Idk if this will help anyone, but it helped me. The strumming: O--O--O-O--O--O (O=hard, -=soft) Since it's just up and down is should look like this, with the capital letters being the hard strum. D u d U d u D u D u d U d u D
Well that little uke really sounds amazing! I love the sustain that it has, and the.. colour? of the sound. Lovely. Is it the wood, is it the chords, or both?
Kate Bishop, it’s fingered 2-2-2-3... barre across all the strings with your first finger on the 2nd fret and put your middle or ring finger (whichever is more comfortable) on the 1st string on the third fret
Lol, good eye! I love this uke and play it nearly as much as my old Martin, but the logo just never looked right to me. I wanted it to look a bit more vintage and "timeless". A little sandpaper and steel wool and some dark brown wax fixed it right up! (I also removed the sound hole label, Ohana was nice enough to use a water based adhesive so a damp cloth lifted it off easily)
@@MatthewLyon hello Mathew. Just found this video which is great. I too have an SK38. Unfortunately, it developed a crack which runs parallel to the fretboard from the sound hole to the binding. I repaired this but it's now probably unsaleable for a decent price. I therefore decided to upgrade the tuners to Gotoh planetary tubers which are superb. Having seen how much better your SK38 looks without the logo I want to do the same and remove it. Can you give me any tips as to the process/grade of sandpaper and touch up technique? Which did you use first, sand paper or steel wool. I wasn't a big fan of this ukulele at first but when I changed the strings to Living Waters fluorocarbon it made a big difference. I really like it now. Thanks!
I recently figured out that I’d never made a part 2... Oops! I’m going to sit down and put one together in the next week and I’ll put a link to it in the description... thanks for the motivation!
@@MatthewLyon No way! That would be amazing!! You're really good at teaching :D I'm going to watch all your videos and learn from them too! ❤ I've had my ukulele for about a year and I usually dont do anything hard but your video challenged me and it was so much fun! How do you do your D chord in this video?
Kate Bishop, it’s fingered 2-2-2-3... barre across all the strings with your first finger on the 2nd fret and put your middle or ring finger (whichever is more comfortable) on the 1st string on the third fret
Very nice! Is that a sopranino ukulele?
Thanks! It's a standard soprano (Ohana CK 38)
i got a new ukulele could you help me please
What happened to your SK-38's Ohana logo?? It's not there no more! Haha

What are the tabbbssss
whered ya get your ukulele?
Ari we are Ohana dealers, so straight from them.
I am an intermediate level guitarist & i found playing saprano much more challenging than than that huge instrument.... My fingers r not for them
I don't even play ukulele, I play guitar, why am I even here?
because it's ✨m✨a✨g✨i✨c✨
it’s not playing as good and doesn’t sound as good
man you talk way too much!
