Ma’am would you please explain why the single most reliable sign of compromise foetus is decreased beat to beat variability and not late deceleration or variable deceleration ,deceleration occurs in pathological condition only but decreased beat to beat variability can also occur in physiological conditions?

I think it is because beat to beat variability absence is due to very alarming conditions such as TTTS, ICH and RH incompatibility.
