I am new to asbestos and really did enjoy this video. Thank you for making such a well done and informative video to help all of us newbies with a more visual awareness training tool. God bless you guys. Thank you. :)
I was just about to say that lol ...says in the video dont wear clothes under the tyvek but clearly see that they have clothes on...peraonally i go in swim shorts or boxers
Be careful training your guys with respirators on without them being medically evaluated. If a guy passes out, you will be held liable. Without medical clearance, they should be trained without the filters. A lot of these guys were wearing the repirators incorrectly.
Hey. Double the floors first so your seams are facing down from the wall. Water won't go under it. poly walls with inside corners separately. don't use a big piece. the neg air is going to make it balloon in. (staples or not). Put a ceiling in instead of patching between the floor joists above you. easier to wipe down, as wood is porous and can hold a fiber.
I went to menards on July 14 2018 and bought beautiful vinyl tile from designers image brand and when I came back home and was getting ready to install. I read the instructions in the back and it says that this product may contain asbestos or silica. Now I’m trying to do some search on this vinyl tile and I can’t find nothing I’m honestly getting ready to return it back to the store.
How long should the negative pressure fan be working at home? Do they have to be 24/7? the problem is I cant sleep with that noise and they said the project will last at least two weeks. I live in 1630sqft condo. Thanks
I noticed almost all of these comments are complete minutia. The only real problem I see here is that your air scrubber (informally known as a negative air machine) should be opposite from your decon so that you pull air through your workspace, pulling the contaminants to your filtration. Putting it next to the decon doesn’t help a whole hell of a lot, unless it has a zipper on it and you have a vent hole somewhere else
No, they did it right.. instead of them putting the negative air unit inside the work area they cut a square into the plastic. As long as the tubes are connected and put out the window , there’s no violation here
When performing knife work, always wear type five cut gloves and cut away from yourself. Also using a self retracting blade can help prevent incidents. 6:15 - 6:37 please be careful!
Good to see your containment looking better than usual. But why the fuck are you not using supplied air or papr? Half mask for asbestos abatement ? Crazy negligent
Good. Soon, the device that can tell the future, officially named something like the “ Fortune Teller,” will be in our power. We shall figure out how to operate it, with cation. It could hold the answer to the world’s greatest secrets.
A magnehelic gauge is usually used to check for negative pressure. I’ve never seen smoke tests used in the field. The containments are usually too big.
Thanks for your comments Rodney. Critical barrier were all done and the enclosure was water tight but the video didn't show all of the critical barrier that were applied.
I am an experienced asbestos project designer/supervisor and trainer. I really enjoyed your video and admired your hands on workshop. This would have been a perfect video if the students would have set up critical barriers around the entire area before installing the floors. Then they could have installed the floors to create a water tight basin in the entire area.

Clear job guys, I don't understand why some people in out there still doing an asbestos removal without a correct procedure.
I'm new to the asbestos business and this was a great video. I have a much better understanding of the containment process now. Thanks so much!
This is a terrible video,.

Your Decontaminations units are disposable after every job. They cannot be usable at all.
Now your being nosey, stick to what your good at. Criticising peoples comments and insulting them for no reason.
Awesome video brother! Very informative.
These guys would get fired first day on the job. 5 guys to hold one wall .

No mention of a smoke test to check enclosure integrity?! How'd you know it's totally sealed?
It's on RUclips you moron , its there to be watched
you must live an exciting life
I do thanks for asking
I never asked though mate

Why us it products like zipwall not used? This method is tough
Wow. Nice tips! Thanks so much Robin Moseley. I always look forward to your videos
What material is used for anteroom fabric
Thanks for your comments Rodney. Critical barrier were all done and the enclosure was water tight but the video didn't show all of the critical barrier that were applied.
