@@ksksksjsactually good idea it's still chuck throughout the entirety of season 4, however clips of lalo slowly glitch in over time like how the actual intro distorts, until lalo makes his first appearance, where lalo fully overtakes chuck in the intro
@@rbreachgamer54that's neat idea actually. Lalo took over Chuck through the end of season 4 to middle of Season 6 intro and when Lalo dies in Episode 8, his image was distorted and the screen colors turns to black and white until the episode 10 when it's still distorted with black and white, however, this time, a brief glitch shows the image of Walter White and in the episode 11, Walter White image was fully shown in form of distorted black and white, replacing Lalo in the intro which also symbolize three man that change Jimmy/Saul's life forever (Chuck, Lalo and Walter).
A little detail I noticed, not sure if it’s intentional or not, but the scene used for Nacho is the one where he meets Lalo, and since the tape gets more distorted as it shows characters deeper into the criminal world, I believe it full on breaks when it gets to Lalo, due to how bad he is.
Yeah, and you're creeping closer and closer to the motivating force behind both series, the Salamanca family. They're the lynchpin of all the relationships and dynamics in both series. Meeting Lalo is probably the single most negative event in Jimmy's life.
I’m pretty sure if this was real, Lalo would simply replace Chuck in the character cards. The original design choice was meant to show how the past has been left behind. The final 6 episodes (the shopping mall heist with Jeff, Marion finding out and Saul/Jimmy/Gene being caught, the confession to Kim) are all mainly set after the events of Breaking Bad, and they’re the only ones who use the alternate version where the tape has stopped running.
I remember when Rockstar did a 20 minute GTA San Andreas Introduction video before players played the main game. It introduced the main and side characters respectively like this video did.
i know this has already been mentioned but i love the way the distortion slowly creeps in the more "criminal" the characters or locations on screen are (mike, los pollos hermanos, gus fring, and finally nacho) and the fact that the video seems to give up on trying to cover up how bleak and messed up it all is by just making nacho's part and the rest of the intro greyscale and distorted
Mike was a former cop and typing up some loose ends, Gus is hiding his criminal business with Los Pollos Hermanos, and Nacho is literally a Cartel Lieutenant.
Although I like vince’s short simple intros. I feel like for shows this deep these longer ones are better. I like the cuts of saul in his life as Gene Takavic. I think seeing saul in his new life before every episode was help the overall theme of the show. It would as generate a lot more mystery, curiosity and discussion by fans while the show was still running.
This edit is extremely done well. Really sets the mood for the show while the deteriorating tape serves as nice foreshadowing for Saul’s downward spiral. Keep up the good work mate. 😁
This looks official, I wish the show actually did something like this! Also that ending got me off guard! Would you be able to do a Season 6 Full Title Sequence?
This was so well done. I love how it got more and more distorted while glimpsing into Gene's life and showing the criminal underworld along with the characters that flashed black and white without much distortion were the ones Jimmy lost (Kim and Chuck).
I wouldn't deny this is a modern day masterpiece. But I really wish this had some Lalo and Hector salamanca in 0:52 instead of another shot of Gene re-watching his VHS tape
Hector is not a main character so there'd be no reason to include him in the opening credits. Also Lalo and Chuck are never main characters simultaneously (Chuck is from seasons 1-3, Lalo 5-6).
!!!!SPOILER!!!!! Honestly it could be amazing if howard's intro title gets cut short and lalo appears in his place. And after the death, there's only lalo in his place.
Very good but assuming that this would be at the start of the show then having chuck in the court would spoil the moment, I would have gone with him getting jimmy out of jail, or him getting the newspaper. 9/10
Not really. These opening credits include Michael McKean, meaning that this intro would be taking place in season 3, since Chuck is a main character along with Gus.
@@_._---. Of course Chuck needed to be included, I just felt like Lalo did too. But yeah I guess this is meant to be an opening for the season 3. A second version of this with Lalo replacing Chuck for the seasons 4/5/6 would be cool tho
@@ramhthewatermelon Agreed. But Lalo wouldn't show up in the opening credits until season 5. Since he's introduced in late season 4 and isn't even a main character by then.
@@_._---. True, Lalo isn't a main character yet in season 4. However he already has a huge role in episodes 9 and 10 But yeah I meant a season 5/6 version of the opening
This intro credits both Chuck and Gus meaning it takes place during season 3. Lalo is yet to be introduced at this point but would be replacing Chuck in season 5 onwards.
It's so cool that the riffs in between the singing are purely black and white while everything else is still trying to remain in colour, and I think that one wide shot of everyone walking in the mall us so perfect for an intro
i really like how not only it gets more distorted over time, but how it also gets more distorted as it shows characters deeper into the criminal world
That’s the point
@@Garryswrld499 hence why he complimented their work. You missed the point of the comment
fr man the detail is so good
pretty sure its just because the intro did the same thing cuz with each season we got closer and closer to the gene timeline
Bravo Vince!
This is so well thought out and assembled. I hope Gould/Gilligan see this.
I hope so too (insert japan smile here because i cant use diffent langauges, I guess)
I hate that word. Hope.

I like how the tape starts distorting when it shows dead characters
Lol
But it distorts as soon as Kim is presented? I don't get this comment.
@@_._---. I just noticed that. Weird
@@Tenerens1s it doesn’t get really corrupt like with Mike etc, black and white filter foreshadows her break up with Saul
Throughout the season of bcs, the intro gets more corrupted and distorted.
"So much blood, shot down on his face."
**Shows Gus**
I think it says “somebody’s blood” and not “so much blood” which still makes sense here
shot down on his knees
I like how at 0:51 a spot appears on howard’s head where he gets shot
I never noticed that!
I like to imagine that this if was ACTUALLY part of the show, Chuck would get replaced with Lalo on the intro by season 4
Or it's chuck for 1 second but then it glitches and it shows lalo (ik I'm 1 year late but I didn't want to get spoilled by the intro)
@@ksksksjsactually good idea

Cool idea, that or maybe Nacho gets replaced by Lalo after Rock and Hard Place
really late reply but having Lalo right before Howard gets presented is a really great idea

Those little cuts to Gene's life are oddly heartbreaking. You've done a great job with this.
BB and BCS should have made an extended intro for it's final episode and it's really missed opportunity lol, but still a great show
Dude this is so well made, awesome job also love the consistency with the degrading tape
Just finished binge watching the entire series and you captured it beautifully with this title sequence. Good job.

I don’t know why but this whole theme song gives off psychedelic/hippie vibes

Wonderfully done. This tells the whole story in a minute thirty. Love it
The song in the credits, we're written and sung by the British Band, Little Barry.
Wow man, exceptional work, its really good, hope someone in the creative team sees this
