyped for the engine update!
I finally realized why Mr. Fifield looked and sounded familiar. He worked heavily on Mechwarrior 4 back in the day and I probably watched interviews with him at some point. It makes me feel a lot better about Hunt's future along with this roadmap.
Shooting range hype is UNreal!
engine upgrade is huuuuuuge :D hyped!
The Roadmap looks Great, Time to call my friends to try Hunt.
I'm very very excited. Hunt has been the go to game for my friend group
My question is why is changing some things away from using blood bonds taking so long?
Honestly I'm just glad they are changing them at all. They do no have to by any means and no one expected them too but they reiterated that they will in this last dev roadmap so hopefully sometime this year
Clearly was some internal discussions
Money, changing traits and health bars was very usefull during Devils Moon. You could get 4 small bars and necro from the start. I doubt many people used it, but its just passive income for Crytek.
It takes time to make PowerPoint to present to David !
@silberloewe _1 I that was the case why are they changing it at all, especially now that necro is in the game?
Thanks Home! May your aim in game be as steady and true as your takes on game topics.
You were randomly chosen for the Steam code giveaway. If you haven't, please join my Discord using the link in the description of this video and send me a DM or message. Thanks! No, this is not a bot lol
@@HomeReel The last sentence read my mind. ha ha ha Thanks so much! I've been buying the game for friends to get them into the game. This helps immensely.
I'll log into Discord tonight and send you a DM!
good things come to those with patience, i can’t wait for the next gen upgrade but that’s just a little phrase to say i’m patiently excited for this all to come to fruition.
Been playing since alpha testing. I love hunt!
I love what they're doing with the solo stuff, especially since I'm a 3 star and there aren't any lower mmr lobbies for the solo modifier to help
This may be a little off-topic comet but David's epic beard deserves a hunter skin
I'm pumped for the wildcard conditions. Night maps are fun when you plan for them but for me if I pick a scope I just know rng is going to put me in night/fog.
I just hope they find a way to keep people from using filters to cheat at night.
Rust, although imho a shit game, handles night time really well and stops gamma abusers.
Also, hunt should make reshade a bannable offense
I can't wait to see the new boss and possibly more npc enemies. I feel something to shake up the formula from time to time in hunts would be great
I also got some REALLY good vibes from watching the full length update video. I just hope the game stays in good hands for some time to come, it's such a beautiful game.
I am so absolutely looking forward to this year. Not only are there a bunch of other good games coming but also just the stuff coming to hunt is glorious. So looking forward to the quest lines
The potential here is outstanding
Thanks for the content. It's been rough on console for a while, so looking forward to the engine migration. Might decide on playing this on PC soon. I don't think I can wait a year!!!
Stoked for Hunt! This game deserves success.
For new hunter/weapon bundles, I really hope they go into making it so that all custom skins can be used in one loadout, so you can run a hunter with their bundle weapons all at once for a full thematic loadout
Absolutely stoked to hear they're upgrading the engine as that means my favourite game of the last 5 years is going to keep growing!
Mr HomeReel, love your content and your voice is so soothing.
Awesome roadmap!
That engine upgrade sounds exciting
overall it looks like crytek realy cares about this game, which is great to see. The new map in a different biome sounds great, as well as roaming targets (skinwalkers pls). I wonder what great things will they do with the new engine
private lobby to test guns with firends would be so cool to test out guns !
like compact fmj for exemple !
And yes, *a replay system is REQUIRED for this game* .
looking forward to the engine upgrade and a new map, fresh/new graphics could be awesome.
as long as we keep the core idea and mechanics im happy
Haven't played hunt in a while, mainly for a stupid reason. I used to play it a lot with my ex-girlfriend and after the breakup, I've been hesitant about returning. But looking back at the wonderful community and these new changes that are coming, im slowly getting back into the hunt. I've experienced nothing but positivity from this game and it's community and it's something im really grateful for
Awww man I feel this literally in the same boat
Its good they're finally moving forward.. the game was content starved (aside from great reworks and events). I hope Crytek is going to shine in the coming year!
I think it would be cool if they added weather cycles like rain or maybe wind witch can have effect on weapon sway and audio
The feature im most hyped for are the new Questlines, and the future tech they will be able to use to upgrade everything.
