- En l'absence de vidéo de la version studio de "La Pioggia", j'ai synchronisé l'enregistrement studio du single sur une vidéo de la TV Italienne réalisée lors du festival de San Remo en 1969 où France chantait en live.

In the absence of video of the version studio of "La Pioggia", I synchronized the recording studio from the single on a video from Italian TV realized during the festival of San Remo in 1969 where France sang it in live.

I wish she could have filmed Alice in Wonderland. She would have been a star in American and beyond. Unfortunately, Walt Disney passed away and the project was scrapped. She would have been a perfect Alice! Walt saw her sing and wanted her and only her to play Alice. She never wanted to act, only concentrate on singing, but she liked Disney movies and was intrigued. Just as smart as she is pretty👍

Almost! I think the only thing she needed was a songwriter who could work with her to push the limits of pop artistically and make a cult album that can beat Françoise Hardy's "La question". Michel Berger isn't that songwriter, but whatever songs she's left us with is good enough :)
Star Guy Thing Michel Berger was a genius and wrote to her wife all the songs she needed and suite her very well ! She was a star in France and she was well known in different countries too.

On her *album "France 1968" she came very close* to making a Cult-Art album with a balance between Baroque Pop and Exotic touches ("Chanson indienne", "Nefertiti") and something Motown Soul on her controversial "Teenie Weenie Boppie" (about LSD). But there was a terrible decision to put the disastrous song "La Petite" at the end, which thwarted the whole conception of what could be a more than round album. Also, by those years 1968/69 she was at the top of her youthful sex appeal.
@@zonalibrer3357 I think I'd been listening to 1968 on repeat at the time I made that comment. It's a good album and rather exotic but it didn't do a good job of breaking boundaries sonically quite well, I feel.
Also La petite was indeed a disaster in the moralistic sense. It doesn't sound bad, but the lyrics just feel rather unsettling having learned of what they meant as someone who doesn't understand French at all.
@@parasatc8183 Well, I have listened to Francoise Hardy and she does not convince me at all to position her as an artist far superior to France Gall, *she (Hardy) is only constantly darker* compared to the several times "naive" Gall. In terms of "strictly sound" the general of FG's repertoire seems exquisite to me, although her most lost period was under La Compagnie and half of what she recorded in German which was far from being marked. They always tried to frame what comes from the country of France as having to be "dense" and "intellectual". France Gall proved that good French music that conveyed melancholy or good mood could be made with grand arrangements.

The differences between France Gall's and Gigliola Cinquetti's voices are like night and day - I mean that positively. France's is sweet and breathy, whereas Gigliola's is quite whole and womanly, and both have different kinds of songs suited to them.
If they would have won Sanremo in 1969, they both would have won two Eurovision Song Contest editions. Imagine a duet between the two: two voices so different but so fitting one with the other.
