Thank you so much for this video. It helped me a lot. I needed to make box pleats, or what you call kissing pleats. I decided to measure my pleats 6 in each. That way I could divide them equally with no remainder. I'll let you know how it turns out
Thank you so much and well done!
Hope you got a good result! ❤️
How did it turn out?

I’m glad to read this. Thank you Janice ❤️❤️
Amen! God bless you too
Very helpful, thanks. How do I do this if I only want a few knife pleats, not pleats all around? It seems like I can adapt this by knowing how many pleats I want then multiply that by 3 (for 3" for each pleat). So if the waist is 30" and I want 6 pleats each 1" wide the math would be be 30" + (6 pleats * 3" for each pleat) = 48" of fabric. Of course the multiplier depends on the type of pleat.
You’re such a good student! Spot on! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️
I don’t know if you’ll ever see this.. but what should I do if a client’s waist is 48”? Meaning 48 x 3 for the pleats. Which will be about 144 in all. Yet the width of the fabric I’m cutting on is 60”.
Hi…. That’s more likely the fabric length. The fabric width is in yards or metres.
Your options are get another fabric where you have more yards or don’t go for pleats, it won’t show based off that measurement ❤️
@@SewUnique_ng Thank you so much 🙏
Thank you so much for this video. Please how do you measure the back? With the zip in the middle?
HI, I’m not sure I understand your question but I measure excluding the zip allowance. 🙏🏾❤️
Thank you ❣️ so much

Is there a tutorial on how to insert the zipper and keep the flow of the knife pleats ?
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and for your support. I have a tutorial on zippers. ❤️❤️
Thank you ma for the tutorial. My problem is the the division. When you use width 5 . Does it mean that , for 123 . For 1 you have 1.5, for 2 , 1.5 and for 3 you have 2.. To make it total of 5 width. thanks in anticipation.
Hello! When you’ve decided on a 5” pleat width, just do 5 divided by 3 and each section will be 1.7 approximately
So 1.6,1.7,1.7 and then pleat accordingly
I hope this helps ❤️
@@SewUnique_ng thank you so much ma. God bless you for the response.
Epic epic
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
