Thanks for doing my quiz guys! I tried to do tough but not impossible questions, with a couple of tricks and layups thrown in. A couple of mistakes people have pointed out: - Alexa did debut on the date I said, but had her debut match against Becky a little later on August 9th. - Matt Hardy vs The Ringmaster (Stone Cold) aired on January 15th, not January 8th. I thought I had been pretty solid in my fact-checking but those ones obviously got past me so I apologise. I will be more stringent when it comes to any future quizzes I may submit.
Steve Austin debuted in the WWF as The Ring Master. Managed by Ted DiBiase, clean shaven with a buzz cut. He knew immediately that the gimmick wasn't going to go anywhere so he pitched a cold blooded killer type character and WWF creative at the time gave him a list of ridiculous ice and cold themed names. He talked about that whole thing when he was on Hot Ones.
What's funny about the first question is that John was actually correct about Simon Dean also having The Boogeyman's first TV match, even though the question was about Bobby Lashley. Too bad there isn't any extra credit points.

9:18 I only remember that It was this guy, beacause there's a story time by Chris Jericho on Inside the ropes when he talks about it and how he called Taker for advice
Booker T and Bagwell is considered the worst match because of the crowd reaction, It was during an episode of Raw and they had the ring done up in WCW colors, Lighting, Even changed the entrance around and had spotlights, It was meant to be the launch of WCW as its own brand, It was too soon though and the audience was full of WWF loyalists that just spent years booing WCW, To say the reaction was negative is an understatement, You can't even hear the announcers over the boos in some recordings, Plans for the launch were immediately scrapped and the idea wouldn't be revived until years later with Smackdown
Correction on the wording of question 7: The Matt Hardy vs Steve Austin(then called "The Ringmaster") match actually aired on the January 15, 1996 Raw.
I got 17 points and I guessed wrong on the Ricochet question. I knew easily Lashley, Rousey, Batista, Marella, Fandango, Del Rio, Dom Dom, Stratus, Finn and Corbin. The others required some thinking but I got them. Great quiz and video John, Dante and Sofia.
I finished with 16. Thanks to Corbin, so dissapointed on the riott squad answer, I guessed Absolution (Paige, Mandy and Sonya) who debuted like 3 days earlier. Thanks for another great quiz.
That Dominique question tricky. I remember being tricked on a Fabio question where they asked his film debut. I thought early 90’s. but he was a baby in the movie Atlas Against The Cyclops in 1961.
I have no clue about the Pandemic era, but as soon as I heard 'first appeared on WWE TV more than 17 years before this event' my mind instantly went to the 'Custody of Dominik ladder match. For some reason this whole story line with Eddie claiming to be his father always stuck with me for how absurd I thought it was, even as a child.
This was one of the easiest questions of the quiz, to be honest. I know in 2020 Rey had a feud with Seth that culminated with Rey "losing" his eye and Dominic defending him. Also saw the Rey and Eddie feud years before and Dom was ringside almost every week
So. The 2019 question with Ricochet. What happened was that raw was losing numbers, so they implemented the wildcard rule, and then brought up Ciampa and Gargano as a tag team, Ricochet, and Aleister Black. Where the latter 2 became a team since DIY got injured
Virgil was bodyguard for Ted DiBiase , sometimes he was a substitute for DiBiase and sometimes his tag team partner right from 1987 to Royal Rumble 1991 where they beat Dusty and Dustin Rhodes . After the match Virgil turned against DiBiase and began a feud with him which lasted up to This Tuesday In Texas a week after Survivor Series 1991 . At that event Virgil teamed with Tito Santana and lost to DiBiase and Repo Man .
Yeah Jericho did not like the idea of losing to Fandango because he felt the gimmick was too dumb and wouldn't last long. Jericho is a guy that doesn't mind putting over young talent but yeah that was during the time Fandango's gimmick didn't take off.
Lowkey tripped out at how this was filmed previously yet John still had the belt during his stream for all in just assumed he won this from the jump lol
Didn't count my points, but I knew Dominik (took me way too long, though) and the Riott Squad, though I forgot that Sarah Logan was part of it. I had Shotzi down as third member. I also knew Corbin won the Memorial Battle Royal as his Main Roster debut. But these questions were absolutely brutal.
Honestly looking back as a wrestler Alberto del rio was underrated he had a good match with cena and that triple threat with punk and cena was rlly good. I think he shouldn’t have been put threw the punk because of how red hot punk was. But he honestly wasn’t a bad wrestler at all. I think as a person though he isn’t for obvious reasons

Question 2 is wrong. Alexa Bliss made her on-screen first appearance that night, but didn't actually wrestle her first match until August 9, where she did beat Becky. On July 26, Natalya beat Becky.
They should’ve made the quiz exclusively with tv (Raw/Smackdown) and not PPV. So there can be trick questions where someone’s first match was on PPV but first tv match is some time later
Here are my guesses, SPOILERS: 1) The Boogeyman 2) Alexa Bliss? 3) Keith Lee? 4) Ronda Rousey 5) Batista 6) Sarah Logan, Ruby Riot and Liv Morgan? 7) Stone Cold St-I mean, The Ringmaster 8) Santino Marella 9) Fandigo. I mean, Fandango 10) Alberrtooooo Del Rrrrrrrrriiiiooooo 11) Booker T 12) Dominik Guerre-I mean, Mysterio 13) Trish Stratus 14) Finn Bàlor 15) (I'm wagering 9 points) Baron Corbin 23 points, I think. BTW, whoever calls Buff Bagwell vs. Booker T "the worst match ever" hasn't watched a lot of wrestling. Mere months later Kronik and the BoD had a match that outstunk it 10-fold. And don't get me started on Heroes of Wrestling...
He made his WWE debut just before Summerslam 1991 as 'the real world champion'and WWE would video distort his 'real world title' . His WWE pay per view debut was at Survivor Series that year he teamed with Warlord , Mountie and Ted DiBiase to defeat Roddy Piper , Virgil , Bret Hart and British Bulldog . Later in the evening he interfered in the WWE title match between Hulk Hogan and Undertaker costing Hogan the belt . He would interfere again in the rematch at This Tuesday In Texas a week later but Hogan won the match and regained the belt . WWE president Jack Tunney stripped Hogan of the belt due to the controversy in both matches and the belt was awarded to the winner of the 1992 Royal Rumble .
Funny story from me regarding Simon Dean. As a kid, I thought his fitness videos were legit and thought they were legit commercials during Raw. When I saw him actually show up and wrestle, I thought “huh, the fitness instructor is also a wrestler?! That’s pretty cool” Didn’t realize until years later that they were just his video packages to get him ready to debut.

@alexshuttleworth17 can you guide me to put my quiz in to their mail or something. It will be very helpful to me.
You gotta love when Dante hits his signature "Oh Wait!" move.
John is a time traveler putting down Bianca debuting in 2016, Randy Orton debuting in 2005 and Mr Kennedy in 2010 lmao
Steve Austin debuted in the WWF as The Ring Master. Managed by Ted DiBiase, clean shaven with a buzz cut. Some of the pitched names were incredible. Chilly McFreeze.... lol
And I could be mistaken, but I'm sure his wife came up with it in reference to a cup of tea.
Haha I didn't know that. Appears to be true though as the man said it himself: ruclips.net/video/jlRrxmXtnWE/видео.html
What's funny about the first question is that John was actually correct about Simon Dean also having The Boogeyman's first TV match, even though the question was about Bobby Lashley.

Only just starting the video but John guessing Orton on the 1st question when he recently celebrated 20 years made me laugh.
Bros wrestling knowledge is outta pure luck. Plus, he's a poor sport I've noticed in recent videos

It's crazy how much knowledge Dante has with wrestling

Matt hardy debuted before stone cold is wild to me
The finn debut was in Pittsburgh and I was there. It was awesome to see him wrestle twice in 1 night.

Nice quiz guys! Just wondering if there’s a Bray Wyatt tribute quiz comin :)
Hey guys, can u do the quiz “GUESS THE WRESTLER WITH MOST WWE MATCHES”. I have sent it couple of months back
Off the top of my head, Ziggler and Kane are def up there
@@Alphine172 yes and many more unexpected wrestlers up there who wrestled most matches,
Randy Fs up there
@@Alphine172Kane didn't have a lot of actual matches, he would just show up and wreck shit early on.
Damn, Dante how you know all this? 🤣🤣🤣 hes literally dialed in and answering these so quick lol
The 17 year earlier part made it easier. It had to be a kid of a wrestler at that point
10:37 Mr Kennedy won MITB in 2006 😭
2007
You guys are my comfort channel. Thanks so much for the quizzes!
i got the fandango one instantly lmaoo thats the only one i knew off rip love the videos keep up the good work SCW
This man John guessed Mr Kennedy debuting in 2010 💀
Lmaooo he guessed Orton debuting in 2005
Bro also said Bianca debuted in 2016 John's lost in this one
You guys should on onto Sporcle and do a live stream of their wwe quizes

You guys should do which wrestler had the best mustache 😂
You guys should do a recorded reaction of you guys listening to Chris talk about that WM match and Fandango

- guess the wrestler by their endorsements
- guess the wrestler by their national scandals
- guess the wrestler by their not-at-all-well-known-movies

I also send a similar quiz. "Guess the WWE wrestlers by their PPV debut"
Haha I love that of the two or three that I got, Dom was actually one of them and only because of the 17 years ago portion.
Good quiz this, and yes Ric flair is a dumb answer John as he debuted in the 90s 😂
Simon Dean was Nova in ECW.
I was SHOCKED that I got all of these
Booker v Buff was considered bad because it was a WCW fight in front of RAW fans so no one gave a shit and it just got booed out of the building.
I feel the world is in order when the belt is around Dante..
Yeah Jericho did not like the idea of losing to Fandango because he felt the gimmick was too dumb and wouldn't last long. Jericho is a guy that doesn't mind putting over young talent but yeah that was during the time Fandango's gimmick didn't take off.
Savio Vega was Steve Austin's first mach as "stone cold". The Ringmaster first match was Matt Hardy though.

Idea " Guess the wrestler by the 8-bit theme"
