I choosed Singapore after working sometimes in Germany. I left Germany by Feb 2020. After 3 years of staying in Singapore, I am very happy about my decision. More Indian friendly, can visit India 3-4 times a year because of cheap air tickets, no racism. Germany you need to cook food, eating out is costly in Germany.

Singapore was one of the most expensive countries we visited. 2.5 dollars for a 500ml water bottle. It is very beautiful but the Indians we mostly saw there were doing labor-work. ( construction worker, street cleaners ect) which made us feel very sad. Seemed like Singaporeans are hiring other countries labours for their dirty work. Just want to give a other perspective of things. It might be great for you but the majority of Indians are not doing very good there.

There is also the "work-life-balance" benefit aspect of Germany (or EU as a whole). Strong labour unions in Germany (and EU) translates to 30 days / 6 weeks of vacation, ability to convert overtime work into days off, 37.5 hour workweek, and so on. And differently from the US (or India, which in my opinion, is closely modelling USA), taking vacations for work-life balance is very frowned upon, and guilt laden. In some German companies, even interns get mandatory vacations. ruclips.net/video/CpUO3JARjAc/видео.html

I hope you are clear that all the 80C, 80CCD and other tax declaration is your investment which you can use from 5 years onwards depending on the bucket you are investing. People living in Germany would also be saving some money for investment purpose right? nobody just blows 100% of their income on living expenses. Again term insurance, medical insurance, home loan, housing rent (even if you have home loan from the house in different state) are other segments which any person with "25lacks" package will have which is used for tax rebate (balanced against your tax). Also the gross salary depends a lot on how your company structures your salary, wherein either the company or you can utilize maximum of your salary. People are just focusing on traffic. If we are taking about quality of life, then having people who literally help in every damn domestic chore (maids, cooks, babysitters, househelp) throughout the day, 25 days a month is also blessed life. I know many people who go abroad for clean roads and greenery, get frustrated after year of doing every damn thing on their own (even assembly of furniture, fixing bathroom tap leackage) and miss their maids :D Not to forget people having kids value having accessibility to their parents more than any other thing.
