The wrap commemorates the 60th anniversary Bristol Bus Boycott, an important event in the story of race relations, in which the city's then bus operator was forced to overturn a union ban on the employment of Black and Asian people in the roles of driver or conductor, paving the way for the Race Relations Acts of 1965 and 1968.
