Hortus de Escapismo: One of the best stories in the whole game, great music, great aesthetic, great themes... But it also got saddled with the absolute WORST stage mechanic ever created on all of Arknights history so far.
Nah. Nethersea Brand was the worst mechanic because braindead civilians you can just deal with by blocking rocks and ignoring the statues (anxiety doesn't do enough damage unless you're stalling a stage for 4 minutes). Nethersea brand was like you don't have Lappland or Gnosis? Guess you lose.
What makes it worst for me is that the mechanics dont even synergize with the main ops! Nothing about this stage design really benefits or hinders Reaper guards that much. The event is just 20x less fun if you dont have Myrtle, because her absurd generation is the only counter to the 18 DP mechanics in the event and the urgency at which you need it to keep the stupid blind idiots alive. @@Nazuiko I don't think events in AK generally have anything to do mechanically with the operators that release with them. Like Lone Trail was Mumu and Ho'ol which did nothing special with the boulders. Path of Life i don't even think it had any special mechanic besides those things that gave everyone burning dmg. Babel had the slowing chains so you didn't even need Ascalon for slowing.
Theres so many things in this event that if they just. Didnt layer a billion gimmicks on each other, would be fine. The civvies would be a problem if the fucking rocks werent there and the statues didnt cost DP and the enemies didnt all stunt DP growth or just straight up steal it from you.
@Nazuiko honestly, if the enemies just simply didn't stunt DP growth, I feel like this event would at least be bearable. But you know what this event made me do? After getting back into the game a year ago, right after So Long Adele, and learning this game all over again, building my roster, and learning when both Flagpipe DP strat and Agent DP strat are better, this event forced me to bust out Flagpipe AND Ines at once just to deal with the severe DP stunting! That 3 team slots for an operator who only exists to feed DP, and 2 other Operators who, while feed DP, sadly their DPS...isn't enough for them to hold their own in this event?! I'm sorry, tf?! Normally Ines and Bagpipe are really decent DPS options, but the enemies are just to overtuned here!
It's between this and Stultifera Navis in terms of awful mechanics. But at least SN is more bearable with ops with silence and wandering medics. Hortus has DP caps and civillians who WON'T LEAVE! There were times where I could 3 star a stage becuase I forgot about the civillians and they die. The music and story are the only positive things I can say about it.
I feel like anytime they introduce civilians into a game mode in AK it automatically becomes a worse mode. Like the worst thing about doing ch 8 for me was the civilian stages (especially a certain hell stage with civilians in it). The only ones that weren't bad overall was the ones in ch 11 as you don't have to defend them, you just need to block them to make sure they aren't suspicious.
Civilians aren't a bad thing by itself, protecting them is what makes people suffer. In ch 12 (ch 11 doesn't have civilians) and Il siracusano they don't cause much problems.
@@egorbessonow2121 Yeah, I get ch 11 and 12 mixed up cause the vibes of the chapters are so similar, ch 12 was what I meant. The Il Siracusano ones are fine I guess as they don't cost lives if they die, they just lead to the blood oath dudes coming out more.
I feel like Siracuasa civilians were civilians done right. They don't cause you to lose a life point if they die, they just make the run a bit harder, giving incentive to protect them, but not making their protection a necessity
Hot take, I didnt hate this event, i thought it was fine, i appreciated placing characters to defend the civs while whittling down the attackers, the floorboards were interesting and dynamic. Vanguards being basically required doesnt bother me much, i like using lots of vanguards.
same. i both hate and love stages like in the event that force me to actually pay attention to the game instead of just place and afk. i was using a guide for 8 and the ex stages but even then i still had to pay attention and actually use my own brain.
I dont even think the event is "badly designed" its just VERY unorthodox. Remember when you destroy everthing using ur wisadels and Mlynar. Here it doesn really matter.
If they reduced the DP cost for the statue or made the crazy bar increase slower I would be really appreciated. Also this event is kinda fun with pushers/pullers, cuz yk, when there's a hole there's a goal
This is so real, probably the only event when i needed 3/4 of my strongest ops to do a trust farm, when i usually use 1/2 MAX. Enemies, mechanics, map setup, altars, CIVILIANS, this was and still is awful
I liked this event. But then again, I used a bunch of vanguards ( I have a lot built) and I used healing defenders and dollkeepers to block the rolling balls' paths. And I heavily used Siege's gang too, to helidrop onto the enemies.
I think maybe it has a different feel to it, it requires different responses or play styles or characters yeah. Like lots of vanguards to combat the DP requirements and debuffs. I liked this event alot too. I would say just that, maybe the enemy stats are too big for stages of this style. Specifically because of that, I think it is an unruly difficulty curveball.
man i was so glad to not have to play this event because i already had auto deploys set up, then found out that i didn't have auto deploys for ex-7 and ex-8.
4:18 that's such a good point- a double failure, or like, a failure with slightly delayed consequences that we gotta associate w the statue on our own your audio is nice n clear, and editing is tight, vid is nice to listen to enjoyed, liked, subbed, ty for the event, if you go for more, gl !
And then there's me. The sole madman enjoying the H.E. mechanics. I play male knights 5 star and below,+1 6 star. In this case, Execalter since he's the hero of the event. Totter is also a beast here.
How are they stupid? They run straight from one altar to another. If they die in "stupid" ways, be it boulders, holes, or bleeding out, it's YOUR own fault for not doing the minimum required about it.
@@ipatchymakouli415Say whatever you want but this thing is badly designed simply by how many things they expect the player to keep track off with this absolutely horrendous tileset for the stages. Getting lost there it's just too easy and getting distracted while trying to keep the civilians alive even more.
@@Gaiou0331 you can literally NEVER activate any shrine and beat the event, as long as you put planks on the holes and block the boulders from damaging stuff. Putting excuses on "getting distracted" or "lost" because of "tileset" just screams skill issue. Civilians are a pain as another source your life point can go down. But this event civilians are a breath to deal with compared to Ursus ones getting stabbed. I really don't get the hate. Maybe because people can't Surtr the boss, that's my guess.
I'm glad that you too also found this event dreadful. the stages I struggled with the most were definitely HE-7 and HE-8. The previous ones DID NOT prepare me for these last two that are the equivalent of a punch in the face.
When this event first came around I NEVER did it (I only did the 1st story stage lol), and I am glad I never did back then because the sanity damage I would've taken would have been insane. The fact that the TUTORIAL was harder than most of the stages too actually pissed me off.
It's infuriating to farm for RMA70-12 at he-8 normal stage not because it's hard or anything (you can easily wipe the stage with well placed meta units) but because it takes too long to finish.
Jars becoming a civilian from the event!!! (ngl this event is peak, it actually gives you some emotional damage unlike the last event that basically had no enemies AND YES I MEAN IT they die from basic attacks+the boss just binds himself to one of the bozos and therefore doesnt even exist like what the heck???) 9:30 Typhon event.
I was like a cool an another AK YTber and then I double checked whether I clicked on the right channel or not because I very much recognize that profile
I really liked this event because the main solution isnt really abt nuking everything. Like 90% of the game There are mechanics that tries to neuter dps like reflect, emperor blade etc but here nuking is irrelevant its a test of micromanagement.
Catch phrase of this event is "With friend like you, I don't need an enemie" (Last One Standing by SimplePlan), but event is nightmare for me. I can't multitasking, so i found spawncamping very reliable, since there is no super hard enemies and very few enemy doors. As for citizens, 2 flagbearers and statue skill spam keeps them pretty calm. Also, Ling.
My whole strategy for this event the first time was to spread units into two specific areas. Spawn Camping and Base guarding. The former helps put a stop from the enemies and can pre-emptively increase the DP limit by getting rid of the mobs. The base guarding is for the enemies that unfortunately drop in the middle of the map.
Fast redeploys (executors) were my MVP's in this event, especially for the boss. About 80% of my autos revolve arount Deploying Silverash on his S2 in some corner, for the later stages with saria or gummy and then treating the rest of the stage like a reaction puzzle to solve with fast redeploys. As a result I actually had a lot of fun in this event, elvating it to one of my favorites. Unironically great cristmas present
Abyssal Squad makes it a lot easier if you have it, now. You get a bunch of self-regen'ing bukly melee characters to block rolling boulders with so you don't need any medics, which really helps a lot.
Understandable. This was one of harder event mechanic for new players, since it cannot be easily countered with only 1 borrowed operator. No matter who was Your support You would struggle and feel like You need more of everything, at same time, in few different places. Still You did rather well here!
I know It's an unpopular opinion, but I really love this event ! It's mostly due to the event's story that I loved reading. I also didn't find the stage too annoying but it definitively made me think a lot lmao ^^
This is one of the event stories I skipped, but I like the stage mechanics. I think people just get annoyed when they actually have to think to clear stages. It’s far worse when the stages require certain operators and strategies to win, which is why I will always say that Design of Strife is the worst event. At least in other events, I wasn’t given the illusion of choice.
I actually enjoyed it too. But then again... I DP print using Stainless + Ines, so it was very hands free compared to what other people use. Far less multi-tasking on my end Don't like the rerun though. Locking me out of spamming the statue wasn't cool =/ I have more than enough DP to compensate, so I don't appreciate the babying to keep players from wasting DP
This event heavily reminds me of the beach world in PVZ2. In that case, a wave would hit the lawn and all the plants you had to the right would be immediately destroyed. The reason why it was so hated by the community was because they never really learned where to properly plant sunflowers. Most people had them to the far left, so when the wave hit, they had no attacking plants. The second people started planting sunflowers to the right and had their attacking plants to the far left, the world became super easy. This is literally the same situation. Arknights for the most part teaches players to set up their ops as close to the blue box as possible and let the enemies come to you. This event punished that play styles by having the enemies that steal DP and reduce natural regen. Also with how meta the Ines or Bag+Myrtle duo is and how long it's been around, people genuinely forgotten how to use vanguards. The event literally just punishes the traditional style of play that the game kinda teaches you from the beginning, and thats why most people hate this event, cuz they never learned a different play style. Put all your ops right next to the enemies spawn, bring lots of vanguards, use the pause button and 1x speed occasionally, and this event becomes so much easier
Ah yes, I remember the beach world from pvz 2, definitely a spike in difficulty. And yea you basically described my process for beating the event, just placing stuff right in front of the spawns and dealing with them that way. Worked well on my main cuz I have broken units, but sadly this account isn't at that point yet
this event's presentation, OST, character releases (yes, spuria and insider are neat, viability aside) and what not are amazing. i just wish the actual gameplay was as well omegalol
When this event came for a first time, it made me quite Ark for a longest period (4 months). I took some breaks before when I felt tired from game, but I always came back after 2-3 weeks
I remember when you made the best AK music video you said ‘i look forward to when this event comes around’ on hortus de escapismo. That did not age well 💀
I liked this event 😊 it's one of the more fun events imo I used my weaker units to clear, having to restart couple of times to clear while learning the stage, but it was fun not just dropping units in the first minute and afking
@Jarediann I will admit tho, that the biggest issue I had this event was when it dropped. The event required you to actually focus, and it got dropped during Christmas when I had no spare braincells 😭 If it was released two days sooner, it wouldn't feel so suffocating imo
Playing this event for the first time. Three or four stages in and I just felt.. Annoyed. Enemies? Okay. People running away from assassins and stuff? Sure. But brain dead, blind, pagan god worshipers? Hell nah. It was painful, but clearing all the stages with my not so meta units (my strongest helidrop damage is fang alter and utage), without a single guide was super satisfying in the end. Of course, watching the replays, I see even easier clears now. But will I ever subject myself to that? Nope. And the worst part? No guarantee on the drops! I can do a stage five times only to end with 3 of the rewards etc. Every other event was pretty much guaranteed for stage drops.
I forgot how hard this event was and I was wondering why I didn't get a full pot Insider and get the furniture for the rerun, and after trying the stages it is PAINNNNN
Fun fact with the event the boss stage use multiple varient with enemy spawning in different location, was the first time i've looked at a guide because i got annoyed at all my auto deploy not working due to lags changing the enemy spawn between run >
I used Spuria and her stun and def penetration made atheists less annoying. Also trapmasters, crowd control options and debuffwrs should be great addition for this event stages
This event's music, vibe, and new operators are top notch. I've been looking forward for the event since Frederico alter got revealed last year for the first time. But fuck this whole event mechanic in general. If only they don't make me lose the game I'd rather let the civilians die.
dp gen and knowing that I actually pay attention civilians made this event easy, it’s just a bit annoying on the boss for the normal stages because of the map layout for the masonry
To me this event was fine. The mechanics require brain usage, and that's why I play Arknights. Not just sit and watch. Else I'd play BloonsTD. If any event is the worst, it would be Vernal wind thingy. The boss stages were fine. But by design, the elevated walls mechanics is just about not letting enemies climb on the walls. So you just make a big blob of units to prevent that, and then you can put your hands up. Even less interactive than the first events. THAT is what a bad event is, in my eyes.
I remember, when I started i didn't have good opening operators and so managing their sanity while trying to clear the level normally was soooo annoying
I.... liked the event. It felt more Rainbow 6 than the r6 events. It felt less about strength and more about dp management. I guess different strokes for different folks?
Yeah, this event was more puzzle map than just delete enemies, particularly for the latter maps. Still needed to kill enemies, just required more strategy. Particularly the boss. Basically needed specific types of units such as block 3s in certain places at certain times and to make sure your block counts weren't all used up so you could block rocks
I love how we universally agree that this event sucks! I'm at a similar level, no longer a beginner player, so, I tried to use my less used Ops (only a couple of them are E2)... and I kept losing and re-playing on NORMAL difficulty stages! Every time, it was just because I haven't noticed a hole in the floor or where a civilian runs, or because I didn't get an extra DP-printer to calm those fuckers down! Two of my auto-deploys didn't work and I had to make them anew. I highly recommend to farm rocks and gel now. While the maps arebeutiful and the music is nice, it's by far the most annoying event I've played.
This is actually easier to 3* than Path of Life. Though Path of Life is casual to 4*. Did you notice there are few extra low def mobs? To brute force this, you need some 450 def+ ops or effective dmg vs 500 def foes. Probably. Your low efficiency attackers are distracting you and sapping your dp. And Dagda S2 at E2 does Shred those crossbowmen, though not ideal.
It feels so good seeing someone else react how I do to annoying gimmicks xD. I've been playing since Day 1 and have the most broken units in the game, and I still feel like some of the gimmicks (especially in the last year or so) have been super annoying and unfun. I really didn't like the anti gravity mechanic in the Silence Alter Event either. (But I may be in the minority on that one because it was pretty cool as a concept)
I actually remember this being the first and _only_ event where I failed at the tutorial. Which definitely felt like a sign of things to come for how this event would play out... Though I think I hate Lingering Echoes just a tad bit more.
this event suck ass, there is just to much shit happening, to me nearl alter and gavialter events have peak mechanics, the machanics on those both are hard but not overloaded at least
I was so annoyed about this event when it was launched the first time that I didn't even finish it thinking I'd be in a better mind space for it on the rerun... Played the rerun and I still find the event annoying as hell and I'm just beating it now cause I don't want to miss out on the medals and the OP cause otherwise, this might be my most hated event so far
This one is definitely up there as hard events. I think Sultifera was a bit better but still hard without hoshiguma and Lappland, also the painting one with Sui sisters where you need to change enemy ink color was too big brain for me.
I cleared the event yesterday. It took me like 1,5h to beat the last stage. It was so exhausting, I did not bother to try the Challenge mode for all of them or try to get all medals. Worst event since I started playing
This is easily second worst event mechanic-wise we've had in global Number one imo is So Long Adele, but that one is atleast hard carried by everything else
When what the firelight casts first came to global I hated the mechanic where the mobs reincarnate and go invis when unblocked and when it reran it was a little bit better but it still remains my most hated mechanic like stop stalling we doctors should be the only ones allowed to do this strat
Yeah, some stages I avoided the statues to save DP and it was fine. The civilians don’t even take much damage when under fear (I think they take damage, I didn’t pay much attention because they weren’t an issue at all).
The ones that deal huge dmg are those rocks or like HE-EX 6 if the left statue gets destroyed(which happened in my first dumb run) and civilians taking long routes and statues are destroyed by graverobbers
yeah i remember this event being absolute cancer and setting up a new auto on the boss stage proved that beyond a doubt though for me the first co-op event is probably still worse just because of how laggy it was for me, leading to an absolutely miserable experience
This event mechanic is really anti-blind, as without prior map knowledge, you'll have a hard time clearing stages. I found it become simple once you know where the civillians run to and where to place the planks first. But yeah it's not a fun mechanic at all, being pressured to protect idiots with no self-preservation is not good design. I'd say the best civillian mechanic is from Il Siracusano, where you can have civillians die without damage to your life points, your punishment only having to deal with an Elite mob that can be killed.
I dont like this event, but to be fair, I have used AH all the way till the last stage. It feels impossible without vanguards, but AH is broken enough that they work. I have given the last stage many attempts but still can't get the civilians to stay alive. It pissed me off even more because I almost got the perfect clear, but they both died right as the stage was ending. Ill probably just try it with a normal team but it feels bad man.
As a defenderknights, this event wasn't that hard as I just need to block the enemies and boulder and the civilian will be safe. Also, just zima on s1 is enough dp generation for the whole event. Edit: this event main challange is your own attention span, so it's quite literally a irl skill issue for some people.
Agreed. This event just requires attention, not simply placing units and brain goes off. Some sort of ADHD check some people can't go through. I didn't mind, only boss stage with boulders required some planning. And still, it was fun modifying the civilians path by slowing the boss with Ines/Mostima.
Just use tanky operators on HE 6 to guard the incursion point at the center and use melantha and a heavy hitting vanguard or a specialist like projekt Red to kill the two enemies that comes down to destroy the statues
I just came back to the game, this being the first event that started after I came back, and it made me consider quitting again. I was thinking if this is what events are like maybe I was right to stop, but it seems like this was an anomaly.
I agree on hating the event but to be honest that actually makes it good. The reason I hate it is because of the suicidal civilians and having to place paths for them that also open up new paths for the enemies, but ironically, that made the think in this game for arguably the first time. I either always relied on Kyo to guide me or forced the stage with a broken Operator, but in this event, through every stage I was hyperaware of everything and actually paid attention to what was happening, instead of just placing some Ops and watch. I paid attention to where to put Ops to block rocks, how to use my DP to have enough for my Ops and the Civs, place paths at the right time and before I knew it the stage was over. It always felt crazy to me how I would use a full Squad of broken 6* and still lose, and then there are people who only use 3*-4* and one 6* and beat it with ease, but the reason is because they pay attention to the enemies, their pathfinding, Spawn time of enemies and so on. For example in this event, the stages HE-8 and HE-EX-8 I tried to force through with a bunch of healers and 6* Ops and still lost, then I watch a guide and they just do it with like three 6* that can basically AFK the map, where I had to stress myself with 12.
The escort mission event, for your sanity... This is the only event besides to the co op garbage, that I did not do with my 4 stars, I grabbed my 6 stars and ignored as many of the annoying mechanics as possible.
The Event in General is not hard in terms of enemys. The problem in this event is the lack of DP bc of the Statue and protecting the Civilians and defending while be on pressure with low DP Makes this Event hard
Don't worry, they aren't all like this, haha. Make sure to check out record restoration to do alot of the older events, plenty of rewards and more digestible content
I actually really enjoyed the complexity of this event, as someone who doesnt have many e2 operators, burned through 40 sanity in retrys to get a 3 star on HE-8, just to realize that it didnt work on auto half the time, turned out Silverash was the answer to the solution, just as he always is.
Yeah, this particular incarnation of civilian mechanics is an objective failure, and when I say that I don't just mean "they're obnoxious," even though they are. It's more the fact that the Most Technically Efficient way to interact with the mechanic is "as little as possible." Bring Flagpipe with multiple flags, overgenerate DP out the wazoo, now you can use statues on CD, so the civilians never run anywhere because they never get an anxiety attack. They try to solve this by sending dudes to rappel in behind your frontline to break the statues to try to force you to Know The Stage but this event exists in the post-Texter world so you just counter-solve their solution on the spot. This event's mechanics actively and probably accidentally promote the most braindead, degenerate gameplay Arknights has on offer and that's why it's a failure.
Worst Christmas gift ever.

@@nicholasjacobs6605IL siracusano civilian is the best....
They died summon mob that Overpowered to realize got Bonk by mommy wolf😂😂😂
I feel like Siracuasa civilians were civilians done right. They don't cause you to lose a life point if they die, they just make the run a bit harder, giving incentive to protect them, but not making their protection a necessity
Hot take, I didnt hate this event, i thought it was fine, i appreciated placing characters to defend the civs while whittling down the attackers, the floorboards were interesting and dynamic. Vanguards being basically required doesnt bother me much, i like using lots of vanguards.
Respectable take
same. i both hate and love stages like in the event that force me to actually pay attention to the game instead of just place and afk. i was using a guide for 8 and the ex stages but even then i still had to pay attention and actually use my own brain.
I dont even think the event is "badly designed" its just VERY unorthodox. Remember when you destroy everthing using ur wisadels and Mlynar. Here it doesn really matter.
yea i would agree i think, just very weird, and personally not my thing
Tbh, i really liked this event. Finally made me feel like i actually used my brain
Real. All this time we actually play "tower offence" game. This event really embraces the "tower defence" game lmao😂
Specifically because of that, I think it is an unruly difficulty curveball.
some lives just aint worth saving
that's what this event told me
man i was so glad to not have to play this event because i already had auto deploys set up, then found out that i didn't have auto deploys for ex-7 and ex-8.
4:18 that's such a good point-
a double failure, or like,
a failure with slightly delayed consequences that we gotta associate w the statue on our own
your audio is nice n clear, and editing is tight, vid is nice to listen to
enjoyed, liked, subbed, ty
for the event, if you go for more, gl !
Thank you! I appreciate the support! :D
bro i thought i was the only one losing my mind liek call me a monastery civilian
maybe the civilian is actually supposed to represent the player
And then there's me. The sole madman enjoying the H.E. mechanics. I play male knights 5 star and below,+1 6 star. In this case, Execalter since he's the hero of the event. Totter is also a beast here.
This event legit made me hate the civilian mechanism even more, the pure stupidity of the civilians
Maybe because people can't Surtr the boss, that's my guess.
i used the ticket to E2 a 5 star on doc so i can use aak on anyone.
It's infuriating to farm for RMA70-12 at he-8 normal stage not because it's hard or anything (you can easily wipe the stage with well placed meta units) but because it takes too long to finish.
bro i had to use guides cuz im so fucking done with the civilians 😭😭😭.. even wis'adel cant help their asses..
Just be grateful that there is no CC version of this event
O h. No. You did not just say that... >
Normally I like to figure out event stages myself but I didn't even bother with this one and just used Kyostinv guides for the entire thing 😪
What made me snap is Ulpianus pot and Stainless on the banner in 90 pulls
haha even the second time around playing this event, just trying to make a new auto deploy for mission 8 was destroying me lol
that "Hello everyone" lowkey made me ghink im back to 2014 DanTDM mod showcases
I was like a cool an another AK YTber and then I double checked whether I clicked on the right channel or not because I very much recognize that profile
I really liked this event because the main solution isnt really abt nuking everything. Like 90% of the game
There are mechanics that tries to neuter dps like reflect, emperor blade etc but here nuking is irrelevant its a test of micromanagement.
Also, Ling.
bro described this event perfectly in one minute
multitasking in a game full with multitasking
dealing with mobs while babysitting panicking residents are an absolute asscrack to my brain
this event really constrasted path of life cuz that event was easy while this one is just pain.. merry christmas
Thank god i can auto deploy all the stages
Abyssal Squad makes it a lot easier if you have it, now. You get a bunch of self-regen'ing bukly melee characters to block rolling boulders with so you don't need any medics, which really helps a lot.
Understandable. This was one of harder event mechanic for new players, since it cannot be easily countered with only 1 borrowed operator. No matter who was Your support You would struggle and feel like You need more of everything, at same time, in few different places. Still You did rather well here!
Yea I thankfully knew how the event worked, due to full clearing it on my main account, if this account was more built i could've easily gone further
Oh yeah.. the boss rush that required thinking and meta units..
I actually enjoyed it too. But then again... I DP print using Stainless + Ines, so it was very hands free compared to what other people use. Far less multi-tasking on my end
Don't like the rerun though.
That did not age well 💀
Lmao I do remember that💀
Ah yes... HG giving us depression and truama during our winter holidays. The story made me actually tear up. It was quite sad indeed.. 😢
I liked this event 😊 it's one of the more fun events imo
I used my weaker units to clear, having to restart couple of times to clear while learning the stage, but it was fun not just dropping units in the first minute and afking
@@justintime7577 that's very fair, I can respect that
@Jarediann I will admit tho, that the biggest issue I had this event was when it dropped. The event required you to actually focus, and it got dropped during Christmas when I had no spare braincells 😭 If it was released two days sooner, it wouldn't feel so suffocating imo
@justintime7577 very true, Christmas is a busy time haha
I can't believe they just allowed Executor to buy into the fish propaganda and let the enemy escape.
Executor is aiding the fall of humanity, 0/10.
8:45 Nah, I think So long Adele was fun, I mean the only thing you needed to do was use the fountains and the soda mechanics not as bad as this.
I look forward to trying it
If there is any indication as to how difficult this event is, it is the fact that I needed a video guide to a freaking tutorial guide…
Fun fact with the event the boss stage use multiple varient with enemy spawning in different location, was the first time i've looked at a guide because i got annoyed at all my auto deploy not working due to lags changing the enemy spawn between run >
I think this is the only event that made me actively look up for guide instead of attempting it myself 😭
The true antagonist of this event is the hostages
dp gen and knowing that I actually pay attention civilians made this event easy, it’s just a bit annoying on the boss for the normal stages because of the map layout for the masonry
This event is so hard…not because of fun challenging mechanics, but rather because those people love jumping down holes…
I remember, when I started i didn't have good opening operators and so managing their sanity while trying to clear the level normally was soooo annoying
I.... liked the event. It felt more Rainbow 6 than the r6 events. It felt less about strength and more about dp management. I guess different strokes for different folks?
Yea probably, I don't blame people for liking the event, just not my cup of tea personally :D
This event was fun, better than those stages with bosses where you just dps them down
This is actually easier to 3* than Path of Life.
This was pain cuz if no statues , the rocks keeps killing these civilians. As a month old player I was dying inside.
I cleared the event yesterday. It took me like 1,5h to beat the last stage. It was so exhausting, I did not bother to try the Challenge mode for all of them or try to get all medals. Worst event since I started playing
This is easily second worst event mechanic-wise we've had in global
Number one imo is So Long Adele, but that one is atleast hard carried by everything else
After HE, so long adele is next
I guess I did not mind the so long adele event due to the absolute chill event music.
When what the firelight casts first came to global I hated the mechanic where the mobs reincarnate and go invis when unblocked and when it reran it was a little bit better but it still remains my most hated mechanic like stop stalling we doctors should be the only ones allowed to do this strat
What was wrong with So Long Adele?
I finished this entire event without ever using the statues once, ya'll are just ass😭
it's not a hard event but it's not fun either
@@LONKULADE "it's subjective,i had fun, other people also have and had fun"
Yeah, some stages I avoided the statues to save DP and it was fine. The civilians don’t even take much damage when under fear (I think they take damage, I didn’t pay much attention because they weren’t an issue at all).
@@mohammedsalmaanjada7798 Are you quoting someone?
And yeah it's subjective but the mechanics and design annoy a lot of players this time around
The ones that deal huge dmg are those rocks or like HE-EX 6 if the left statue gets destroyed(which happened in my first dumb run) and civilians taking long routes and statues are destroyed by graverobbers
yeah i remember this event being absolute cancer and setting up a new auto on the boss stage proved that beyond a doubt
though for me the first co-op event is probably still worse just because of how laggy it was for me, leading to an absolutely miserable experience
bro, I got reminded why last year I didn't even get past he-6 xD
This event mechanic is really anti-blind, as without prior map knowledge, you'll have a hard time clearing stages. I found it become simple once you know where the civillians run to and where to place the planks first. But yeah it's not a fun mechanic at all, being pressured to protect idiots with no self-preservation is not good design. I'd say the best civillian mechanic is from Il Siracusano, where you can have civillians die without damage to your life points, your punishment only having to deal with an Elite mob that can be killed.
I'm just finished level 4... and yeah... my complaint already much more than yours
I barely beat this event. The two idiots at HE-8 were seconds away from dying
And I almost always forget about the idiots in every level and I have to repeat it twice or more
Just use tanky operators on HE 6 to guard the incursion point at the center and use melantha and a heavy hitting vanguard or a specialist like projekt Red to kill the two enemies that comes down to destroy the statues
Yellow again, i got a p5 cantabile and pull 57 times just to get a cantabile pot in that 57 pull i also got a 6 star and like 3 5 stars
I just came back to the game, this being the first event that started after I came back, and it made me consider quitting again. I was thinking if this is what events are like maybe I was right to stop, but it seems like this was an anomaly.
@@TheFreakKid12 yea it's certainly a stand out for being obnoxious
The civilians are bad enough, but imagine pulling on the banner and getting Spuria...
Playing this event made me wish that they made Fuze lore accurate.
The Event in General is not hard in terms of enemys. The problem in this event is the lack of DP bc of the Statue and protecting the Civilians and defending while be on pressure with low DP Makes this Event hard
this event is not fun to play, but it's fun to watch. I hope we have more event like that lmao
i’m a new player and this is my first event lmao, its hell
Don't worry, they aren't all like this, haha. Make sure to check out record restoration to do alot of the older events, plenty of rewards and more digestible content
Do you know Robin's trap can protect wooden board?
huh????
Stainless device as well especially since it can stay till end of the stage without getting bothered by enemies
Yeah this event made me bust out Myrtle and the abyssal hunters just to deal with it, absolutely not fun.
On my main this was hell, on my 5 star only I can't even get through the 4th stage to get the free event unit. Once ex comes out...help
