the "wait, who's taking care of my farm" line is really one of the most hard hitting bars for me. the imaginary "Russel" got so caught up in his success that the farm that he grew up taking care of has become an afterthought. To me its a metaphor for the sacrifices we all make to reach our goals. Doesn't each and every one of us have a hobby, friend, loved one etc, that we've had to leave behind at some point in our lives? this song is fire, absolutely incredibly storytelling.
"Whos taking care of my farm" isnt really random. Its still within the Russell Westbrook on a farm analogy. He's thinking back to his farm and what his life would have been like if he never went out of his comfort zone and found the basketball.
I also thinks it's about how his plan had his whole family planned out, and now that he left that lifestyle, his friends, family, everyone from there is not in his life after he reached his heights.
Really hits harder now with the success of "Dave", the scripted comedy show route was always what he wanted to do so thanks to his blowup in rap, he's had an opportunity to go home back to "his farm"

Some serious word play and definitely shows LD has got the rap game flipped upside down right now. He's a genus and i'm glad you're getting into him.
He's saying Russell looks like a dick. "So this goat-owning MF look like a dick" that's a double - he's owning these goats on the court, and he's got a farm so he owns goats. "But even tho Russell knows that (he looks like a dick for owning these goats on the court) he doesn't submit."
I’m so happy that you want to go down this LD Road. For Lyrical - Bruh, The Antagonist, Make Belief, The Cypher, How can you sleep ft. I hope you react to more of him. He’s in my top 5 for sure!
i got to meet him more than once. so down to earth, even though i was the last person to the meet and greet, he took his time with me asking my opinions and shit! this song is one of his tops in my opinion.
The line you missed when he said "the goat look like a dick" is in reference to the previous bar where the "goats" are being hard on Westbrook and the newcomers cause to them ball is life. Basically saying the GOATs are being dicks to Westbrook and the newgen.
Double entendre and the bar is "the goats been all in since they was kids, and this goat owning mf look like a dick" cuz he was a farmer in the story , probably owned acouple goats on the farm , and then the meaning you said too
Make belief is another fire ass track of his that really let's you inside of his mind. Off of this mixtape as well. Honestly between this, Molly, make belief, and antagonist, you get a full picture of what he's thinking and the struggles he's going through to achieve his goals and aspirations
RIDICULOUS that this man has not heard this song. He would fucking lose his mind to Make Belief and he would actually understand the chorus which I’ve never heard anyone ever mention the point of the song a make believe can’t make belief
Everyone reacts to his newer stuff, check out his old stuff from the So Hard mixtape like Ham or white dude. Or attached at the hip. That’s where he started
In the end he says "who's taking care of my farm. I really loved that farm.". Normally, I would leave that line for face value, however, Dicky comes out as surprisingly and oddly deep and thoughtful. I think the farm is still part of the original analogy with his life, referring back to RW farm is meant as his life before the career. We learned in his song "Molly" that he had to choose between his rap career or his long term love. He obviously went with his career as did RW. So, without this coming out the wrong way, his girl, and what likely would have been a normal life I believe, would be his farm. "Who's taking care of my girl. I really loved that girl.". Or I'm way too high and need to put down the tablet.
the part where you got confused was where he played around GOAT (greatest of all time), goat (farm), and kid (a baby goat is called a kid, also he's the rookie)
Got dammit dude! I'm right with you on the pause ⏸,,, like jeebus man.. literally my head n my mind man, bobbing like a bobblehead, &I'm 3rd eye 👁 blind man 👨🦯 like Dicky got dem bars that make you wanna rewind man...

Loved your reaction man! I hope you react to more of him. He’s in my top 5 for sure!
One of his best production/concept wize tracks. I really enjoyed this reaction, and Dicky is under valued.
LD “How could you sleep” and “The Antagonist”
Other than this, his Cypher and Bruh are my favorites of his lyrically. He SNAPS on Bruh.
i got to meet him more than once. so down to earth, even though i was the last person to the meet and greet, he took his time with me asking my opinions and shit! this song is one of his tops in my opinion.
The line you missed when he said "the goat look like a dick" is in reference to the previous bar where the "goats" are being hard on Westbrook and the newcomers cause to them ball is life. Basically saying the GOATs are being dicks to Westbrook and the newgen.
Kidd is also a young goat 🐐
Nah, he's saying russell looks like a dick owning these fools who been doing it forever, but he keeps going
Double entendre and the bar is "the goats been all in since they was kids, and this goat owning mf look like a dick" cuz he was a farmer in the story , probably owned acouple goats on the farm , and then the meaning you said too
2023 and this still one of the most creative rap songs ever made
Hell yeah glad to see you reacting to one of his more serious songs... Can't wait to see you react to Bruh..
I suggested this 7 times and finally!!! Thanks! Now Antagonist! That’s one will blow your 🧠
Damn son, you've come a long way since smoking a blunt on the vid. I am so happy with how far you have come.
How Can You Sleep - Lil Dicky ft the Game!!!
You’ll love it
First time hearing that one. That was sick. Subbed
Great video man, as usual. But you don’t know the Pound Cake beat? It’s goated and has been for a decade
LD worked at a marketing firm.
Firm=farm.
The antagonist is another must. Hes also got a cypher that most people dont know about.
his line about who's taking care of my farm was not random. its a reference to not forgetting where you came from.
Really scared by lil dicky is amazing too, great reaction!! Fav by far
yeah bro i think he leveled up for sure!!
If everyone introduced vids this way I'd actually subscribe... great content sir
My favorite song of all time, and one of the best songs of all time even unbiased.
This is without a doubt my favourite song that dicky has done
You are right to be blown away; the man has bars like just about nobody else lately...
Lil Dicky Cypher is another one of my favorites behind this song.
Great job bro

This is my favorite, great reaction
