I've watched a lot of your videos, all the way back to when you first got this boat - but I've got some questions now that you've owned it for over a year. Do you wish you had optioned the 75hp engine? Also would you have gotten the hydraulic steering if you had it to do over?
I’ve had the boat for two years now. The max hp on this model is 60hp if the 75hp was available at the time like the newer model has I would have got it. And I find no issues with the steering it’s a small boat so I don’t think hydraulic is necessary. Unless you don’t want the small amount of torque steer that happens at throttle (barely noticeable)
@@WeekendPirate I know you posted a video while back saying you had to get some warranty work done, and that may have been the same video where you replaced the thermostat. What are the biggest "issues" you've had with the boat/engine?

@@WeekendPirate Tell me about it. We have been under a heat advisory everyday for almost 3 weeks now with "feels like" temps of 104,105 or so here in Tampa.
What’s your thoughts on the pro skiff? Would you buy again? Also how does it compare to a flats boat with a v hull like the mako lts or what not if you’ve ever been on one of them? Thank you!
My bimini folds all the way down.. looking to get a trolling motor for my skiff
So does mine. But because I got the bikini with the brackets that hold it up it’s kind of annoying to do, so I rarely do it. I’m looking into getting a trolling motor on my boat. Not sure which one to get yet.

This is 2018. The current 2020 model base price starts at $18,995 then after taxes, dealer fee’s, and a couple of add ons you’re probably looking around 21-22k

Had the same problem with my Mako17 Pro! Put stainless in all rod holders, Crab would have been great bait for Red Drum, etc, thinking of a new one
Thanks for sharing video, yeah weather has been extremely unpredictable. When I purchased my ProSkiff I had to change all the screws everywhere. None were stainless, especially the Bow area, rusted within 3 months of purchasing. Tight Lines!

@@WeekendPirate Absolutely. I got tired of returning boat (brand new) to dealer every few weeks. Finally got rid of it, bought another model! Was frustrating because I enjoyed that boat, gave me good times.

Wow, that’s insane. I looked it up they said there are special chefs in japan that can prepare and serve pufferfish. But it’s still very dangerous. I won’t be eating them ever.
