Bless 🙌you both for helping the poor animals!!! 🙏 and supporting the Locals. We are immigrants and residents retired in Costa Rica. We want to come visit your area for vacation because we have never been there.I enjoy your videos. Pura Vida 😊
Pura vida! I love that saying! It is so positive :) Thanks for watching and commenting. One day we hope to be able to help the animals even more as our videos get more popular. Who knows where it can go! Come and visit us! We'd love to meet up and chat retired life in Costa Rica and Mexico. Have a great day! Bonito día :)
Thank you for your support! I am feeling much better now. Have to spray up and lotion up every time I go outside...kind of a pain but in time I am sure it will become a habit, like brushing my teeth :). Hasta la próxima !
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Puerto Vallarta is amazing and we are loving sharing our experiences living here with everyone! Have a great day!
...for a contrast, before we got solar panels, our highest electric bill was $683 in a small 2 bedroom house in San Diego. Love you can get around without a car(s). Thank you for today's video.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Glad you got solar panels and I hope it is making a difference. We loved living in San Diego, the weather is almost perfect all the time, wouldn't you agree? Yes, we are so happy to not have to have a car...less stress for sure. Have a great day!
Hola! Yes, we’re members of the International Friendship Club and have met several friends there. It’s a great opportunity to meet people and give back to the community. Thanks for being here!
I don't blame you guys for renting at all! You then have the freedom to move to other parts of Mexico or anywhere else in the World without too much notice, plus no upkeep of a house. I might eventually buy something in the interior of Mexico, but until then definitely rent. Spain would be my second choice after Mexico also. Happy for you both!
Hola! Nice to see. you here again. Thanks for watching and commenting. Sounds like we are of the same mindset. Travel and less stress is our motto :) We also really liked Guanajuato so might look into staying there for a longer time during the summers. Bonito día!
Sadly, dumping cats on Cuale Island has been a problem forever, since before I moved here in 2011. The city used to occasionally round up all the cats, but I don't know if they still do that. (Priorities change with every new government.) As far as your rent, if you can afford it, more power to you. It's just hard to believe that an apartment in Remance now goes for 1500 USD. Remance used to have not so great of a reputation, but it's probably been gentrified like other areas. I haven't been in Remance since about 2016, so I might have a Rip Van Winkle reaction. Does your building have solar-augmented electricity?
Hola. Thanks for watching and commenting. You must come back to El Remance and see what it is like. It's not really very gentrified, yet. There is one other newer building in our area. You can still rent an apartment for around $700 a month down the street with hot water coming from the sun, no ac, and no washer/dryer. It is sad about the cats. They seem to have the over-population under better control now. There are more birds and iguanas living there. Have you seen the Island lately? It is very pretty. Our building has some solar panels for the common areas and the penthouses. Not for the rest of us :) What neighborhood do you live in?
Great video! Aside from the distance to the US... Did you find Spaniards as welcoming as Mexicans, especially if non-white? How about the cost of living in Spain vs Mexico?
Well, we never really lived in Spain, just visited several times over the years. Every once in awhile I was reminded that my Spanish was from the "Americas" since my accent and use of some words is different than those in Spain. In our experience, they were just as nice as the Mexicans here, but personally, I feel more of a connection in Mexico than in Spain. Thanks for watching and commenting. Enjoy your day!
You two have a special positivity!
That's a nice comment, thank you. And thanks for watching. Glad you are here!
