1:50:00 I really hope nobody in chat works in education... she's still struggling getting to grips with the basics and they constantly flood her with information that means nothing to her 😕I like the play-through but chat... wow is chat dense at times
1:27:00 your chat is absolute cancer. They are telling you to get rid of Rogier?? WHY? Just let him help on the fight. There is no way youll beat Margit 1st try anyway. "You want to reset your stuff before you move forward" 1:31:32 Chat: "Hold the attack button when they go down like that" No, this is incorrect advice from your chat as usual. You walk up to a staggered foe from the front or back and TAP the R1, short attack button (without any directional keys held) to do a visceral stab attack on staggered enemy for large damage. Its like your chat has never played Elden Ring and they are pretending like they did. You are doing quite well for someone who never used a controller before though. Beating Margit in 30 minutes at level 11 is AMAZING. The idea is he is supposed to stop the player until they level up to around lvl 30 and come back with stronger weapons and armor. But you beat him without much exploration at all really. Very impressive. Jelly is awesome with his poision :) Elden Ring is a notoriously hard game. Its not unforgiving but it can be brutal. Especially the DLC. Watching your journey is fun.
@@Vartazian360 I’m so glad you’re enjoying the playthrough! I’m having fun learning! We’re dialed back some of the bsckseating, and I think I’ve hit my stride
Right as i posted this someone told you about two handing and the cadence. Just in case no one has told you, here's some tips. I know you've got more eps i havent watched yet. 1. Hold Y and either R1 or L1 to two hand your weapon. 2. Fighting in souls games has a cadence to it. Less button bashing and panic rolling, pick your moments to attack or heal. 3. ER has a poise mechanic. Poise varies by weapon and attack type, it makes that noise when you break their poise. Follow up with reposte (front attack) or back attack. Front does more damage than back. 4. You dont need to physically dodge the enemies weapon. Timing your roll gives you invincibility frames (i-frames). Your body can pass right through the weapon during this brief moment. 5. Dodge towards to direction the enemies swing comes from to limit the overlap between the weapon hit box and your body.
just so you know.... the "ruins" that get marked on the map have basements. You saw the entrance to the basement area in the first ruins but never went down the stairs. At least once or twice, you were right by the entrance to a cave but missed it and went the other way.
Some people think that using any help means you are a bad player, which isn't true. The downside is that when you use a sumon, the boss has a bit more health. I say if they are there, try them out. If you die, you don't have to use them next time.
You got yourself a brass shield. The best available at this stage of the game. You might need a little more strength though. Makes the guard counter a viable attack
chat was telling her not to use the summons because for some reason a part of the souls community seems to think that everyone has to beat all the bosses without using any help or they aren't worthy of playing, which is fine for someone who has hours of play in the game and is used to the controls and has the confidence in their skills to do it and wants to try. I think it unrealistic to expect that of someone who is new to this type of game, unfamiliar with the controls, and (no offense), doesn't have the time in the game and hasn't mastered the skills needed. Use the summons and whatever else you want to use. The game should be fun, after all it's a game........
@@Vitamin_Ems I recommend at least try each boss few times without summons. It is much more fun because you have to learn move set, but in case of some bosses can be very difficult. If doesnt work than summon.
