- May 2024: Kia Sonet Variants Explained: In this video, we review Sonet’s variants to find out which variant makes the most sense for buyers in terms of the value it offers for the money you pay. Watch the video to find out which variant of the Sonet suits your needs best.
The 2024 Sonet is 3995mm long, 1790mm wide and 1642mm tall. Bigger exterior dimensions give a car a stronger road presence. The Sonet has a 2500mm long wheelbase. A long wheelbase makes the car more stable at high speeds and gives better legroom in the back seat, while a shorter wheelbase makes the car more agile.
The 2024 Kia Sonet has a fuel tank capacity of 45 litres and a boot space measuring 385 litres. The Sonet has a ground clearance of 205mm. The tyre size of the 2024 Sonet base model is 195/65 R15 and the top model rides on 215/60 R16 tyres.
The Kia Sonet is available with 3 engine options: a 1.0L turbo Petrol, a 1.2L naturally aspirated Petrol and a 1.5L turbo Diesel. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol churns out 83PS of power at 6000rpm and 115Nm of torque at 4200rpm. The 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
The 1.0L turbo petrol is rated to deliver 120PS of power at 6000rpm and 172Nm of torque between 1500 and 4000rpm. You can get the 1.0L turbo petrol engine of the Sonet with a 6-speed MT Manual and a 7-speed DCT Automatic.
The 1.5L turbo Diesel makes 116PS of power at 4000rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1500 and 2750rpm. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed TC.
Prices of the 2024 Kia Sonet start from Rs. 7.99 lakh and go up to Rs. 14.75 lakh.

Bought Sonet HTK+ MT in Jan and then Kia launched HTK(O). I wish it was launched earlier as it offers so much more value than HTK+ MT. Anyways, amazing content like always.

Thanku V3 cars , after watching ur previous video on sonet facelift variants I bought sonet turbo petrol htk plus and I feel happy now. Only drawback is low mileage but my running is less so it's fine.
What's the mileage you get?

@@dushyantkhareta4973 You mileage in city is good but for highways keep the max speed to 80 kmph... I got 21-22 on highways with cruise control set to 75, the new cruise control works like race and release technique giving you more mileage.

This car starts at under 9 lacs (on road), best value is just over 10 lacs, but it tops out at over 16 lacs (petrol) which is not worth considering at all. Better options at that price, jeez..

I am planning to buy Sonet, confused between its two variants- HTK(O) & the HTK+ 1.0 Turbo engine. It will be my primary car for the family with 50-50 Highway & City driving. Also, I am not a huge fan of speed driving and drive at max 100-120 km/h occasionally on highways.

@@aakashsindhwani1856 purchased the htx dct variant. Does not feel underpowered at all. Infact had taken test drives of other comparable cars in the category and felt the sonet to be user friendly.
HTK(O) looks like a great buy but missed feature like Reverse camera which could have made it a great great choice.

Where is imt variant details
Really annoying that only the top variants get rear washer and wiper. It’s an important feature which shouldn’t be locked to such a high price.
Please compare 1.0 Turbo HTX vs XUV 3XO AX 5 , which one to buy....
Go for Sonet if you need better after sales experience and vip treatment at the service station... They listen to you... 9 out of 10 rating is bad for both the sales and the service team so they will take good care of you.

Let me help you... I have HTX imt... In city, please use auto engine turn off option, don't accelerate hard, keep the Rpm below 1500, use race and release technique, don't keep the car in gear in city traffic. For highways, don't drive over 80 kmph, I keep my cruise control set to 75 and I get 21-22 mileage... If you do not have cruise control in your car get it installed for just 3500 Rs... Available in Delhi... Check youtube videos...

Sonet is better. Have taken test drive of both. Nothing special about 3X0, limited boot space.

Speak with customers using Sonet for the last few years, take their feedback and the after sales experience. I met a few customers in Kia and I was surprised the loyalty they have for the brand... Jaise khareed liya ho... Hahaha... With Mahindra, it's like talking to goons. You will feel suffocated visiting the service station... I own a Sonet and I have driven almost 6 different brand cars... Maruti lost me forever, Tata lacks the engine refinement and after sales, Ford stopped selling cars and having driven ford ecosport this car has the best NVH levels
