- Rappers wear jewelry that is next level! I think that the metal detecting find that I just found on the beach would make any rapper envy the ice and gold. I found it with the Minelab Equinox Metal Detector while metal detecting the beach. It was perhaps one of my greatest metal detecting finds ever.

You should try inland lake beaches. The dynamics are totally different. Found the coin line in the water of a Lake Huron beach. Pulled 2 wheaties and a sterling silver boy scout ring from the 50's or 60's. Keep swinging and have fun.

Stainless steel turns colors when heat treated with a torch. Usually people like the gold color that comes first before the steel gets hotter.

Its amazing. It set the bar very high!
My local regular beach is the opposite. They remove sand in the winter. 3-4ft of sand is skimmed off. Found my first and only ring after such a skimming.Silver with the words Love,laugh,live.
Between this and winter storms,it produces the most interesting finds.

I didnt even think about that until later. But the waves were moving and chains are the toughest objects for metal detectors unless if they are balled up.

Good fun video man! 😂 I too hunt dredged-sand beaches but in Florida. The wheat cents you dug were most likely from that sand. The one without corrosion was in some sediment without oxygen. You should find other old coins and relics like boat parts or military items. I find WW2 practice bullets etc along with old coins. Keep going!🎉

That was a nice pendant but I would say a bigger gold chain would definitely be your best find , I just don’t place that much value on diamonds that are under 1/2 karat , my jeweler will actually pull stones out of rings and give them too me if I ever sold him rings

well in a year or so my mooving should be done... when you ever than come to germany you have to visit me than we hunt at the donkey trail ...its a caravan route 4000 years old its hard to find but sometimes you can pick up some really nice finds there :) greetings from bavaria

The only time I grid the beach is at a beach volleyball court. I've found gold and silver (and junker) rings there.

So behind on your channel. Good video. Got on a patch Monday on beach in NJ. 2.3 silver rings one with a gold Cross in the ring. Dual metal. No quater left behind so it was work.

That rainbow finish is PVT, Physical Vapor Disposition. It deposits titanium oxide and oxygen on the steel then ionizes them, which creates the rainbow color.
Kershaw’s stainless steel pocket knives in the “onion” series used this process. That’s how I’m familiar with it. Pretty little pocket knives.

Ah Sir Merrell this is your local state police letting you know you must have broke into Fort Knox to steal that great big gold cross!, you see you just found about 30 grams of 14k gold meaning that's about 4,500. dollars in gold, Awesome and congratulations Sir Merrell,well done!

Should of taken my detector use a Excalibur 2 and sovereign elite fisher 1265 looking to get Nokta legend I go on the beaches of wales and trips round uk Swansea bay very good some one had a nice Roman broach
I had some diamonds last year part of a broach
All coins found this year going towards legend

I went out at low tide here in jacksonville and my 3rd target was around 26-28 on my ledgen.
I was in the waves, I dug deep into " hard pan " and pulled back and broke my handle 🤦🏿♂️

So is the manticore worth the upgrade from the 900? I recently bought a 900, and might consider upgrading to the Manticore, but I mainly park hunt, and a couple times a year at the ocean.
In my opinion, no. It IS a slightly more capable detector, but it doesn't justify the price difference in my opinion.
I could use some luck like that. Awesome job.

@@MetalDetectingNYC well, because of a bureaucratic snafu, my license was….. erm…. Temporarily invalid. (For 6 days…. I got my deadlines wrong for a thing, and…. Yeah. I got it immediately sorted, though.) And fixing it required an absurd amount of queuing. So, you kept me company without actually having to suffer the same Faustian nightmare of the DMV! (And today’s video was so fun! Congrats on that icy find!)
