Received mine this morning and set it up in just a few minutes. Phone went from 1 bar to 5 bars in my basement and first floor. Pretty cool! Speed test on my phone went from 2 mb/s down and 1 mb/sec up to 28mb/sec down and 25 mb/sec up.
I live in a rural area, and been using those Cel-Fi boosters for about 4 years. They are good for getting a signal in my house, when I'm not sitting near a window. However, they all have a flaw, they are not cooled well internally. We turn the heat down to save money, and they work great for three seasons, but in the summer we set the AC at 78, and these are overheating and turning off every afternoon. Our last set died in August, and we are still waiting for T-Mobile to replace it, because they are on backorder. This is our third set. So, make sure you put a fan near each unit to push air through it to keep it cool in the summer, and DO NOT put the window unit where sun light can hit it.
The cell signal booster is an obsolete solution if your home has weak coverage directly outside meaning 3/5 bars or less. We tried it and it was a piece of junk.
The USB socket most likely is to program firmware and address it's registered at. The address is needed for emergency calls. Being it's for no reception areas like grandma laid up in bed if she calls 911 the operator can see where she is.
@@nightwaves3203 I recently bought 185 of these at auction. Tmobile hardly ever activates the imei on these, you need to qualify for them. Cel-Fi makes these units for tmobile and makes an unlocked version of their own. It's the same logicboards and everything. I am desperately trying to get these unlocked or the cel fi firmware flashed on to the tmobile ones. I'm willing to pay someone who can do this
I am considering buying this even though it is no longer supported by T Mobile. My question is..... Does it still work? I am not a T Mobile Customer but I have a Sleep Apnea machine that uses a T Mobile Modem and I have a very weak signal in my house. I am hoping that this might allow my device to upload my data???

T-Mobiles site says the duo can continuously handle 16 voice calls and 4 data links. The number isn't actually the best. If a lower number gets into where you want use that. High numbers represents the max limit of signal at it's outer range. Remember in apartments anyone else in range needing LTE will jump onto your device. Locate for you not them.
it works well in my house - thing that bothers me is I really need it when satellite internet goes down - not sure why it needs the wifi ? I had a 3g cell tower many moons ago from ATT and it got the signal straight from the satellite like a cell tower does and my phone got the signal from the micro-tower
My Signal booster has been refreshing randomly throughout the day making me loose signal. Is that normal? Is it supposed to do that finding the best signal or did I get a defective device?
The booster doesn’t work because t immobile is trash. Fake 5G and even worse on 4G. The fact that you need a booster to have a shot at better coverage says everything
Dude..........that is NOT the latest !!!!! I've had that same exact device(s) over 6 years ago The new version is a single panel device....Wake up and smell the coffee !!!

i’m so upset, i got mine yesterday.. everything is set up correctly.. no signal boost, bars go in and out
Have one.they don't have them anymore .works fair to boost signal for voice but you may as well forget data improvement or much improvement on text.

No matter where I put it I get a number 1. Did you ever figure out what the usb plug was for?

I got one recently and yes it does work and I can use 5G still with this booster
@@avilajairo74 how did you register it? I just got one and I’m trying to register and don’t seem to find the page
Mines does nothing for me because my apartment is to small i think. But what does the usb plug do?
#9 on box. 5 bars on phone. Still buffers for 2 -5 minutes before either saying no connection or connecting for 30 sec then back to buffering.
Thank you for this video ... You have answered some of my questions.

I can only get "1" no matter where i put the boxes. 🤷
One bar of strength? This thing is a joke.
He's supposed to place that facing the window not facing inside what a idiot lol

Don’t get they will charge you $300 when you have to switch to another company cause you don’t have service in your own home!!
Wrong, they only charge if you keep it and don’t return it.

RiZe_Nightwing no you don’t have to connect to it

Sadly yes, I don't know what I'm gonna do when mine kicks the bucket. I guess bye bye t mobile

no - I just got one in October 2020 straight from Tmobile and it works well
Not working at all. It's very bad. Not worth it

This video is over a year old...
No shit dude...!
And.. the single panel device requires wifi
The new single unit isn't that great. I had one and it only supports band 66 and not band 2, which is their optimized LTE Band.
