I’m seriously impressed! Those edge of break up tones sounded so good….& no valves! Maybe the best solid state amp I’ve heard, would love to hear this through a 1x12 cab….I’m almost sold. 🎶
Damn, bro! Your playing and the sounds you're getting are amazing. Best demo of these amps that I've heard so far! I'm very glad that I subscribed to your channel.
Very good demo, complete, user-friendly, with Jack Gardiner's tones and sounds in illustration, great work 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻!!! I love your expression from 35:11, the satisfaction that shows on your face until, finally, you say: "That's the right spot" 🤩✌🏻🤘🏻!!!
hi jack, May i ask would you cooperate with ibanez recently? your custom guitar is so beautiful and sound so nice, and i would like to have it. If dont, i may buy the ibanez AZ2407 / STRANDBERG BODEN ORIGINAL. i am grateful if you answer me. cheers~
My first real amp was an Ironheart 120, and it was a fire breather, but the cleans were surprisingly very satisfying. I really wish modelers would include some Laney stuff in their emulations. I love the Lionheart tones too.
A bit disappointed with mine. I got the biggest one. Doesn't really chug. Cleans are nice, classic rock stuff is good just not as good as I had hoped for with metal.
Thanks Jack. Nice demo, as always. Edit: To answer your question: yes, I will get Dualtop as soon as it shows up in some nearby store. I like the sounds, flexibility and all other nice features that comes with it. I was about to order Loudpedal, not for the format, I don't particularly need a pedal amp, but because I was looking for an affordable solid-state high-gain amp with all those nifty features for studio needs. Both are almost same in features and, I believe, the sounds. I just prefere the standard format of the Dualtop better.
amazing job on demoing these amps! they sound amazing and the tones you dialed in are more than suitable to your style of playing! definitely will check them out the next days!
2:40 - Are they actually IR's as in "impulse responses", or just a static cab simulation EQ filter? Just asking because I've been hearing the term "IR" thrown around when watching youtube videos on different gear, and it appears as though it is becoming as interchangeable of a term as "vibrato" and "tremolo" - or - "coil tap" and "coil split" have become, even though these things have different meanings/ purposes...
I have a 15ohm cab, will it give a full 60 watts, usually transistor amps give less into higher impedance cabs. I can't see any reference in the specs. Thanks
There is no pedalboard altering the sound? 😅 Unless you’re on about reverb and delay that’s been added afterwards - stuff that doesn’t affect the ‘tone’ of an amp and stuff you would typically use an amp with?
These sound great, and look cool to boot to. However, I really have to ask... what in the world is Ibanez playing at? Why have we not seen this as a Jack signature AZ model yet? Do they just not want money?
It’s a really specific question, but I’m very curious if you have any experience with the Cub Super 12 and how it’s clean and crunch compare to the Dualtop, especially considering it’s solid state and the Cub is tube amp? I played a Super 12 the other day at a guitar shop and fell in love with it, but man, Solid State tech has come so far the past few years and the Dualtop’s cleans sound absolutely incredible.
If I wanted to use the leadtop and retain the use of the efx loop could I use the loud speaker output connected to a di (volt1) either directly or through a load box?
Curious about the fx loop. Seems like some amps create an annoying split type of signal when using the fx loop… one side clean and the other with fx… does this amp do that?
First connect the XLR out to an audio interface like a scarlet or something alike. You'd need an IR loader plug-in to use within your DAW software. There are a few free plugins out there that do that. Then set that slide button on the back to OFF, then use your own IR in the desired plug-in.

Great review...thanks !
First :-). Nice work as always! Deze sound very nice. Curious however how they sound/ feel with a cab / in person.
This new Generation of Solid-State-Amps is very impressiv. you get so much sound and that without valves - its amazing.

Give him a frying pan with 6 pieces of wire tied on it, I bet that sounds good !

hi jack,
May i ask would you cooperate with ibanez recently?
your custom guitar is so beautiful and sound so nice, and i would like to have it.
If dont, i may buy the ibanez AZ2407 / STRANDBERG BODEN ORIGINAL.
i am grateful if you answer me. cheers~
I am not sure how big of a role your IR plays here but they sound absolutely great
My first real amp was an Ironheart 120, and it was a fire breather, but the cleans were surprisingly very satisfying. I really wish modelers would include some Laney stuff in their emulations. I love the Lionheart tones too.
How to make an average sounding amp sound good: let Jack play it
please tell me ibanez is making you a signature? that guitar is too beautiful not to share..
As always: Love your tone and your playing! 🥰
This or Orange Micro Dark? Which you Prefer?
A bit disappointed with mine. I got the biggest one. Doesn't really chug. Cleans are nice, classic rock stuff is good just not as good as I had hoped for with metal.
Why does the Leadtop sounds sicker than the dualtop???
Thanks Jack. Nice demo, as always.

This is timely, I just started playing around with Laney Amps' captures in Tonex after noticing Lari Basilio uses Laney amps.
amazing job on demoing these amps! they sound amazing and the tones you dialed in are more than suitable to your style of playing! definitely will check them out the next days!
Does this sound like the new laney IRONHEART bcc IRT60H
Sounds sick!!!!
Excellent.
Not my style of playing, but absolutely beautiful playing nevertheless.
Woww can't believe it's solidstate! Does it have digital tube-modelling in there?! It's crazy..
Also love the red LED light to match the amps XD

Thanx! Im considering now to buy that lead top!
I have a 15ohm cab, will it give a full 60 watts, usually transistor amps give less into higher impedance cabs. I can't see any reference in the specs. Thanks
When am i going to see a review without a pedal board altering the sound?

In lead top, you connect directly from speaker out to headrush? It means it is safe if I connect it direct to my focusrite without loudbox?
Why does the dualtop sound less loud did you have lower volume settings? Leadtop Sounds wicked though

Great review!! Splendid playing!! This is one of the best reviews for an amplifier I seen in awhile!! I have to have this thing now!! Thank you!! ❤
hi :) does it sound the same as Laney Ironheart Foundry Loudpedal ??
Does it take overdrive pedals well? Great playing!
If I wanted to use the leadtop and retain the use of the efx loop could I use the loud speaker output connected to a di (volt1) either directly or through a load box?
excellent technique!...congratulations on the work!
Agreed, Jack you could make a 'happy cash' amp and guitar sound like a gig at Wembley 😅
Curious about the fx loop. Seems like some amps create an annoying split type of signal when using the fx loop… one side clean and the other with fx… does this amp do that?
Awesome fusion track 💯.. awesome tones form that Laney
Can I hook this to a powered studio monitor ? It has XLR input
What a small practical amp !! With laney sound on it, it’s a beast
I’ve seen a few reviews on RUclips of these amps, but this by far is the best review👍
We need a 3-channel version! Two "clean" channels (one for cleans and the other set to crunch) and the 1 heavy channels.
Laney are making great gear the last years.
👏👏👏😀👍sounds really good
27:22 nice! I got that reference
Inspirational as usual fella :)
Sounds absurdly good, how was this recorded? Just Via DI to Daw?
I have to say I'm surprised these don't have USB connections.
What would be the best way to run this through my PC? I have IRs, but no idea how to set up on PC.

Really unbelievable tone !
Man you are a great player
