Please fly the Union Flag the right way up. I am sure you would be most offended if the American flag was flown upside down.

cream and "jay-am" :D "Afternoon Tea" is the one you mean; not "High Tea". People think "High Tea" refers to it being posh but that is not the meaning; it is just a heavier evening meal including meat.

I understand and appreciate your efforts. It is a wonderful thing and you have a lovely place. But...
You have gone to a lot of trouble trying to be British... It is not high tea! That is supper... at the high table. It is English Afternoon Tea... Americans always think it is high tea because it is posh I guess, so high and uppity? I know so many Brits who cater to Americans and willingly use that term when they know better.
Also, it is pronounced "scon"... remember the stone is scone. if it is a good scone... it is gone. This pronunciation is always in dispute however.
Do what you feel is best but I thought you should know after all your effort.

Just "Afternoon Tea", not "English Afternoon Tea".

Everyone thinks it is high tea not just Americans. Seeing how other cultures are pulling from British culture and tradition instead of researching it people will try to emulate the finer things of any society without respecting it and its foundations.
