The technique used in suisei's vid is called rotoscoping, and yeah its drawing on top of a person to emulate a more humanlike movement
Which gives it a sense of scale as well they are dealing with real actors on set even though it's animated the director/staff are interacting with their creation in a cool way.
And it was painstakingly hard to do as well... Kudos to the animators
Its also probably why it looks choppy at the end. They likely dropped the frame rate to below 12 to make it blend easier without needing to do like 20k frames.
It's also a technique most old Disney movies used to make magic
so it went well with the theme of the song
That is why has been need around 12 animators to do it.
For Suisei's video, if you notice, even when the dancer has the IRL body at the end, it's like 12 fps tops, on purpose: the animated parts are more than likely rotoscoped, and anime does not show 60 different frames per second, usually, so in order to make it so that the body and the animated parts (head and hands) run at the same speed, it looks like that.
So yes, it's more than likely rotoscoped. Not the first video by Suisei that uses that technique.

The Fake Type song is BOTH, an original and cover; Both this, and the Vocaloid version were released at the same time. They did the same thing, last month with another Fake Type song, "Love Frustration", where they released the Miku version, and the Chloe version at the same time.
That feeling when you are winning so hard that composers make vocaloid music inspired by your vocals and fit for them explicitly.
I remember Okayu had something similar too last year iirc.

I still associated the Bibidi Babidi Boo part with Mikochi mispronouncing Wii Wii Woo's lyrics. Speaking of the business partner: Have you heard Kyun Kyun Miko Kyun Kyun yet? It's basically the sequel to My Name Is ELITE☆, and a certified bop.
I think it's a happy coincidence. Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo is from Cinderella in 1950. Miko might have been referencing that too at the time

I think it's really cool how Bibideba carries forward the theme from Stellar Stellar, "I don't want to be Cinderella".

in marine case actually kinda funny for me.. an ex vocaloid project members, got pick up by a vocaloid composer song DYES IWASAKI, to sing his original song.. what a dejavu is this

Her original song... it's DYES IWASAKI song btw, he's the one who make the song, paid the project and else, he already done with the lyrics but he need a person to sing his song.. so there's marine who become his candidate, so he hired marine to sing his song.. in simple we can say it's a collab song... if u ask who's song is this? it's DYES song.. marine just sing his song, actually u can check marine or DYES tweet actually.. marine said it's not her original song, even DYES said "it's my original song guys.. but because of you guys always ask the same question that makes me want to make her own original song from me". Marine upload the song with her voice, DYES upload the song with Hatsune miku voice.. so there's 2 version of this song actually.
re: the animation, they clearly rotoscoped the animation, so there was a person they traced for it, when she gets outside they had to reduce the framerate of the person down to the animation framerate so as to keep the animated hands and head matching the body, i mean they're trying to make both move with the dancer which is some tough shit to do. thats why the dancer seems a bit rough. Rather then slow the dancer down they probably pulled out every other frame.
DD used to animate some of Fake Type videos, and they even made an album together

I count it as an original Simply because it doesn't say cover as with all others and the fact that when this song was made it was with her in mind. The only thing that separates is that she wasn't as involved as the others. At the very least it is an alternate version of the official song. A vocaloid was used in the first release due to DYES IWASAKI not being a singer themselves.

This is all conjecture, take this with a grain of salt. The low frame rate (and artifacting on the darker areas) could also be the limitations of the 360 camera they used. While 360 cameras like the Insta360 are getting better and better, they still struggle with low light conditions, like the ending dance sequence. They used this limitation to their advantage though when they rotoscoped the actor’s movements. But that’s just a theory…
