My first experience with Paloma ... this video. What a performer! What charisma! Those moves! And that voice! I had to get up and dance. I'm addicted! Love you Paloma!
Paloma is an amazing talent. Seen her a couple of times in the UK, she thrives off the audience, maybe why she seems a bit subdued at this festival. Still gives a professional performance. One of the best performers I have ever seen live!
It's my love of British chat and panel shows that I've known her music for sometime, so sad I missed this show! Hope she tours in Western Canada sometime!
Bit of a bad venue for her , old audience kinda don't get her genius, how ever she's an amazing performer she just improves and gets better and better her true potential has not yet been achieved but she's going to get there there's no doubt her talent is outstanding, the band are fantastic to , the guitar in particular is just sublime the backing singers bring it all together beautifully, I want to see her do a gig with prince , imagine how perfect that would be .
Thanks to Emma A, who answered someone who asked for the setlist, I am gonna post the setlist here, just like Emma did, so here it is, guys: In order- Take me, It's the not knowing, The bigger you love (the harder you fall), Love only leaves you lonely, Trouble with my baby, Can't rely on you, Only love can hurt like this,
First I've heard of her. I like that she spotlights and names her backup singers. Each of them could have her own show. Does she write her own material?
Paloma mostly writes her own songs., She always works with collaborators, but she generally writes the lyrics and starts with a general idea of the melody. A couple of songs here were written for her: Pharell Williams wrote "Can't Rely On You" and Dianne Warren wrote "Only Love Can Hurt Like This". "The Bigger You Love" is a cover. The rest of the songs in this video are Paloma's.
It was hot as hell that day... she was hot and the audience was even hotter. But a lot of people were into her. Remember that this was Jazz Festival and she was little known here in America.
It just goes to show you that for public events, it is best that the artist has music that is well known. Maybe more would have been interested if they knew who she was or her music.
Chris Wilkinson ya audience dont know how much paloma its a great singer... i love paloma. i think she´s great singer..... since i see her in rock in rio lisbon last year i become a fan......
+John Svensen I was there. The acts at the festival covered a wide variety of styles. Paloma was followed by Macy Gray, with Gwen Stephani and No Doubt finishing the day at that stage. The audience, from where I was, seemed appreciative of Paloma. Unfortunately, the sound coming out of the speakers was very bad. If I hadn't known the lyrics already I wouldn't have been able to understand what she was singing, and at times when she hit a strong note it would just dissolve into static. I'm sure for most of the people there, it was the first time they had heard Paloma.
In order- Take me, It's the not knowing, The bigger you love (the harder you fall), Love only leaves you lonely, Trouble with my baby, Can't rely on you, Only love can hurt like this, ----
I REALLY wish that America would discover Paloma Faith! She is a SO MUCH BETTER TALENT than most of the crap that's out there.

The Importance of essence and purpose .
No accent from the east west south or north determines self purpose. Its intention with truth.

Another great performance from Paloma and the band, it's gonna be a fantastic 2015 summer festival season for them back in the UK.

She actually did sing with Prince in London, she was very lucky to have been able to do that before he passed away.

I agree, the situation there looks really odd... but she's so talented.
Check out Paloma at 2015 Glastonbury . Great stuff !

WAH why didn't i know about this I feel like an irresponsible fan . I would've gone and made such a fuss, LOVE HER.
Shame the audience doesn't seem to appreciate the superstar they have in front of them. I would have been the idiot in the audience going mental ;-)
Chris Wilkinson ya audience dont know how much paloma its a great singer... i love paloma. i think she´s great singer..... since i see her in rock in rio lisbon last year i become a fan......
