Speaking as someone that hasn't listened to much of either the US or JP OSTs of Sonic CD, this is a really great cover! The use of that FDS guitar, the N163 wavetable and that INTRO...MMMMMM...well done!
yo im a HUGEEE fan of your wild pokemon battle remix and id love to see you cover the trainer battle theme in the same style. theres very few remixes that capture the same intensity that the original themes exert and you pulled it off amazingly :)
Most people in the US know the Japanese one THANKFULLY, it’s def considered the definitive soundtrack here. The Steam release allows you to choose which one you want so that helped. Ive heard people say the US one isnt as bad as people say but. Its not worth it lolol
@@IsabelleChiming It IS considered the definitive soundtrack here, quite obnoxiously in fact, and no matter how many times I listened to it, played the game with it, or read people talk about it I never could understand why. Bad future is one thing, but Collision Chaos present JP makes my head hurt. Stardust Speedway and Wacky Workbench are the only better Japanese themes, with Quartz Quadrant being equal in the present but worse in any other time period. The only thing which is not worth it is to be this conceited in your opinions.
I forgot. US Collision Chaos is the fifth best, as Quartz Quadrant bad future US is the fourth. US CD also has the best special stage theme in the franchise. I don't like a lot of things, like Sonic 2 16-bit, most of the Japanese CD soundtrack, most of Sonic 3, Sonic Adventure 2, but you don't see me going around calling these things awful. At most I will criticize them to explain why I don't like them while keeping in mind all the problems I have with them are a matter of preference and other people don't have those problems. How nice it is then of those people who's opinions I respect to start calling the things I actually like "awful" compared to things I don't, no respect for other opinions. Of course I get triggered and start calling things they like awful too, because I'm not a saint and I can't take this abuse caused by negligence. That's why I maintain that all art's quality is entirely subjective, otherwise I would have to declare that either most people have an objectively provably awful taste, or everything I love is bad and I should feel bad, which I already do reading comments like these and I cannot change my taste so I'll work with what I have. I wanted to subscribe for cool music, but thankfully I read these comments, so in any way I won't support such garbage. Again, I often support and listen to people who dislike what I like, but this isn't a mere difference of taste, it's a rude and cruel dismissal of any merit a piece of art I love holds and I won't stand for it. People like you two are the reason Mania had no US tracks and the only remixes we ever get are of Stardust Speedway US in Generations and Forces. Opinions like these are harming this community and gives us US soundtrack fans squat while you JP ost fans get fanservice every time CD is referenced. I know it's not a big deal, and I'm thankful for what we actually get, but the point remains that there are consequences to people thinking like this and I HATE IT.
Welcome back!
Great cover! The original is recognizable but your version has its own sound and identity. Another impressive famitracker banger from you!
Sick pulse orch-hits, that FDS guitar is solid as hell too, not always easy to get the FM right on it, so kudos!

Hm... for some reason i feel that there is something off the rhythm
Sonic CD
I'm disappointed that it ain't the US version and there's no mention of what version it was on the title
JP OST is default, US is the exception
@@IsabelleChiming well i knew the US soundtracks as the default one so am i an exception?
@@Skypatroller_BenCD yes, an exceptionally kind person :)
@@IsabelleChiming I'm fine with that LOL
I am surprised you know the Japanese (superiour) sonic cd soundtrack and weren't subjected to the awful american one!
