Hi Daryna, I love watching you teach. You make it look so easy! I am about to do an online CELTA and have a question. Are we allowed to correct or suggest things during the freer practice? I was under the impression that we need to do a delayed correction. Can you throw some light on this please? Is it better to do a delyed correction during a CELTA lesson just to be on the safe side? Thanks
@@Anna-gd8nk Hi Anna 👋🏼 thank you so much and good luck with your CELTA course 😊 As a CELTA tutor, I’d say that there’s no such thing as a ‘CELTA lesson’, there are just lessons :) there’s also no such thing as the ‘CELTA method’, etc. You also don’t need to be on the safe side. You just need to do your best to make effective teaching decisions at specific moments, which, of course, your CELTA tutors will help you with. And also, we can’t learn and develop as teachers without making mistakes - so don’t be afraid of making mistakes in your lessons when you do your CELTA course - your tutors will always provide you with valuable feedback and you’ll get to discuss everything. Regarding correcting- it’s best not to correct when the focus is fluency, but again, if it is absolutely necessary, then you need to correct. For example, if your learners are not using the target language correctly in a language systems lesson (Let’s say the focus is present continuous, but the learners keep saying ‘I going…, I eating…, He are talking…., etc.). In this case, you have to correct to ensure that they carry on appropriately. Hope this helps 😊
Hi! What framework is this? PPP? But why it has listening for gist? A little bit confused. Could you please elaborate on this? I would love to purchase one of your zoom lessons but it's not possible to purchase only one, right? Does one have to purchase all?

Hi! This is a text-based lesson. No, you cannot purchase one lesson only, you get three together and the course is extremely affordable for everyone 😊
