DWS06 are the best uhp as tire I've had, tried the Michelin n while they were good in summer I couldn't get traction in the water. With the dw6os I was able to drive how I do in the summer in the rainy weather with no problems

Great video! I've been looking at performance all-season options for my X3M. As you know, it's pretty much just Contis and Michelins being talked about in BMW circles. I was highly considering the DWS06+. But unfortunately, I daily drive pretty bad roads with LOTS of nails and debris. I usually end up changing my tires early due to unrepairable tire damage instead of due to tire wear. So the value proposition on these Falkens looks pretty appealing since I'm going through tires twice as fast due to damage.
Fully understood. Honestly give these a go. I think you’ll be very impressed. I’m at 5k miles on them now. Finally got to test them in the deep snow. I was sliding but controlled. That’s all I can ask for with RWD and all seasons.
@@zkramezThank you! Funny thing is, how I came across the FK460's was from tire shopping for my wife's GLC43. The OEM tires are 255-front and 285-rear and the available options for UHP all-season in 285/40R20 are extremely limited. No PSAS4 and no DWS06+ but the FK460 is available! So I'll definitely end up trying these out one way or another.
The Contis come with a warranty for everything you named 😂 They also come their own roadside assistance

I drove it in 9 inches of snow and they were great. I didn’t get stuck which was insane. Definitely not a dedicated snow tire but holy cow am I impressed. I should have filmed my great escape from the snow pile. All I’ll say is these are definitely more geared for winter driving than the Pilot Sport All Season. That is more for performance. The Falkens are better in wet and snow. Kinda have to pick your poison.

Enjoyed the review and will be purchasing a set! Having not tried Continental DSW06+ or Michelin Pilot Sport AS4, most would recommend Contenental tires for the price or as you stated, if money is not an issue, definitely get Michelin. However I have previously ran Sumitomo HTR P02, sub brand and manufacturer of Falken, they were pretty good tires for a daily driver on my 2018 Subaru WRX STI for all weather. They werent the stickest tires, but i felt safe and confident in the rain or light snow and doesn't take away spirited driving when i want to have some fun. For the price of the Falken FK460 being cheaper than Contenental and Michelin and having very similar characters of both, i definitely feel these be one of the best bangs for your bucks.
After you drive a few hundred miles let me know your thoughts! I really am enjoying these.
These will be next for me to try on my 370z! You're totally right about the $600 difference in cost - just go look at the updated pricing on the PS4's ( Gulp!! ). I'm not doing track days and even if I was - the ps4s wouldn't be the tire to choose! To me the tradeoff in noise/comfort/ability to get through an occasional winter situation is worth the maybe 5-10% difference at the limits in terms of dry traction that the PS4s is reported to provide. One thing I just have gotten over with is the noise from the PS4's - it's just horrible in the 370z - especially as they wear down a bit. One other thing - it seems that the local tire shops get a discount on the Falkens - so it may be worth actually investigating pricing in person - then compare to tire rack online...
BTW - I put the Vredesteins Winter Pro on my 370z - they were running a $150 off - so around $850 - They're a dedicated winter tire as I am doing a ton of commuting for my current job - nice tire - really quiet!! We shall see once first snow hits!! Can't miss any days at work so... cheaper than new Tacoma!
I have a 2023 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport, which I spec'd for rear wheel drive. You know, drive a slow car fast (quickly down country roads, I mean). I've had the car 3 weeks now. It came with Bridgestone 001 summer tires. It get's cool here in late October, and downright frigid beyond summer tire weather in November. As do you, I like to drive my car year-round. So I've bene thinking to garage the car, or to put A/S tires on it. I'm a big fan of the Continental DWS 06 Plus tire, running them on my wife's Lexus ES-330, and my MK6 Golf-R. But I've found your review of this Falken tire to be illuminating. This especially since I'd have to buy the Conti with dissimilar speed rating because the fronts are not available otherwise, according to Tire Rack. Not sure that would be a safe decision, though I never intend to exceed 130 mph. I'd need to find the science to justify that purchase. Meanwhile the IS 350 only has 280 ft/lbs of torque, so there's that.

Thanks man! 🙏🏻 running a summer tire in sub 40° weather will dry rot them unfortunately. It happened to my Bridgestones well before the typical life span of a tire. I’d go all season if you don’t have an extra set of wheels
Will these be safe on 457 AWHP 2024 X3M? I am planning on replacing OEM 21 inch Continental Sport Contact 6. They are very harsh, not much grip in wet and wear too fast, especially on the back of an X drive BMW X3M.

Didn't love Michelin PSA/S 4s. Solid performance with great handling characteristics but the comfort and noise was lacking. Have also had DWS 06+ and they have the comfort aspect down but feel a little squishy. Probably going to try the Falken's next. Hoping they can kinda split the difference (initial Tire Rack testing looks good)
It really is a great tire. I wasn’t blowing smoke.

Yes and they also have a plant in Buffalo NY
What do you think of in inexpensive tires like Lexani? I'm thinking I should play it safe and go for the falkens. Lexnis are like 500 bucks falkens are 950
I have never tried Lexani’s so I cannot comment on them.
I usually only put Michelins on my car but these Falkens had such high reviews and were so much cheaper I had to give them a go. So far I’m at like 3k miles now and I absolutely love them.
I also in New Jersey. Lol
