    WINDY DAYS are exactly when you bring this model out because you still want to fly but don't want to risk your other fragile planes. :) Nice review.

    Another great video and review Fitz!! That looks to be a great 3D trainer as you mentioned. The quality of the product looks rather good as well.

    Great review and nice flying sir! Thanks for discussing adjusting the radio settings. I find that a requirement for this plane (recently purchased it).

    I've put a little 7.4v lipo low power alarm on my one 👍🏼its brilliant no more timer for flights,can see the lights turn red then shortly after you get alarm sound 😎

    I thought the price was really high but when you showed the programmability of the radio I changed my mind. There are a lot of small scale models that would benefit from not only the radio but the system,. Mine arrives on Thursday. Thanks for the excellent review. I like the PC programming.

    I tried to download the file like you did but it wont let me open it. And on your video the icon for the file on your desktop says "Radio link parameter, mine says T8S&T8FB(BT) and wont let me open the file. Norton also told me not to open the file as it detected viruss. So I over rided it. So now it wont work and I let virus`s on my computer. GREAT. Thank you Radiolink

    I tried flying this model the other night and i have to reset all the control surfaces to the least amount of travel manually and like you said there's to much travel and is twitchy to fly. My other radio has duo rates and exponential that can all be done at the flying field. I'm also kind of Leary of down loading anything on my wife's laptop.

      Hi, we've updated byme-a to v2.0, except added normal vertical mode, and we have optimized fly experience. like these:
      1. Horizontal calibration is more accurate than before.
      2. Modify the compensation angle of the crane, vertical mode fly is easier.
      3. Upgraded attitude and control algorithm to let Byme-A more accurate, stable and fast control.
      4. Gyroscope power-on self-inspection faster than before.

      ya dude. be careful. They dont work anyway. And my anti virus was begging me not to dowload them but I over rode it trying to put expo on this dam plane

    • @josephryan6593
      @josephryan6593 Год назад

      @@davidcunningham530 So Dave did you get any expo in the radio ? And if you did so by using the laptop ?? There has to be an easier way than going past the anti virus. If i had known the problem i won't have bought the plane.

      @@josephryan6593 Just use a Multi Protocol OpenTX/EdgeTX Radio. I believe the supplied Radiolink receiver is supported by the 4-in1 module firmware now. If not throw the receiver and add just about any AETR order S-bus/PPM receiver you want. Expo/Multi level rate/Exotic mixes all at your fingertips. Also you can rearrange the modes on the switches to suit yourself.
      This plane has never taken off as it has always been overpriced. Oddly enough the little Byme stab unit is fairly reasonably priced and works OK for cheap foamies. Since the Radiolink radios have no JR bay they have never got much market traction either.

  • @josephryan6593
    @josephryan6593 Год назад

    You have done all these upgrades for the radio parameters but is it still done only with a laptop or can i get into the transmitter itself??

    How can you reduce the sensitivity of the gyro on this plane?

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Год назад

      There is no way to alter the gain on the Byme. The only thing you can do is change where your pushrod wires are positioned on the servo and control horns. This little flight control was evidently designed for this plan-form plane but it also works very well in other smaller foamies. With those you may well have to adjust the pushrod mounting to suit. For a different stab unit that DOES allow a LOT of configuration options (and also GPS and OSD capabilities at a very good price) check out the Lefei Sparrow 3. 😉

    I heard about you talking about this model on the RC Roundtable podcast. I remembered it, or something like it long ago. I had seen this model when looking at my old transmitter upgrade options (I started with an AT10) on radiolink's website. This model always struck me as on the maybe list. Now after seeing this review I am thinking.... I should. But is it a good general beginner craft, after proper setups (for learning children), or is it just suited to beginner 3d pilots (me), what's your take?
    Thanks for the podcast and review here Fitz.

    • @HobbyView
      @HobbyView  2 года назад +3

      Thanks for listening to the Podcast.
      I would not recommend this for a a beginner aircraft, it's more for experienced pilots looking for a small, take anywhere model that's 3D capable.

    What kind of maintenance is required for planes like these?

  • @davidcunningham530
    @davidcunningham530 Год назад

    So everytime I change the mode it throws the trim off. I set all the throws while in manual mode. Now if I change to any other flight mode like Gyro or vertical mode it makes my elevator and Ailerons way off trim.

    • @Radiolink_official
      @Radiolink_official Год назад

      Hello, sir. May I know what function do you want to set?

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Год назад +1

      Sounds like you are not familiar with these cheap plug-and-play stab units David. You should do the "level calibration" to set the normal nose-up attitude for the plane to fly level at half throttle, then fly in "Manual", trim it out, then land and adjust the servo linkages to get those deflections at stick center with the trim removed. Then when you switch between "Stabilized" etc and "Manual" and back, the surfaces won't shift. Only way to set this stabilizer - some others have a "learn radio" calibration which tells the stab that the trims you have added in "Manual" are to be regarded as the stick level-flight values in "Stabilized" etc. Have fun with it.

    And now I even spent an hour downloading onto a PC. IT reads my controller on the first page and even saves my settings on DR and EXPO but it will not have these features work on my plane. I tried useing my cell phone and pc. This software does not work hence you cannot setup rates or expo. So I think this is bullshit. My computer was telling me I shouldn't down load these files from Hong Kong so basically all I probley did was give my computer a virus. AWSOME
