I wanted to try some other backgrounds for this video, but I forgot to take the echo of that room into account. So the spoken audio track has a bit more of a bathroom vibe this time 😅 Next time I'll be sticking to the studio!

Zeer intrigerende materie in beeld en geluid gebracht Tim! Tof om ook Peter hier wat aan het werk te zien!

Definitely see why Rosewood is so popular. The cocobola was impressive.
I'm guessing it'll be Sitka spruce on honduras mahogany.

Just listening with your ears is useless. The frequency of a board is just a function of its dimensions and density. If you sized them right, all these boards would produce the same frequency.
What you need to do is to use spectrum analyzer software (like the free Room EQ Wizard) and find three frequency peaks in each board: the longitudinal (held as you did here), the cross gain, and the twisting (each held and tapped at a different spot). You can then put these frequencies into Trevor Gore's thicknessing formula.
I suggests you get the book "Mastering the sound of the acoustic guitar" by Giuliano Nicoletti. Move away from the voodoo, go toward science.

Amazing technical information! Maybe there is no “best” just “different” sound qualities that will suit or add variety to different songs and styles. I found the Santa Cruz your tour promo fact interesting - maybe a biography of you background and journey into music form childhood would be interesting video too.
