Road Scholars at 25!

Illinois Humanities celebrates 25 years of our Road Scholars Speakers Bureau.
Our speakers share their passion and expertise in literature, philosophy, theater, local history, film, music, politics, and more with communities in Illinois.
In the past 25 years, 3,255 Road Scholars events were produced; 261 speakers from 41 Illinois counties have participated in the program; over 1500 host organizations have booked a speaker; and 97% (99 out of 102) of Illinois counties have been served, along with 426 Illinois cities & towns.
