  • “What is it about praying for dew that prompted composers to set it to music, cantors to sing it, and most of all, generations of Jews to let it capture our hearts and imagination?” Rabbi Elliot Cosgrove asks in a sermon about Tal, a Passover prayer for dew that is considered a cantorial crown jewel. Using dew as a metaphor for measured leadership, the rabbi explains that, “There are times when our strongest and best move is to gently provide a layer of dew to sustain life for another day.” We wish you a happy, sweet, and gentle Passover.
