And yet you invested not only the time to watch the clip but also post a presumptuous comment about my "existence".
My point, was that it's refreshing to watch these segments from late night talk shows of yesteryear which were a stark contrast to the ones today where the main theme is to continue the same four-year long (and continuing) temper tantrum about political figures.

When I was a kid growing up in the 60's I had a carbide cannon, it had a little scoop in the end piece you put some carbide powder, then you inserted it and turned it dumping the carbide in a water reservoir producing the gas then you hit the flint sparked and BOOM! It made one hell of a noise but you couldn't shoot anything with it. Of course, for kids, it was all about the big noise.

That was awesome but I wish they would have continued to show and see what happened to the little basketball guy

I saw this live the first time. Funniest thing I ever saw on TV I think. I seem to remember Doc playing TAPS before the shot was fired... must be thinking of something else. I also remember Lake Carson hosting a "Liberian Tanker" which had been in the news, and something started smoking. I remember a burning wastebasket and Ed pouring his Budweiser on it. I think I probably had consumed a few Budweisers myself and that's why my memory is faulty.
