Yay! Just today after watching some Roller dance videos from Atlanta and Texas.. Again.. As I do once in a while because it's about the coolest thing to watch, ever.. I put on my roller-skates and just started vacuum cleaning my Livingroom like that with the video still on, music loud, rolling stumbling grooving and cleaning. I used to ice-skate a lot, for fun, as a kid and wasn't bad at it. My favorite thing would be the disco evenings at the skating-rink. It was like my first taste of dancing with a crowd.. I remember I was 9 or 10, a big MJ fan, (so YAYYY TO YOUR MOONWALKING!!!) and one of the youngest and one of the only ones that would actually dance.. Anyways, I have not skated in such a longg time.. But I literally dream of skating now and then and they are the happiest dreams where I feel like I'm just floating a few inches above the ground and my legs are just free to glide and move in every direction.. Every time I wake up from such a dream I'm a little emotional because it was such an enjoyable experience. You just feel FREE! I'm 43 now but I am learning how to do this.. i am learning HOW TO DO THIS! Right in my Livingroom!! Thank you for teaching, super happy to have found your channel because you can do this and I am stumbling hahah.. And I want to be more like you here! I decided I'm going to upload a 'short' video every saturday of my progress and just practise a little everyday in-between. I have found a teacher and I'm SUPER EXCITED :))
I have limited movement in my left leg so for example when I try to do the open book transition or go in a circle with someone I struggle with turning my left foot and it almost feels impossible so are there any moves that you would recommend for me (I'm a beginner and have been practicing for 1 month). Any tips would be very much appreciated❤ (I'm also left handed so I prefer to do everything on my right side)
Sounds like you might have sciatica. Try doing the side surf, and also try hula-hooping (you don't have to do that on skates, lol), those two things have really helped me a lot.
Hey Hon, if you think there might be a medical issue check with your doctor, otherwise it sounds like you just haven’t developed/conditioned the muscles you need to feel equally flexible on both sides. That is super normal, we all have a “favorite side”. The key is to practice movements on the more awkward side until it feels less awkward. MsTishalish recommend a side surf. Excellent idea!Make sure to go in both directions. I may do a video on the side surf and increasing flexibility/mobility 🤔😃. In the meantime keep up the good work!!! ✋🏾
@@rollerdivadancefit4851 Thank you sooo much I definitely appreciate all the help and advice that has been given to me.I'll most definitely be waiting on that video because I feel like you always break it down perfectly.Your actually the reason I learned how to transition on my toes😁 keep up the awesome work!!💗
J'adore ❤❤
