I'm so happy to be back and can't wait to share all the good and the bad of this semester with you! if you're new, please subscribe and join this journey (& feel free to go back and catch up on some videos from last semester or just my life in general over the past 4 years)! watching this video makes me so happy because I was so excited to get back to campus. I think being in one spot for this whole semester and not having to move to the other side of the world and then move dorm rooms will be a pleasant change! the first 2 weeks back on campus have already been crazy and not what I expected at all... you'll see it all in videos and vlogs on my channel over the next few weeks. Hi Tia, I'm thinking you could probably invest on something from Ikea for storage that you could posibly sell later, also the bed you're not using, could be used as a "living area" so maybe it could be like a couch, that will make you get the vibe of another area in your room.
Btw, you could also need somewhere to put your keys everytime you get in the room 😅

Even though the logistics of moving in during the pandemic, she was soo happy, I hope one day I could go to some cool university as her, to feel like a little happy dog cause now highschool have me craaaaazy and pandemic too so I hope all this effort give me some happiness back in a future, AAAAHHHH she was so happy, great vlog! :,)
Wow collage quarantine meals have really stepped up their game
Good luck for this semester! Also my sister was told she was allergic to dairy but was still reacting to something, and finally after a few years she ended up seeing a gastroenterologist I think and found out it is actually the nerves in her stomach overreacting to any food so that could also be something you could look into if the dietician can't help!

You should put the desks in an L shape against the window! Then you'll be able to reach everything and it will be more useable space!

You should get another one of those hanging storage things that you got in your last room. Hanging another one with the electronic thing would give you half of the upwards space which would probably really help. Any clothes you're not using till summer, store them in your suitcase and tuck em under the bed.

Tia losing a dorm key is super common. I lost my key multiple times per semester. It all depended upon if I was with my roommate or not if I could get back in. There was one time where a maintenance person let me in. The other times whoever was on duty let me in. I had suite style dorm rooms. I am way more careful now about knowing where my keys are since I graduated over 2 years ago. I attended a university in the state where I live.
You should watch some other move in vlogs and dorm shopping things. It gives you really good idea for storage and things like that. Getting one of those plastic drawer sets really helps. And some stands and stuff.
Tip from a Montrealer; the sunniest/nicest days are the coldest. I have no idea why, but when the sun is shining in the winter, you better double your pants, socks and triple layer your shirts.
yes!!! I think it's got something to do with the cloud cover trapping more warm air, so the cloudy days actually end up being warmer (I'm trying to recall year 9 geography haha)
@@TiaChitty yup. If I see the forecast calls for a clear night, I know it will be colder. Think of clouds as a sort of fluffy insulation in the sky 😅

The bed in the alcove looks cozy especially with fairy lights. I hope you got a fridge and microwave in this room. If you are able to figure out storage maybe putting the wardrobes by your hampers and moving the second bed more central on the wall. It could be like a big couch. If you need a great show to relax after the day I highly recommend Gilmore Girls. A mom and teen daughter navigate life and love in a small quirky town. The show is past the daughter's college years. All seven seasons plus 4 long episodes are on Netflix. I hope you have a great semester!

It's been pretty cold recently here so I hope you have been staying warm! I live about thirty minutes from Yale but go to a different uni in Connecticut that's about an hour away from New Haven. Good luck with your semester!!

I mean I live in Germany but the heater and the light and the broken thing on the window.. I would literally just call maintenance and they would have to fix it (for free 'cause German law 😂)
I took a food intolerance test and found out I'm intolerant to certain types of dairy/dairy protein. I can handle some stuff with dairy but not all. the test is worth it!! it tests for other popular food types too.

Pro tip to not lose your key again: grab a little piece of string and attach it to the hole in the key and put it on your wrist as a bracelet or maybe a necklace. I’ve never lost it since.
Yale 23 here who also lives far from Union Station- take a Yale Shuttle next time! They're free and they drop off at the dorms (and at the moment it looks like they will be running regularly next fall)

I speak Spanish and I have some verbs/verbos in Spanish for you like correr, leer, reír. They mean run, read and laugh😁 Spanish it’s more difficult to learn than English but you can do it😁❤️

I don't know if you have eaten it yet, but I was also lactose intolerant and greek yogurt does not bother my stomach at all! any greek products for that matter (Greek Cream Cheese, Feta, etc)
ohh interesting!! I'm still trying to work out my food intolerance issues haha
I don't know about the cream cheese, but "real" feta usually isn't made out of cow milk, so there's no lactose in there

I was referring to both Greek style products and Greek foods because in general other than like pita breads with real (lactose) cheese, I have never noticed a large amount of dairy in the food. It’s the same thing with goat cheese- no lactose=happy stomach :).

Hi Tia! I love your videos so much and they’re help me a lot. Moving can be so tough! Also this sounds so annoying but I just wanted to let you know that the masks with the valves push all your particles out and can put others at risk. The cloth ones or N-95 are better for keeping family, friends, others safe. Thank-you so much for the video super entertaining ❤️
